With smallish rooms in big city hotels the order of the day, it was great having plenty of room to unwind on comfortable furniture. The location in the Inner Harbor East is ideal for all things Baltimore. The parking garage is next door with an elevator to the hotel lobby. The breakfast is not of the highest quality but comparable to other hotels at this level. All things considered, I was satisfied with my stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 night stay at Hotel Indigo. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was well appointed with nice furnishings and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room had 2 large windows with a city view. Housekeeping came daily and provided excellent service. The public areas/lobby were nice and clean too. The lobby has a large area with abundant seating, a large fireplace and tv. My only suggestion would be to update the tv to a smart tv for access to Netflix and other apps.

True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. I have stayed at this hotel on and off for the past few months . every time I come here . The front desk manager Norma always goes above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Thursdays and Sunday every time I see her she's working very hard to make sure everyone as satisfied as possible with their room and everything that involves their stay here. George who also has a great attitude and will go to whatever length escape to fix whatever issue or problem may come up these two workers I look forward to seeing every time I come to stay I hope that their hard work can be rewarded thank you very much sincerely Jessica fi

Stayed at hotel in town for wedding of family friend. I was very impressed with this location. some pros and cons: Pros: lovely clean hotel friendly staff rooms spacious and cleaned daily-both refrigerator and microwave present large very comfortable king sized bed large work mobile station large walk-in shower stall- which included safety grab bar- branded toiletries -provided Dove-- Outside provided lovely seating area for one to enjoy meals or simple relax and of course having a complimentary breakfast provided was nice location was convenient to some nice restaurants Cons: no in room safe no exhaust fan/vent in bathroom rooms indicated as non-smoking however for first two night the heavy smell of ********* was present in hallway--management unable to address

Quite good, staying at one o'clock in the morning, the bed is a big decoration and a little modern. The downside is that the breakfast at the restaurant was very poor. I walked two blocks to eat breakfast. Suitable for temporary stay for one night

This is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in, period. The whole hotel smelled of skunk and marihuana. The Ice machine room smelled of urine as if it was used very often. The front desk attendants were watching television in the breakfast area instead of monitoring who was coming into the hotel. There was a man who appeared to be homeless walking through the hotel lobby, then up the elevators and back down to the lobby. He wore the same clothes on Friday night and Saturday morning. The morning attendant on 2/19 was sleeping in the office. I had to bang on the office door several times to wake him up. When I asked for more towels I was given pool towels which were small and worn out. When I asked for more pillows I was told they only had one left but the hotel wasn't sold out. There was mold on the ceiling in hallway, our room, the bathroom. The toilet kept getting stuffed up, we were afraid it would over flow every time. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk he said OK, didn't even fain an interest in fixing the problem. I want my money refunded immediately. We felt unsafe, we were in deplorable conditions that smelled horrible. The entire hotel, I mean entire hotel needs a tear down and rebuild it is that bad. The beds were like twin beds not fit for two adults to sleep in.

Very clean! Which was one of our main wants but it is also up to date & has nice furniture, mattress, tv & ect. Instead of little sample shampoo, conditioner, & body wash they have nice pumps of dove installed in the showers. The house keepers our very kind and will be a helping hand with anything they can. The front desk employees are just the best! They will help you, try to meet needs if anyway is possible & always a pleasure to pass by. Our kids loved the indoor pool, & comfy bed with a big flat screen. I will only use the hotel in Baltimore!

It's beautiful, clean and modern, but not one you'll want to stay at if you have an early morning flight. We didn't know the shuttle didn't start until 7 am (odd) or we would've booked another hotel. When you have other travelers complaining about this, you may want to reconsider your hours. PRO'S: I will say the lobby and room were beautiful modern eye candy. It was clean, the bathroom luxurious, the bed like a dreamy pillow and the staff courteous. We only spent about 6 hours there, so not enough time to try the food, breakfast or the gym- which looked upscale with many machines and weights. CON'S: As others have mentioned, the halls can be NOISY. We should've known something was up when we had to sign a disclaimer upon check in that we wouldn't have a party in the room. A first! Having said that, the walls/door seem to be a bit thin. The drunken people heading to their rooms at 2 am sounded like they were in our room as they passed. A total bummer when you have to leave for the airport via Lyft ($30) at 4:15 am . Here's a thought: Maybe one hallway on the top floor could be reserved for airport travelers or those requesting quiet rooms (since you're an airport hotel?). That way you can ensure your patrons a good night's sleep. Fellow WHITE NOISE LOVERS? For those that depend on a hotel's thermostat to have a constantly running fan option, this does not. Again odd, as we rarely run into this with hotels. The fan will turn off when the temp is reached, leaving you susceptible to any hallway noise. It would be great if you had a few portable fans available or even one tucked in each room like you do hairdryers. Also, if you're a hot sleeper in July's heat you cannot adjust the AC to any lower than 64 degrees. Will we stay there again? Perhaps if we don't need an early shuttle and ask for a quiet room. I hope the management will consider these comments, because this hotel could be amazing if it addressed a few areas.
