⭐ Review: Riverbank Suites Unit 408, Kuching, Sarawak I recently stayed at Riverbank Suites Unit 408 in Kuching, Sarawak, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The location is one of the major highlights — right in the heart of the city and just steps away from the Kuching Waterfront, local eateries, and popular attractions like Carpenter Street and the Main Bazaar. This made exploring the city on foot very easy and convenient. The unit itself was spacious and comfortable, with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and a balcony offering scenic views of the Sarawak River. It is ideal for families, couples, or longer stays. Cleanliness was good, and the basic amenities such as Wi-Fi and air-conditioning were provided. However, the air-conditioning in Room 2 was leaking, so we did not use it throughout our stay. As a result, the room felt slightly warm during sleep. One of the highlights of the unit is the balcony view, especially in the evening, which creates a relaxing atmosphere overlooking the river and city lights. Facilities such as the swimming pool and parking were also appreciated. Overall, Riverbank Suites Unit 408 is a well-located and comfortable accommodation with great views. With minor maintenance improvements, it would be an even better place to stay in Kuching.

Hilton’s location is right smack but they lack cleanliness as shown in the photos, the dust on the top of the bed frame and wardrobe that doesn’t close properly. The breakfast areas in the mornings are also packed with people with not enough spaces to seat. Having been to hotels where they are sufficiently staffed, they could have split tables enabling single guests to seat but the hotel was just unable to cope with the breakfast crowd.

The Sheraton Kuching Hotel offers an excellent stay thanks to its prime central location in the heart of Kuching’s Golden Triangle, placing guests within easy walking distance of the Sarawak River waterfront, Top Spot seafood centre, and popular local breakfast stalls serving delicious kolo mee. Sedap sangat 😘 Rooms are consistently praised for being spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable, with many guests noting the high quality of amenities and the impressive city views, especially from upgraded suites. The breakfast buffet at the ground-floor Nomadic restaurant receives strong marks for its wide variety of local and international dishes, including standout options like Sarawak laksa, though some guests feel the spread leans more toward quantity than consistent quality. One of the hotel’s greatest strengths is its staff, who are widely described as friendly, helpful, and efficient, making guests feel welcome throughout their stay. Kudos to Noraishah, staff from Nomadic Cafe. She's totally a star 🌟

My stay was disappointing. The room was very hot when I arrived and remained uncomfortable, definitely not ideal in warm weather. The surroundings and ventilation need improvement. The toilet was dirty, and the sliding door did not close properly it hung awkwardly over the rim. I have to do it myself to make it inside the rim so it can slide better. Breakfast was okay only and not attractive. They mentioned a tablet would be provided, but it wasn’t. Also, no one answered the contact number for inquiries. I expected much better for the price. Overall, this place is only for Instagrammable.

Friendly front desk. Clean, room is big and washroom is big. Problem js there’s too many little lights everywhere in the room that i can’t turn off when i sleep - aircond, TV, mirrors, switches etc, plus reflections from mirrors means 2x these lights - so it was horrible for me as someone who is super sensitive to light. There’s at least 2-4 door boys at the main door each time I walk in/ out but they’re too busy chit chat and playing with each other - I don’t expect them to open doors for me but seeing a bunch of them there playing around ignoring people walking in and out is just waste of your resource.

This is my first stay in rume I did bring my boss to have second stay 2 weeks after I’m satisfied But not him, his room twins single bed Seems to be improved

I booked two rooms, one mangrove view and one garden view. The front desk upgraded both to mangrove view for free, and the service was excellent with smiles all around. The breakfast food was more suited for a foreign palate! Overall, it was really great, the environment was lovely and very relaxing. 👍

Booked the double deluxe room. Had 2 issues 1. The water temperature is not stable. You'll get warm/hot water for a solid 5 min then it’ll be cold. 2. My room had a window in the toilet where the sun shines through so bright early in the morning, should add in a blind or something there to block them. Breakfast was okay but for the prices of the rooms, could be improve a lot more. Other than that my experience was great. Extended my stay up till 3pm and that cost MYR200 just to get a bit more rest. Would recommend for the comfy bed but get breakfast elsewhere for sure.

They upgrades me to triple deluxe due to room availability. The room is big but got some ants on the table, it don’t bother me much. Clean and big bed. Room equipped with basic toiletries, water bottle. Lobby and dining area is clean and comfortable. As it is near to riverfront, this hotel is the best if compare to 5 stars hotel and backpackers hostel elsewhere if with family but has budget concern. Service is good. Easy to call grab.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view of the river. Waking up to the scenic waterfront and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere truly enhanced the overall experience. The hotel’s location is also excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions along the Kuching waterfront. Overall, a great stay with comfortable rooms and a beautiful river view. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching.
