"I got a room in the courtyard but it was small and noisy as I could hear every single word of the people chatting in the courtyard. I asked for changing to another room but the hotel was full. At that time, Diego suggested that they had another hotel called ”Ninos Hotel Fierro” nearby and there were few rooms available. After I agreed to have a look at the rooms, he called a taxi and went with me to check the rooms in Fierro. I picked a very nice, quiet room with two beds (one double bed) and the room size is more than double of the previous. There is a also a window towards the big courtyard. After I was fine to change to stay in Fierro for the night, Diego led me to walk back to Meloc (also showed me the directions) and got a taxi for me to transfer my luggage to Fierro. They didn't charge me any taxi fees and the room price was the same. Fierro is just two blocks away from Meloc and it takes about 5 minutes walk only. Both are about 15 minutes of walk to the main square centre. I had a very pleasant stay and good sleep in Fierro that night. Thanks Diego for such a wonderful suggestion and service. Though I didn't stay in Meloc eventually I think I should send my compliments here too !! Two thumbs up !! "

Antigua Casona San Blas

The hotel is in a good location, in the old town, six or seven minutes' walk from the Plaza de Armas. The internal environment of the hotel is very good, the decoration is beautiful and very clean The room is also neat and clean, but there is no exhaust fan in the room. The smell of the bathroom is difficult to dissipate, especially in a closed room without windows. It is almost impossible to dissipate. The service is hard to say. I booked a superior room with a window and a balcony. When I checked in, I was told that the room was not available. I was given an upgraded room. It turned out that the ”upgraded” room was a fully enclosed room with no windows! I don’t agree, but the hotel said they had no room. The result of the “discussion” was to give me a free dinner. I had no choice but to accept it…

Monasterio, A Belmond Hotel, Cusco

Belmond Monasterio: The Best Hotel in Cusco, Beyond Any Comparison Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice. The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece. Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

Palacio Manco Capac by Ananay Hotels

The photos don't do justice to the place! The hotel is fantastic--the location is close enough to the attractions but just outside of the main tourist area since it's up on the hillside, so it's the perfect combination of convenience and relaxation. The check-in process was so welcoming, we felt at home as soon as stepping into the hotel's courtyard. The views from the hotel were unbelievable; the breakfast was great; the rooms were very clean and has all the comforts you'd need. And don't miss the llamas in the backyard! The restaurant staff didn't seem very experienced but it was sufficient.

There’s a baby alpaca that works in the courtyard! The hotel is nice and clean and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is it’s slightly further from the main square, but it’s not too bad if you enjoy strolling through the city. The location is closer to the more local part of Cusco so the restaurants nearby have more Peruvian fare, highly recommend!

Katari Apart Hotel at Qorikancha was the perfect accommodation for my 3-day trip to Cusco! It is in a great central location, within walking distance to the various plazas with shopping and restaurants. My room was great - clean and comfortable with a kitchenette and private bathroom. Alex was an INCREDIBLE host - he was so attentive and responsive and gave me some excellent recommendations for things to do and see and restaurants to eat at. I was able to store my luggage after check out on my last day since I had an evening flight and Alex helped hail a taxi for me to ensure a fair price and safe ride.

The location is really good. Cusco is difficult to get around due to altitude sickness, but it is really comfortable to come in and relax in the middle. There is also a Korean restaurant called Sarangchae right across the street. The downside is that the slaughter is a bit old and there is a club in front of the hotel, so it's a bit noisy until dawn. The staff were friendly and I had a good stay for 3 nights.

The location is near the Plaza de Armas and is very convenient to go anywhere. The room was very clean. There is also a travel agency on the first floor. I am very grateful to the proprietress for her help. Came here for Machu Picchu and couldn’t buy tickets online. When I arrived at the store at 5:30 in the afternoon, the proprietress helped me book a bus➕train trip that would leave at 3:30 in the morning. She also asked me to run to the Hotwater Town Visitor Center as soon as I got off the train, because most people came to queue for that train. Those who buy tickets will wait for dozens more people every minute they are late. I bought the classic Line 2 at 8 o'clock the next morning as I wished, and later booked two one-day tours at the boss's house, as well as a bus to Puno in the evening.

My experience at Andean Dreams Hotel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The highlight was definitely the staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. They kindly allowed me to store my large luggage at the hotel while I traveled to Machu Picchu, which was such a huge help and truly appreciated. The cozy atmosphere was made even better by their thoughtful touch of offering tea available all day — perfect for keeping warm after long days exploring the Andes. It felt like a little home away from home. If you want a place with genuine kindness, helpful service, and cozy comforts in a beautiful setting, Andean Dreams is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region!
