The location of the hotel is impeccable, the scenery is beautiful, and there are monkeys passing by hahaha. Breakfast is a la carte, not buffet style, and the road in front of the hotel is not good. The room lighting is a bit dim, but overall it is good

The hotel is in Uluwatu, the scenery is beautiful, the breakfast is very rich, recommended! The hotel is clean and tidy, the hotel staff are very enthusiastic, and there are many restaurants and bars walking out of the small road.

The hotel environment is great. There are many beautiful places nearby. The service staff is very friendly. I will stay here again next time I come to Uluwatu.

The room is very clean and the service is friendly. The hotel is right on the edge of the cliff. The sea view is very beautiful. Except for us, who are oriental in appearance, the others are all foreigners. We lie by the swimming pool and bask in the sun every day, listening to the sound of the waves. Life is very comfortable and can be enjoyed Watch the sunset.

First part of our honeymoon my new husband and I stayed at the Uluwatu Cottages. The views are breathtaking looking over the cliff to the sea. The breakfast was very tasty & staff were so friendly. I have to mention Denada and Desi. I fell over and grazed my knee badly, they both couldn’t help me more to make sure I was cleaned up and ok. These 2 ladies really made the stay worthwhile. However the hotel gets a 4 star because: 1. The pool is in desperate need of refurb. So many broken tiles I almost cut my foot. 2. There are extra charges for so much. Extra charge to pay on card which I don’t think is fair. Also my grazed knee bled while I was asleep which stained the sheets. I had to pay for 150,000IDR because of this. 3. Limited breakfast menu, more selection would be good 4. Very close to ulu cliff house so can be very noisy til early hours Overall for the price of stay and service received, it was matched.

We had a great time staying at the lovely Uluwatu Cottages for 4 nights. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, great and cheap massages, comfy clean and spacious rooms, lovely breakfast (and accommodated for a fussy vegetarian). They also provide free bottles of water each morning. We read previous comments re roadworks and ulu cliffhouse next door - this wasn’t a problem for us as we sleep with earplugs and didn’t hear a thing. The pool was lovely and views of the sea were to die for. The only thing I would say is that the pool can dye your swimwear orange slightly so wear an old set. Overall would definitely recommend and would love to visit again. Thank you!

We had such an incredible stay at Uluwatu Cottages! The rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts amazing, the staff are so graceful, and the location is epic - on the ocean but walking distance to shops and restaurants. Can highly recommend this place to stay in Uluwatu.

Not a wink of sleep, the music from Ulu Cliffhouse next door is out of control the whole cottage shakes with the base and sleep is not an option. Completely unacceptable. Towels are that old it rips while using. Avoid for your own sanity

I stayed for 3 nights on my own. Staff are fantastic, they cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was deliscious, diners great, all reasonably priced as were the drinks. Views are sensational, location very handy to istana day spa an Day clubs.

Very nice environment and rooms, i would have loved to give a 5 star review. however the hotels policy of charging you for every little thing was very annoying. a good example of it: we booked the room with breakfast, however the vegan breakfast was super small and contained only like 5 leaves of spinach and 3 spoons of quinoa. i asked for more quinoa and they said that they will charge me extra for this (so even tough you pay for breakfast they refuse to give you a good portion). a second coffee also costs extra and they also charge you for drinking water. and they charge for paying by card.

Very good overall… - Location is quite good overall - Beware of Ulu Cliffhouse as it’s parties may disturb at night - Breakfast and restaurant are very good! - Views are astonishing, 10/10 - Rooms are ok, baths (vanity) could be better - Price/quality ratio is very good overall Would recommend and stay here again!

Hotel with great comfortable rooms and polite staff. Very clean and beautiful view. But I find it unacceptable hotel so expensive, compared to others in the locality, serving such a limited breakfast. They charge for repeating an extra fruit juice or bread. I like to have a hearty breakfast and I have to pay extra for it.
Response from Property: Hello. Thank you for your time in writing this review. Is Uluwatu Cottage so expensive? We do not think so as many of our neighbors put the rate higher than us. The rate for this month between IDR 1mill - 1.6mill may be reasonable in this area. We served a la carte unique breakfast and many of our clients have confirmed that our breakfast is incredible, extra small amount for an extra person who joins you for a superb breakfast is not a big deal for some people. Have a good day Sir/Mam.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms looking out at the water. Recommend getting breakfast included, the choice was amazing and absolutely delicious. Happy hour started from 4pm each day, watching the sunset from the poolside bungalows. Short walk to beach clubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

So many positives. The grounds, pool, view, rooms, bathrooms, restaurants, staff, all above and beyond expectations. It’s easy to while away a day by the pool, eating from a vast menu. Watching the sunset over the sea, from your sun lounge, enjoying happy hours.
