Royal Retreat Villa's Lembongan Reviews

We really enjoyed staying at Royal Retreat Villas. I really appreciated all the small touches the staff made to make our stay more special, like the lighting of the mosquito coil at night so we could enjoy our patio without being bitten. We enjoyed the lovely garden and the quietness of the property. We found the rooms incredibly well maintained. We appreciated the kindness of the staff, how they made an effort for our breakfast.

I was worried because the path from the front desk to the room was full of centipedes. Everyone walked without paying any attention to them, so many centipedes were stepped on, which was scary. There were also a lot of bugs in the villa, and I woke up three times in the middle of the night to get rid of mosquitoes. The shower room and toilet were one step lower, so it felt like it was half outside and it was humid. I was bothered by the unique smell. The breakfast was very delicious, with a homemade omelet and pineapple juice.

We booked this hotel, quite far from the port of arrival and after paying for a taxi to get there we were told that there was a computer problem and that there was no more room for us…. ! Fortunately they were able to find another solution to accommodate us in another hotel but where we were completely alone, the hotel was less good and without really any excuses. I don't recommend.

It belongs to a small personal homestay, but it is very clean, and the service is very good and responsive. It is 900 meters away from ** tears. It is not very convenient to eat and drink around. It is 2.9 kilometers away from Xiaohuang Bridge. The island takes 50,000 taxis per person, but Lembongan Island is very small

The hotel is on the mountain of Lembongan Island, very close to the Cliff Hotel. The transportation is definitely inconvenient. You need to rent a motorcycle and you can't see the sea, but the swimming pool is very clean.

I really like the cabin environment!

We stayed here for a week with a large family group with many small kids. We booked out the whole place and had it to ourselves which worked really well as a group. Beautiful gardens, great pool and nice rooms. Breakfast is simple but plenty of options nearby for other meals (three a short walk and they will deliver it back if you go and order). Not on the beach but there are beaches walking distance. Staff very accommodating, we even hosted a 5 year old birthday party there during our stay and the staff surprised us with a cake for him!

A really nice joint, not luxury, but really good, clean and comfortable accommodation, Clean pool, lovely staff, the staff are very good and will organize anything you want. The only let down was breakfast, it is really no choice, Eggs and toast with Coffee, tea and Juice, but you only get 1 choice for a drink, you cannot have a juice and a coffee.. Also no fresh fruit, no Nasi or Noodles .. Just eggs anyway you like, and toast. Nothing else. that's a shame because it really is a nice joint ..

This is our second time staying. We love the location and quietness of the villa. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. The pool is big! Only 8-9 villas so very private and not busy like some of the bigger accomodation choices. Breakfast daily was basic but very tasty. Thank you again for your hospitality

Decent place, if you are a fan of hearty breakfasts, plan to go outside to have one. However, as soon as you check in, you are asked if you want to go snorkeling. We booked a 4 hour outing for 390,000 rupees per person (another couple from the hotel were on this excursion). In fact we only spent 2 hours and when we checked out, the price was the same. They agreed to drop to 600,000 for 2. Which makes with the other couple an expensive outing overall compared to other sites.

Positive points - Warm welcome - located 1 min walk from 3 restaurants and 5 mins by scooter from bars - Scooter rental on site - Possibility of taking a boat trip to swim with manta rays + snorkeling at 2 spots. It is the manager who takes you there and we have a great time with him. We did it and had the chance to swim with manta rays. Negative points - wooden cottage, so no soundproofing outside and between the cottages Top value for money Our only regret: not having spent an extra night there. It takes more time because of the trip by boat.

The bungalows are magnificent and very comfortable as well as the swimming pool. Breakfast OK but you have the choice between tea or fruit juice. If you want both, it's extra... Snorkelling outing very good with Ketut. However when I booked I was told 925,000Rp for a private boat for my family and I was charged 1,510,000Rp!!!! Supposedly the price indicated was for 2….. If you rent a scooter take a photo of it when we give it to you! They are in bad condition but they tried to blame my children for a scratch and a cracked mirror that the scooter had at the start. Afterwards they neither check in nor check out….. Too bad
