Malang City Hotels with Bars

It’s a very nice hotel spacious enough , I get an up grade from Mountain View room into bathtub room. Breakfast is complete and variously… And there is a restaurant just across the hotel

We stayed at Grand Mercure Malang Mirama for our honeymoon for 3 nights and 4 days, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. My wife absolutely loved everything about this hotel, and so did I. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed by Wike from the front office, and she truly made our stay extra special. She was always smiling, respectful, kind, and very helpful throughout our stay. She even offered us free activities and vouchers, which was such a nice touch. The biggest surprise was that we got upgraded to the Executive Suite, the highest room category in the hotel. Huge thanks to Wike for making our honeymoon unforgettable! The room itself was unbelievable. Beautiful views, a huge living room, separate bedroom, and an amazing bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the view. Everything felt luxurious and very comfortable. Since it was our honeymoon, the room was also beautifully decorated and we were welcomed with a fruit basket, which made us feel really special. Breakfast was another highlight. The variety was insane so many options that we honestly didn’t know what to choose. Everything we tried was delicious. One thing that really stood out was the staff. I’ve traveled quite a lot, but the service here felt different. Every single staff member we met smiled, greeted us warmly, checked if everything was okay, and helped immediately whenever needed. You can really feel the genuine hospitality here. We also received a complimentary photoshoot from the hotel, which was such a lovely experience. The photographer was great, and we even got a printed photo in a frame to take home as a memory. The only disappointing part during our stay was the Teppanyaki experience at the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations at all. The chef only cooked in front of us without any interaction or entertainment, and when I tried making conversation, she seemed annoyed. Considering how expensive it was, it honestly felt very underwhelming. I personally wouldn’t recommend the Teppanyaki experience there. Other than that, everything was truly amazing. Even though I don’t remember everyone’s names, thank you to every single staff member who made our honeymoon so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back again. Got the room at the new building, the room is clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable and huge. The service also excellent, the breakfast are various, and the staff are very attentive and quick to refill the breakfast menu items, so they are never empty.

The bathroom is a bit less clean, there is no water heater or it doesn't work, it's a bit dusty on the window glass and curtains, and there are some belongings of previous guests left in the cupboard locker, the room is not soundproof, the sound from outside is very loud, it's a bit disturbing, the elevator often queues together with the cafe staff in the rooftop area or maybe there is an event there at the same time so access is busy. Moreover, some of the accommodation staff and cafe staff on the rooftop floor often go back and forth in the elevator area. But overall it's quite comfortable, complete facilities, and easy access to the location, near the mall area.

The hotel itself is in the city centre and within a mall which is convenient but it can get very crowded (and jammed) on weekends. The staff are polite and understanding. We had to pay 100k IDR deposit for our rooms but since we were carrying sleeping kids, they let us check into the rooms first. Room is clean but old and basic. The room does not have safe deposit box, unmovable shower head. Basic amenities are dental kit, sanitary bag, shower cap, and lotion. Shampoo and shower gel are 2-in-1 and stuck on the wall. There’s only bath towel (no hand towel). Sound-proofing can be improved since the corridor is not carpeted. Breakfast is free for kids 5 and below. Taste-wise it’s ok. Apart from egg station, salad, waffles and bakery section, the rest are very much Indonesian style.

Ideal for a short stay in the centre of Malang. Easy parking and within walking distance of several nice restaurants. Clean room with aircon and wifi, good value for money. The breakfast included may be chicken with rice, you can make your own tea and coffee at any time.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the receptionist responds quickly, the food is delicious, I will definitely come here again if I go to Malang

The facilities can only be described as ordinary, equivalent to domestic B&Bs. The soundproofing of the room at night is not very good. You can hear people chatting next door in the middle of the night. However, relatively speaking, Malang is just a stopover and you can stay for one night.
