I hadn't been to the PDB since 2020 (cause Covid), great was our disappointment, the PDB makes us feel like a hotel in the process of collapsing, in the total disinterest of its management. We have been coming there regularly for about fifteen years, sometimes twice a year, and I am extremely disappointed to consider never coming back, despite the undeniable charm of the typical Balinese buildings. Disliked · Here is a summary of our criticisms. No more "Welcome drink" No more tourist office Restaurant limited to breakfast and lunch (3 courses possible, Nasi, Noodle, and French fries (often not available) Room service stops at 3 p.m. No more "Tea time" We pick up ourselves the fallen leaves in the swimming pool at night The villas leave a lot to be desired - a good freshening up of paint and thorough cleaning of the taps (limescale) would not be luxury, - very slippery floor in the bathroom, a rug would not be not too much - outdated television, badly adjusted, studded with blue streaks - I'm not sure that the mosquito net has seen the washing since it was installed - curtain under the air conditioning studded with stains - a real lack of staff which is felt everywhere - torn armchair cushions - frayed towels with holes - you have to rush in the morning to get a bath towel (6 available maximum) - limited breakfast compared to the past before Covid -3 very tired for 8 deckchairs of which only 6 have mattresses, unstitched mattresses, or zipper out of order
