The place is quiet and peaceful, giving a sense of connection with nature. There is a charming restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. The grounds are well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. However, we were not very impressed with the reception staff. They were not the most welcoming or customer-oriented. Additionally, there was a strange situation. We wanted to extend our stay for another night, but we were told that everything was booked, even though the hotel was half empty and various booking platforms like *********** and Trip.com offered to book the same room we had. We decided not to argue and left.

Very friendly people and worm hospitality That very nice hotel

Great resort with very nice villas (some with private pool) and a good spa. The complex is older but well maintained. The staff is very attentive. Breakfast is served in the restaurant with a view of the sea. For dinner, the "Cliffhanger" restaurant is a few minutes' walk away and has a beautiful view of the sunset with a sundowner. We'll be back!

Incredible place!

The appearance of the hotel is unique. However, it is not recommended especially for families with children. The location is remote, the hotel has few public facilities, and there is no playroom for children. If it rains, basically you can only stay in your own house. The room maintenance is average and the style is ok. Location is very far out. i do like the hotel style, but there are not much to do in the hotel. not really much service for kids. staff are friendly.

We had a perfect stay at Waka Gangga Resort & Villas and enjoyed our stay a lot! Very nice and friendly staff, great service and delicious food! The restaurant has a wonderful view over the beach, the Garden Villa with the pool was just perfect and we enjoyed a lot of privacy! Long nice beach, not really to swim due to the big waves, but perfect for nice walking! We can certainly recommend this place if you need to relax, get privacy and quitness!

We love everything about this place , the hotel , the staff , the restaurant , the location … every single detail was perfect , from the first warm welcome email followed by Putu waiting for us at the airport , all the way to the complementary late check out

Our family vacation at Waka Gangga Resort was absolutely unforgettable. Nestled amidst Bali's iconic rice terraces and black sand beach, this luxurious retreat offered the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The ocean-view bungalow with two separate bedrooms was perfect for our family of four. We spent hours enjoying the private plunge pool and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The fresh ocean breeze and breathtaking sunsets made every moment magical. We also indulged in wellness activities like yoga on the beach and rejuvenating spa treatments. The chef's approach to customizing meals was exceptional, tailoring each dish to our preferences with meticulous attention to detail. The staff's exceptional service made our stay even more special. Waka Gangga is a hidden gem and the ideal destination for a family getaway. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed (couple) at WakaGangga for 9 nights, it was a wonderful experience. The resort is very well maintained and feels like you are alone in your own private retreat. The gardens are beautiful and great to wander around in prior to dinner. The rooms are extremely spacious, I would recommend a private pool villa though, as the public/main pool is quite busy and not large. The staff are wonderful and seemed genuinely interested in us having the best vacation we could. The restaurant is great and very good value. There were just about enough food options for a 9 night stay. The hotel is very remote, it's almost an hour to Canggu in traffic, but that's part of it's charm. We loved it and will stay again!

Lovely villa, wonderful staff and amazing breakfasts.. The hotel is right on a lovely beach that is bustling with local families on weekends - we really enjoyed seeing this side of Bali. The beach has amazing sunset views and is perfect for a jog or stroll any time of day.

Great hotel with very professional, friendly and helpfull staff. The villa with pool and garden is providing perfect comfort with privacy. Everything was perfect. It is a bit far away from the city centers like canggu but a free shuttle is avaliable to canggu and tenoh lat which is great. Highly recommended!

We liked the location near a beach but not exactly in a tourist area. Mostly surrounded by locals and their kites, or fishermen. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was surrounded by a walled garden, There was a large tub as well as an indoor and outdoor shower. There also was a sheltered outdoor sitting area. Amenities included a minibar, with plenty of space for water bottles. We ate a number of meals at the restaurant. We received complimentary breakfast, probably related to our length of stay. The breakfast was generally speaking good, but the fruit plates mostly had unripe fruit, which was a disappointment. There was complementary tea in the PM. Dinner food was generally good. The green curry was a disappointment, but the satay was good. My wife also liked the duck. Pool was good for lap swimming and gym was small but everything worked. A number of free activities were provided, including a free 15' neck and shoulder massage which surpased our expectations, free shuttle, in particular to Canggu and the Tanah Lot temple, and free bicycles. Bicyles were functional, but riding on the busy roads not that pleasant. Canggu is a tourist area, and very crowded. Not too pleasant, but it was useful for sorting out some visa issues, and had good restaurants and spas. Also very pleasant to walk along the mostly empty beach, only marred bu litter in places. Surpringly, there were very few mosquitos.

This is supposed to be our little secret but it would be not right to forego a review, our place of relaxation, our sanctuary and place to wind down before the fast pace of the other tourist areas of Bali, there is simply not a lot to do here except relax, the beach is quiet apart from fishermen and a few surfers, the staff and service is impeccable, food is delicious, bed is comfortable and the spa is very well priced and great service. Thank you for our Dragonfruit mojitos, best in Bali. We look forward to returning again and again.
