I really want to write a thorough and positive review. Upon arrival, I was immediately touched by their welcome amenities. The welcome tea was served with Minnan-style Juhong Cake and seasonal lychee cold brew tea, which was delicious, very authentic, and instantly put me in a holiday mood. The hotel's overall environment is beautiful. Considering its price and facilities, I think it offers excellent value for money. The entire space is quiet, relaxing, and not crowded, perfect for unwinding on a weekend. What I want to praise most this time is the hotel's service. Every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic, professional, and genuinely cared about the guests. Especially my butler, Sisi, and front desk staff, Lina. During meals at the hotel, if we were not satisfied with a dish, they would proactively offer to replace it, or even directly cancel the order without any excuses, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. During our stay, we experienced the hotel's rich activity offerings, including workshops on tea ceremonies, cocktail making, yoga, and more. This time, I participated in a yoga class and a cocktail workshop, and both experiences were excellent. Additionally, I enjoyed the complimentary wet sauna and used the swimming pool. The pool is truly beautiful, and with Xiamen's great weather these past few days – blue skies, green trees, and sparkling water – it was easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The room was also very comfortable, and the bedding was exceptionally good for sleeping. Since three of us girls were traveling together and wanted to stay in the same room, the staff thoughtfully added a sofa bed, making our stay even more convenient. I really liked the room's balcony, which directly overlooks Wuyuan Bay Yacht Harbor. On a clear day, looking at the sea, yachts, and blue sky, it truly feels like 'you're in Xiamen, yet you feel like you're in an overseas resort hotel.' Room service was also very meticulous. The room was tidied impeccably every day, and the turndown service was very ceremonial. The collaboration details between the hotel and Lululemon surprised me; not only were there well-designed, thoughtful reminder cards, but also a sleep-inducing fragrance spray. A little spray before bed slowly helps you relax. My biggest impression from these past few days at Qishang is that it is a resort hotel that truly allows you to slow down. Although still in Xiamen, it feels like you've left the city and entered your own holiday rhythm. Thank you to all the staff for your care over these past few days; every detail showed thoughtfulness. This was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it. Next time I come to Xiamen, I will definitely return.

Lan Hua Li Courtyard Hotel - Xiamen University & Nan Pu Tuo Temple

9.7/10
Excellent

The hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

This B&B is absolutely beautiful! It's very close to the sea, and the rooms are wonderfully quiet – you can't hear any outside noise. The view from the window, with trees and the ocean, is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The reception service was exceptionally nice; even before I stepped onto the B&B's doorstep, a staff member rushed out to help us with our luggage. Every single staff member (including the auntie who cleaned the rooms!) was soft-spoken and very gentle. The breakfast was also delicious! I booked for three nights, and every morning I woke up to a different breakfast spread. You can tell this B&B genuinely takes pride in itself and truly cares about every guest who stays here! Highly recommend!!

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

My stay at Conrad Xiamen was excellent overall. The hotel's location is superb, and the high-floor sea views are incredibly therapeutic. I especially want to commend the front office team. Check-in was efficient and smooth, and the staff were patient and meticulous, promptly answering any questions I had. They also introduced me to the Conrad 1/3/5 experience, recommending local itineraries based on my free time, which was very thoughtful. The room had great views, and getting around was convenient. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Xiamen.

This hotel is closest to Piano Wharf and not far from Sanqiutian Wharf. It's very close to the shore, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. On the way, you'll pass the Gulangyu Museum. My room was on the first floor and was well-decorated and very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

This was my first stay at the Pan Pacific Xiamen, and I was really impressed. The staff were all incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. A special thanks goes to Manager Zeng at the front desk, who assigned a room that perfectly suited my preferences, making my stay smooth and comfortable. The hotel's location is also fantastic – right next to a subway entrance and bus stops, with everything you could need nearby. It's also very close to Dongdu Wharf and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which was incredibly convenient.

Le Méridien Xiamen

9.2/10

I had high expectations for Le Méridien Xiamen, a high-end Marriott property, especially after booking the One-Bedroom Villa Suite 1101. However, my experience was deeply disappointing. First, there were hygiene issues. On the first night, I found a bug while dining in the restaurant. Later, I discovered a dead insect in the downstairs bathroom of my room. When I called housekeeping, I also realized the doorbell was broken. For a high-end hotel, this level of hygiene and facility maintenance is simply unacceptable. The most egregious issue was the guest room security. Due to the broken doorbell, the hotel said they would arrange for repairs. I understood that equipment needed fixing and was willing to cooperate. However, the next day at noon, while I was taking a nap in my room, I suddenly heard noises outside. When I opened the door, a male maintenance worker had already entered the room area and set up a ladder near the stairs, ready to start repairs. Throughout this entire process, I received no phone call, no text message, no email, and absolutely no form of consent was requested. Both I and my companion are female, and we were genuinely shocked and felt extremely unsafe. We had to demand that he leave immediately. To this day, I wonder: Does the hotel allow non-emergency maintenance staff to enter an occupied room without the guest's knowledge? How does such a procedure ensure guest privacy and safety? Beyond that, the front desk service was also disappointing. One evening, I wanted to inquire about a specific dish I had ordered via in-room dining for lunch, just to know which restaurant it came from. The front desk repeatedly insisted I show the order receipt and made no effort to help me look it up. As we tried to find the consumption record, the staff even walked away directly, leaving us stranded at the front desk, showing a complete lack of service awareness. Later, at the Chinese restaurant, I first tried to order baby lobsters, but was told they were unavailable. I switched to green crab, waited a while, and was told that was also unavailable. I then changed to mud crab, and again, it wasn't available. This happened three times in a row, with each unavailability communicated only after a long wait. In the end, I had to settle for yellow croaker. The food tasted good, but the overall dining experience was very poor. After dinner, I went to the executive lounge. There was almost no proactive service, and the staff were chatting loudly, completely undermining the quiet and professional atmosphere one expects from an executive lounge. My impression from this stay is not that just one aspect was flawed, but that there were significant shortcomings across hygiene management, room maintenance, security management, front desk service, F&B operations, and executive lounge service. Specifically, the incident where a male maintenance worker was arranged to enter an occupied room without guest consent is what I found most unacceptable. Equipment can break down, but a hotel should never disregard a guest's fundamental right to privacy, security, and information. I hope the hotel thoroughly investigates this matter and provides a formal explanation. I also hope other guests, especially female guests, are aware of this.

The Xiamen Pullman Shimao Hotel is quite good. The entire hotel is massive, and upon arrival, it feels like stepping into a French chateau. The hotel is divided into three areas: Xihai, Ruihai, and Yihai Town. This time, I stayed in Xihai. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive, with a magnificent dome. The staff were also good; they helped carry my luggage to the lobby as soon as I got out of the car. The front desk staff were efficient, and check-in was quick. In particular, a lady with glasses in the lobby provided excellent service; she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. She was probably a supervisor, though I didn't catch her name. The hotel room was spacious; as soon as I opened the door, the curtains automatically drew back, revealing a view of the ocean. The room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was also large, with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub. The two sinks were particularly convenient. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel is close to the sea, just a few minutes' walk to Rainbow Beach. The hotel offers both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool to choose from. You can enjoy the beach or swim in the hotel's pools. There are also several children's play areas. Every corner of the hotel feels incredibly picturesque, especially Yihai Town, where every short walk reveals a new theme. It's fantastic for families with children and for ladies who love taking photos. The entire hotel is genuinely huge; I feel like I haven't even explored it all. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and next time I'll try Ruihai for a different experience. There was one minor issue: the hairdryer plug in the bathroom kept falling out and didn't stay securely. That needs to be addressed. Overall, the hotel is still very good. The Pullman is a hotel I would happily return to.
