Villa Kubu Seminyak

We stayed in villa 2. It was much bigger than we expected. While the villa could do with a bit of TLC, we found it very comfortable with an old Bali charm.This was a Luxury Escapes deal and everything went like clockwork. The location is very good with a small walk to the main shopping area and the biggest shop, Bintang, that I have ever seen. There is a small cafe on location where you can organize meals to be brought to your villa, we enjoyed what we had. the staff were exceptional, especially the cafe staff and reception. we had a wonderful restful stay and look forward to returning.

We stayed in Villa 9. Definitely not a 5-star Villa. The pool and gardens are beautiful but the Villa looks old and tired. No TV in the lounge room, only a very small, old TV available in the bedroom and the TV reception is terrible. The food is very average.

Loved our stay at villa 11 would definitely stay again. Bathroom with the fish pond and waterfall was amazing. My husband loves fish so loved feeding them everyday. Close to a large supermarket and lots of restaurants close by.

We stayed in villa 1, a little old style villa. It was very cute. The pool and gardens were beautiful. The little bonus was our koi pond and fish. There was fish food left in the villa to feed them. Our villa had outdoor bathrooms, which had seen better times, but as they are outdoors they are exposed to the elements which is understandable. Overall we had a lovely stay at Villa Kubu

The whole complex is very run down. Definitely not 5 star - possibly a 3 star? It is obvious that no maintenance has been done since Covid. Mouldy curtains, broken decking and tiles around the pool and poor quality towels and linen. To be fair the villa was actually quite clean but the stench in the wardrobe and kitchen cupboards was overwhelming. Has the potential of being great but in dire need of an upgrade.

I have just left this villa , I booked through luxury escapes for a luxury holiday We got there stayed 2 nights in villa 6 then they moved us to villa 999. One bedroom had two sinks one with no taps one with no plug. There were stain on the bath, on the counter tops and the bedside tables were coming away from the wall. The mosquito nets were black with mould. Whilst we appreciate that the villa was of rustic design this does not mean it is acceptable for fittings to be missing, dirty or not functioning. What a disappointment complained straight away to luxury escapes who got I touch with management they said would try to fix things they put in a new tap which leaked since it was fitted had work people in and out could not stop leak last night had to put 6 big towels down in bathroom so that we did not slip over, I asked for refund which they did not give. They did not seem to understand that the villa was below standard They did however offer a free massage or a lunch or dinner We accepted the massage, as by then the chances of an acceptable solution seemed beyond them. Sorry simply does not cut it when you enter a ‘luxury’ villa missing taps. They simply said they are old and couldn’t find the matching unit. We then had three days or ‘engineers’ attempting to install and fix the taps. And nights of putting towels to mop up the water from the failed attempts. Again on check out we were told ‘sorry’ The whole place needs an upgrade , happy to take money but not spend on clear overdue upgrades and maintenance
