2-Star Hotels in Malang City

I had an excellent stay at this hostel! Gabriel took care of everything for me during three magical days: the first day at the sublime Tumpak Sewu waterfall, the second at the impressive Bromo volcanoes, and the third at the fascinating Kawah Ijen, including the ferry ticket to Bali. She helped and guided me via WhatsApp from start to finish with incredible attention, and I truly felt supported from beginning to end... and even after I left! The service was absolutely top-notch, incredibly friendly and professional. Everything was superbly organized and memorable. I recommend it 1000%! Thank you, Gabriel and your daughters! A lovely spot located down a quiet street. The beds provide good privacy with walls and curtains. The room was a good temprature. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were nice and clean. The staff were wonderful and interacted with each guest very personally while remembering our names and trying to help whereever they could. I do recommend.

- Really nice and friendly hostel with guests from around the world. - The staff are super kind and speak good English. - Plenty of common areas to chill and meet other travelers. Dorms are clean and comfy, with separate rooms for men and women. - Several toilets and shower rooms. -: Easy to book tour programs with good prices - A bit of a walk from the train station, but you can easily grab a motorbike,taxi or Grab. Great vibe overall

The place is very strategic, lots of food around, next to it is also Alfa Mart. Suitable for those of you who are backpackers and don't bring a vehicle. If you bring a private vehicle, the parking is not very suitable because it is narrow, few and hot, even though there is a guard at night. Pretty clean with the competitive prices offered by trip.com. For those of you who bring children, the rooms are quite spacious...so the children have space to play.

Booked a standard room for one night, but they gave me a better room as the ran out of standard ones, so a bit of a plus? Room was clean, bathroom was clean as well so definitely recommend. The only issue I had was that like most tourist I am doing the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall/mt bromo / ijen tour and that means early start but there was a group of Indonesian tourists which were extremely loud from between 20:00 to 02:00 there need to be signs about quiet hours and enforced because it causes a lot of sleep issues for others. So my suggestion keep a pair of earplugs or noise cancelling headphones (what I did) and I could still hear them a bit but eventually fell asleep.

Everything else was pretty good, but for the shampoo and soap, there were dispensers but no actual product inside. Also, maybe the towels could be updated, as they're starting to feel a bit stiff. And please, check the TV regularly for any issues! 😁 Other than that, it was okay. For the price, it was definitely worth it. Thank you, Safa Guesthouse.

Quite clean, the service during check in is very easy and friendly. Strategic location close to the Oro Oro Dowo and Kayoetangan market. If Sunday is near there, there is CFD and bazaar

the hostel is located in the historical center of malang. it has many facilities. the administrative staff is very welcoming. i recommend it to all travelers. taxi is easy to find
