The Wood Vibes

We were booked for one night in the wood vibes hotel. When we reached we were shown a small dingy and damp room which the hotel manager himself said was not upto the mark and asked us to shift to another one of their properties named sukoon. This property and room was better but the location was away from the city centre and it had no room service or food or electricity during evening hours which led to even more inconvenience. Even the complimentary breakfast we had booked as a part of our stay we couldn't avail as the replacement property did not have a kitchen. Please beware and do a thorough check before booking the wood vibes hotel.

For the location of the valley, this is a pretty decent hotel. We had a room on the ground floor, so no views as such but if you are in the common area outside, the habba khatoon mountain is clearly visible. Food was really tasty, takes little longer to come but worth the wait. When we went there, the wifi was not working, so can’t comment on that. Staff was courteous. They provide accommodation to drivers which is a plus.

Wood Vibes at Gurez is best place to stay at Gurez Valley. From Srinagar via Razdhan pass we reached hotel. Rooms at First floor has good view but there is no view from ground floor rooms. Rooms are not very specious. Power cut is very frequent and most of the time limited electricity provided through generator. We visited in May and it was very cold Minus 6°. Heater not available but electric blankets are available. Room needs upkeep but being extreme remote location availability of electrician, plumber etc. difficult. Staff is very good, cooperative with quick response. Excellent and delicious dinner breakfast and tea. Due to heavy snow fall Roads were blocked and stay was extended of many tourists. Hotel staff managed all uncertainties very well.

We had a nice stay here.View from our room was simply fantastic.Food was very good,and prepared fresh as per our need.The staff was very polite,honest,and ready to serve always.They helped us in shopping too. Electricity is a problem in Gurez,so night was a bit uncomfortable for us. Location:10/10 Food:10/10 Hospitality:10/10 Cleanliness: 9/10

Despite the constraints of limited power supply in the region and the fact that we did not have a postpaid Jio or BSNL connection, the only operators, our stay at Wood Vibes was made comfortable and convenient by the hospitable staff. Abid Mullick provided his personal hotspot and his team customised the menu to suit individual guests. We appreciate how difficult it must be to run smooth operations considering the challenges of the location.

i had a great time in gurrez that too in wood vibes resorts. the mountain view from the rooms was amazing. the hotel staffs are very humble and cooperative. as it was in the interior of kashmir we did not had mobile signals. Mr Abid Hussain Mallick the manager gave his personal hotspot during our stay. they al go beyond their duty to help the guests. i highly recomend wood vibes. hope to visit the place again.

Stayed at The Wood Vibes for 4 nights. We were 4 of us, 2 couples of 60+ from Navi Mumbai. The stay was very comfortable. The best part of our stay was the family like atmosphere at the hotel. Mr. Waseem and his brother, Ishtaq, are the owners of the property who were available from morning till late evening. They were were very responsive to our every need. The food at The Wood Vibes is THE BEST in entire Gurez. They made specially made food as per our needs. Their chef, Shaukat, provided the good best food to us during our 15 days trip to interior of Kashmir. They also provided us with their Jio My-Fi during our stay. The Chef, Shaukat, gave us his personal Joo SIM card for our entire trip as the post paid Airtel had not network in Gurez. The owners go beyond their call of duty to help the guests. I highly recommend THE WOOD VIBES for stay in Gurez if you are looking for personalised and homely service and tasty veg and non veg food.
