This hotel is in a safe area and doesn't offer all-inclusive. I was out on tours all day, so I really only used it for sleeping. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer had great power, which was a huge plus. They provide two bottles of water daily; additional bottles cost extra, so I'd recommend heading to the supermarket for more. If you're in a hurry, you can get free water at the gym on the 4th floor. Toothbrushes and other similar items aren't provided. The pool is quite shallow, though I didn't actually use it. There's a large supermarket nearby, so I'd advise using that. There's no kitchen, so self-catering isn't an option.

It is a nature-friendly place. While riding a bike around the hotel, I was able to meet various animals such as coatis, lizards, and iguanas. The beach right in front is beautiful, and there are many restaurants that serve delicious food, so I was happy while staying at the hotel.

Staying at this hotel brought mixed impressions. On one hand, the property looks new and visually appealing; on the other, there were several disappointing and controversial moments. The check-in process felt quite strange. My room upgrade request was declined in an inappropriate manner despite my Hilton Honors Gold status. Additionally, no one assisted us in locating our room, and there was no introduction to the hotel facilities- we were simply told to find all information in the app. The room itself was very noisy due to constant traffic from buses and service vehicles outside the windows. A request to change the room was declined, and the receptionist even mentioned that my Gold status meant nothing for this booking. Housekeeping also skipped our room twice, despite the sign on the door requesting service. On the positive side, the food quality was generally good, and the entertainment program was decent, though not outstanding. It was surprising that the bars did not provide a clear drinks menu of what could be ordered. The biggest drawback of the hotel is the beach, which is almost nonexistent. The highlights were the wonderful Kids’ Club staff and the generally friendly hotel personnel, although some bartenders and reception staff were less welcoming. The swimming pool is pleasant, but the hot tubs were disappointing, with noticeably dirty water. Regarding the all-inclusive restaurants, the Italian restaurant was excellent, while the Mexican restaurant was the weakest. Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its modern appearance and some great staff members, but improvements in service consistency, cleanliness, communication, and beach access would significantly enhance the guest experience.

This Intercontinental is really run down, so I can't recommend it based on its facilities. The sound of doors opening and closing next door or across the hall made me think someone was coming into my room. All the amenities are just so old. It's also the peak of the sargassum bloom in Cancun, and the Intercontinental hasn't been spared. Even with daily clean-ups, the beachfront is still unsightly, though the sand itself is still wonderfully fine and soft. Overall, as a non-all-inclusive hotel, I wouldn't particularly recommend it!

Perfectly located on the Cancun Hotel Zone strip, this resort strikes a great balance — close enough to the action if you want it, yet far enough away to truly unwind. The property itself is charming, not overly large, which makes everything easily accessible. The pools are just the right size for activities and socializing, but the real highlight is the stunning beach — that’s where I spent most of my time. Dining options are plentiful with several restaurants to choose from (reservations are required), and the bars offer a wide variety of drinks. The café is also a must-visit. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This isn’t a massive, party-centric resort — it’s better suited for travelers looking to relax and enjoy the beach in a more laid-back atmosphere. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be refreshing the rooms and hallways, as they’re starting to show their age.

Grand Park Royal Cancun - All Inclusive

The all-inclusive resort was quite good. The room was nice and had great views. The beach right in front was one of the most beautiful in the area and was free of sargassum (we went for a walk one day and some of the surrounding hotels had beaches covered in sargassum). What we liked least was the limited variety of food. There are four restaurants, but the food is always the same. The buffet is quite basic; we didn't use it because we didn't like much of it. The specialty restaurants aren't bad. In our opinion, they should improve this: the Italian restaurant doesn't have pizza on its menu, and the pasta sauces are watery/Mexican, even though there's little variety in Mexico. There are no quesadillas (how can that be? We tried more Mexican food before arriving at the resort than here). Breakfast at the Italian restaurant was delicious. And the salmon tacos at Flor de Sal are also delicious. We've had them every day! There's an adults-only pool with good views, which is great. You're relaxed (as long as you don't have groups of drunken kids screaming around). One problem we encountered is that people reserve sun loungers early in the morning and leave their towels there without even being at the pool. On top of that, the larger ones, with sofas and umbrellas, are reserved for VIPs, and even if they're not occupied, they won't let you use them. The staff is a 10. Very friendly and helpful. Always smiling. The gym is quite well-equipped for a hotel. On checkout day, they remove your all-inclusive bracelet when you leave your room, but you can stay in the hotel and enjoy the restaurants and services until 4:00 PM.

Very very large hotel with many stores and restaurants . There are lots of amenities but most are extra pay (which is a bit unfortunate given how much the hotel is already).

Hotel NYX Cancun

NYX Cancun has both good and bad points. It’s in a good location, suggests all the best facilities, staff are friendly and generally accommodating, and the rooms are well proportioned and feel good. However, all inclusive does not mean all inclusive with lots of things excluded on every menu, at the bar, On the beach, at the spa – there’s not paid upgrade everywhere so all inclusive is more just average. On the day after you arrive the team Are very pushy to take you to a 90 minute presentation to join their club. The 90% of people it won’t be the right choice, but for those who go to NYX regularly it might be useful, offer people that like the NYX type of Hotel, for others who just want to come and enjoy your vacation the presentation and pushy sales is a big turn off. There is a massive problem with availability around the pool. The pool is small for the number of rooms in the Hotel, and it’s not available all day as you would expect – the events team are constantly taking it over for Aqua aerobics, water volleyball so at the peak hours of the day you can’t actually go for a relaxing swim. Also, the lounge is around the pool of part few for the number of guests, often all being fully reserved by 7:30 am with people showing up mid morning not staying on them all day but blocking everybody else. The Hotel does have space on the beach, but all the premium spaces are saved For paid upgrades, And their exclusive paid club which is hundreds of dollars a year more. Finally, allergies with the food is dangerous – cross-contamination in the buffet and the staff don’t take it that seriously. If you want a well located Hotel for a reasonable cost with a nice room and you’re prepared to do the sunbed fight don’t mind a presentation and love friendly staff – it’s a great place to stay. If you want midmorning availability at the pool, all inclusive to mean all inclusive, or you have dietary requirements – there are elements that may not be ideal. Not a bad Hotel, but more average than great.

This hotel is located on a barrier island chain off Cancun, with a lagoon on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, boasting stunning blue waters at a pleasant temperature. The food at the hotel was excellent; we booked an all-inclusive package, and the cuisine was varied, offering buffet, à la carte, and room service options. The hotel also has many complimentary activities, and we participated in the boating program...

This was my second consecutive stay at this hotel, and unfortunately my overall impression remained the same. The location is excellent if you want to stay in the city center, although it is quite far from the beach. The room was spacious, and the king bed was very comfortable. However, the hotel still lacks transparency regarding additional charges. Despite booking through Trip.com and paying for the room, breakfast, VAT, and taxes, I was asked to pay an extra MXN 82.12 per night as an ”environmental tax” without being provided with a clear explanation or an official receipt. This created unnecessary confusion. The breakfast was also disappointing. Although it was advertised as a buffet, there was no buffet available. Guests receive a very limited selection, including coffee, juice, a small fruit plate, eggs, beans, and toast, which did not meet my expectations. The room itself was comfortable, but the issues with communication, billing transparency, and the breakfast experience meant that my second stay did not change my opinion of the hotel.
