Playa Blanca Hotels with Balcony

Second visit and a few changes since last time. We heard guests complain about the food in the buffet but I thought the selection was excellent; a lot of fish dishes if that’s your thing. The hotel did have issues keeping some of the dishes hot. Some of the alcoholic drinks now have a supplement. Our room was ‘tired’ but with an extremely comfortable bed and kept spotlessly clean by our excellent maid. It appears that as soon as the hotel decorates a room it becomes a ‘premium’ room and attracts a supplement. Disappointingly the food in the new Italian restaurant was mediocre and we had been so looking forward to it. The menu is limited but that doesn’t seem to help with the quality of the food. The main plus about a visit to the White Suites is the staff. They are genuinely friendly and provide great service. I got the impression that the hotel may be a bit short-staffed because, by goodness, they work their socks off. At times a queue formed at the pool bar but that was often caused by guests ordering coffees. Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and there aren’t many hotels located as centrally as the White Suites. All in all, I thought it was good value and for an all-inclusive winter holiday, just the job.

We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful hotel in October. We were slightly apprehensive upon seeing some reviews but very glad we followed though and booked this hotel. The staff are amazing and very helpful, the facilities are more than satisfactory. The food and drinks are the best I have had in an all inclusive hotel and I have been to several 5 star all inclusive. We will most definitely be returning to the Rubicon Palace in near future!

We are a family of 2 adults and an 8 year old. We travelled here for 5 nights, purely for sunshine, sea swims, and the odd pool dip. I'd say we are a laid back family, despite my odd Mrs Bouquet moments... and our expectations are cleanliness, modern facilities and kind staff. Of which the hotel ticked all of the boxes. The hotel reminds us of an Airbnb with options to suit, if needed. What do I mean by options? We paid half board (£1000 including private transfer with Jet2). The food is definitely basic, but we managed a full belly whenever we used the resteraunt for breakfast or an evening meal. If you have fussy children, or you yourself have the pallet of an 5 year old, then there is always pizza and sugar puffs for breakfast. Was it the best food we ever tasted? No! but If the price was reasonable, I'd opt to come back half board again. It was good to use the credit for drinks and ice cream when we didn't use the resteraunt. We did use the buffet a few nights for ease. We were given 320euro for 5 nights. The sangria is made up from scratch... much nicer than any of the local bars we attended. Thanks pool/resteraunt staff! If you're a technology-phobe don't panic! Check in isn't that bad and there was a kind man at hand to help. We had an issue with our door locking, and when reported to reception the handy man arrived only a few minutes later. Again, thank you! The pool area was fine, but we are more beach people, which is only a 10 minute walk away. Lots of lefftover pool toys for your children to use. 2 of the pools are freezing, but that's part of the fun... What else to say? Overall it's been a pleasant stay. Would we return? Yes, at the same or similar price, but I wouldn't pay more. Hotel, rooms, grounds, staff 4 stars. Food, is just scraping at 3.5. I wonder if they should scrap it completely, or have an order only service. If you like absolute luxury and lots of grub choice, then head elsewhere as this isn't for you... Families on a budget, or those who are happy with the simple things would be suited. Thanks to Mynd and staff

We have just returned from a week at the resort and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The resort itself is very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was exactly as we had hoped and accommodated 2 couples easily. The beds were really comfortable and of a quality that we have at home. There was filtered drinking water available, which we thought was a really positive move towards reducing plastic usage. The onsite restaurant was superb and we ate there more than we had planned on doing. The quality of the food was better than any other onsite restaurant we have ever experienced and again, the staff were fantastic. It is definitely a resort that we will return to.

From the moment you arrive you feel welcomed by the friendly staff. Our suite was expansive, set in a traditional style, with everything you needed. Complimentary water was replenished each day and there was a fridge, microwave and kettle. The hotel was spotless and the cleaning staff kept on top of everything daily. There are quality products in the bathroom including soaps, shampoo, conditioners and shower gels. If you need anything extra you order it on an in- house app and it’s brought to your room. A nice touch is a daily turn down service in the evenings with a complimentary chocolate left on your pillow. The rooms have differing views and the better ones are pool and sea views. We contacted customer relations during our stay with a request which was helpfully accommodated and much appreciated. The location is superb and you can enjoy long walks in either direction along the promenade. The on site restaurants are great. We ate in the Italian and also paid a small supplement to eat breakfast one day in the sea front restaurant. The buffet style breakfasts are also well catered with friendly staff who are very accommodating. There is a beach directly in front of the hotel but also a beautiful pool area if you don’t want to venture too far. Christmas is a big deal at the hotel with a HUGE Christmas tree in reception. There is a complimentary annual production to mark the turning on of the Christmas lights and it’s quite a spectacle. The production has dancing, singing and a magician and it feels quite special. I can’t do it justice in my review! Our stay was perfect. Thank you to the friendly staff at the hotel for making it so.
