The Alena Hotel was incredible from start to finish. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for my partner and I. We’d absolutely come back in a heart beat! Please read this review and be assured it was nothing short of magical.

Our stay here was beyond our expectations. First, it is great value for money. I’m not sure how ratings are done, but this more than a 4 star hotel. Cleanliness was spot on. Breakfast was amazing - ala carte but much better than many buffets as you can order meaningful entrees. Ordered their Alena Omelette and Mei Goreng on a daily basis. Location might not be ideal for the solo travelers on foot. But if you got a car, like we had a private charter, it doesn’t really matter if your destination is 2km away or 10km. And of course great experience at the pool. Nicely covered with greenery. Will come again.

The location is remote, around 20 mins from Ubud centre, around 80k idr to 100k idr by Grab or taxi and only few shuttle a day. Cleanliness has to be improved. Found filth and blood on bed sheet but not on the centre, we didn't end up telling the hotel. There are two swimming pool, both look lovely. The service was fantastic. They also provide walking tour and yoga session. Overall it is a very good hotel. If you are spending time with a group of people or with your love, I would definitely recommend it.

The location was tricky to find and some distance from Ubud town hence the shuttle service, which is necessary if you don’t have own transport. The upside is it’s peaceful. No external views of rice fields but tree views are nice as are the internal spaces. Bed very comfortable, food excellent and staff lovely. The complimentary massage hard to use - I booked a 1 hr massage & asked to add the 15 mins comp massage to that but it didn’t happen. My partner was not able to use his as no time slot available. There was a timing issue for our dinner delivery. Mine did take longer to cook but we had specifically asked for our dishes to come at same time so we would eat together as we’d had this precise issue elsewhere. They didn’t. My partner was being polite to wait for mine which meant his dinner was cold by the time mine arrived. May sound like a trivial issue but isn’t the point that a couple dining together literally means that?! Overall a pleasant stay.

I can't even find words for how amazed I was with everything. But the best of the best was the food. It was like a delicious superb gastronomic experience. Thank you so much!!! This place is absolutely outstanding

A tropical paradise! The room was GIGANTIC, lovely view, lovely pool, perfect for a laid-back leisure time. Just keep in mind that the room gets very dim at night. I think the dim lighting is very suitable for couples, but not so much for me :D still, very beautiful!

The room was clean. Facing the swimming pool, it is quiet. There is a shuttle bus to Ubud, but the shuttle bus is limited, so you need to arrange the time reasonably. Breakfast is a la carte and tastes good. We were satisfied with our stay.

The overall experience of staying at Alena Resort is good, but there are a few aspects that make me feel less good: The resort is about 5 kilometers away from the center of Ubud. Access basically relies on shuttle buses, self-driving or app-hailing. Shuttle buses go back and forth 4 times a day. If you miss the next trip, you have to wait for 3 hours for the next one, which is inconvenient. During the 3-day stay, the room was carelessly picked up on one of the days. Some belongings were even put aside randomly, and the smell was smelled every day. The pillows had an odor/sweat smell; the Wi-Fi reception in the room I stayed in was poor and there were several locations where Wi-Fi could not be received. In addition to the poor experience mentioned above, the service attitude of the staff and the quality of the food in the restaurant are both good!

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but this place in Ubud is not the same as staying in the palace area. The hotel as a whole is very bourgeois, and the overall design is quite exquisite. If you can book a basic room type for 5-800, then it is definitely the king in this price range. The villa we booked because we had no room had average value for money, and there were several spiders on the top of the mosquito net. In Ubud, when I stayed in the Four Seasons, ants and mosquitoes appeared in the room. I just couldn't see them. The staff's service is very good, and the hotel's breakfast is delicious. Note that the hotel's spa is a pitfall. There are many good spa shops in Ubud, so you can book in advance.

THE HOTEL IS LOCATED FAR FROM UBUD CENTER, BUT THE FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES ARE VERY GOOD.

It's amazing. The tranquility hidden in the valley makes you feel very relaxed.
