Great
GGuest UserWe absolutely loved everything about our stay at Zuri Resort Coron. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm, relaxing, and well thought out. We stayed in a Family Room with two queen beds and bunk beds built above them, and our kids loved it — it was spacious, fun, and perfect for families.
The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond. The resort’s four pools were another major highlight, each offering amazing views of the beach and sunset, making it easy to wind down and enjoy the scenery.
We were impressed by the cocktails, food, and buffet selection, which had a wide variety of options that catered to both Filipinos and non-Filipinos. Everything felt fresh and satisfying.
Another thing we appreciated was how the resort provided clear details on different activities and tours available around Coron. It made planning our days simple and stress-free.
Overall, Zuri Resort delivered comfort, beauty, and excellent service from start to finish. I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again.
MMarshieGot it! Here’s your revised review, keeping the original friendly tone while clarifying the tour offerings and distance to attractions like Honda Bay and the Underground River:

**A Perfect Tropical Escape – Carpe Diem Villas Exceeded Expectations!**
From the moment we arrived at Carpe Diem Villas, we were treated like VIPs! The staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and big smiles, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt at home in this beautiful, tranquil retreat.
Our villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed—combining modern comforts with a cozy tropical vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having a private balcony where we could unwind with a cup of coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evenings. The pool area was another highlight—serene, well-maintained, and perfect for lounging under the Palawan sun.
While the villa is located in Puerto Princesa city (not near far-flung attractions like the Underground River or Honda Bay), the hotel made exploring easy by offering convenient tours to these must-see spots - from city tours to island-hopping adventures, ensuring that we can experience the best of Palawan without the stress of planning. Their recommendations for local restaurants and hidden gems were also spot-on!
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay feel extra special.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-appointed retreat with outstanding service and easy access to tours (even to faraway attractions!), Carpe Diem Villas is the perfect choice.
GGuest UserThe bats and lizards on the island are the highlights. At sunset in the evening, the bats will leave the island to go out for food. Thousands of bats and the sunset take off, which is very spectacular. The hotel service is also good. When I return to the room at night, all the clothes are folded and the charging cable is rolled up and placed on the table. I live in a garden room. The room facilities are a little older, but overall it is comfortable. New houses are still being built on the island, and the new houses may be better. There are two restaurants on the island, one international restaurant and one Filipino restaurant. No brainer to go to the Filipino restaurant🍴
__M1381886****The hotel is located on a small road, about a 15-20 minute walk from the busiest street. It's a short distance from Zuri. I've stayed at both and each has its pros and cons. The view is still good, and breakfast is decent. The Wi-Fi is mediocre and disconnects frequently. It has its own pier, which is great for watching the sunset. However, it's easy to accidentally end up in a room near the chicken coops; those chickens really crow day and night. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms, but they said they were fully booked. Luckily, Trip.com was very helpful and arranged a room a bit further away, so I finally didn't have to listen to chickens crowing in the middle of the night.
AAnonymous UserGood service. Each room is equipped with a locker. They can let you borrow a lock if you don’t have one. The room I got had 2 bunk beds and. was assigned the lower bunk. Each bunk has its own dedicated lamp, charging space, sleeve where you can place small items, and a drying area for damp towels, etc. They hostel also has a daily room service for cleaning.
Rooms include daily buffet-style breakfast which starts at 6 am. It was sufficient and their eggs and pancake station is never a miss. They have plentiful staff that can assist their guests throughout their stay.
Ggibo_27Hotel is surprisingly great for its price! With just some few bucks to add vs the usual lodge/backpacker rates, you will get far superior amenities, room size and service as a whole. The hotel owner is the same with Zuri Resort by the bay, and the adjacent Westown Lagoon.
Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Hotel facade, pool and bar and restaraunt are also great. They got three or four pools. The rooms are okay, not as pleasant as the hotel facade but still are in good condition and still comfortable.
The only downside would be the location, its 5-6km away from the town proper - will take around 10mins via tuktuk/tricyle. Bfast buffet is just okay. Not a lot of choices but still good.
Overall, still a good experience for the price.
KKerysLocation of the hotel was very close to the town however our room (pool view) was at the top and with lots of bags it’s quite the climb due to all the stairs. The staff were friendly and the rooms was fairly clean Just outdated, the window in our bathroom wouldn’t shut causing lizards and other small bugs to come In the room and the water in the shower would occasionally run cold. Other than than the room was a decent size and we had a pleasant stay
RRBieriBeen here before and this tome its showing age. Service remains excellent and cleanliness is also noted to be maintained. Rooms are a but old ans need to be updated. Sheets are clean and comfortable beds.
MMark RaymondWe stayed at Microtel by Wyndham Puerto Princesa for just one night, booking five rooms for a quick family staycation. At first, we were a bit skeptical due to some mixed reviews online, but we were pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience turned out to be!
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with shell necklaces, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The rooms were spacious and clean, giving us plenty of space to relax. The kids especially enjoyed the pool—while it’s not very large, it was more than enough for them to have fun.
The beachfront is beautiful—perfect for photo ops and water activities, though perhaps not ideal for swimming. Still, it adds a charming touch to the resort’s peaceful ambiance.
A few areas could use some improvement:
• The TVs are a bit outdated—an upgrade to smart TVs would enhance the guest experience.
• The window-type air conditioners, while functional, can be a bit noisy.
• Some furniture and room details could benefit from light touch-ups to maintain a fresher look.
As for the restaurant (operated by a concessioner), the breakfast was decent—nothing fancy, but enough to start the day.
Overall, Microtel Puerto Princesa exceeded our expectations. It’s a great spot for a relaxing and affordable getaway, and with a few upgrades, it could be even better. Would definitely consider staying again!
GGuest UserTotal mismatch in price/quality.
We stayed in the room for 5 nights, during this time the room was never cleaned, not even the trash was taken out. In addition to everything else, we lived in room 2, it is opposite the staff room, they simply took the chair from our balcony and did not bring it back, we had to constantly pick it up ourselves. The Internet was only available on the balcony, it was impossible to use the Internet in the room, and even mobile Internet was practically non-existent. The blades of the air conditioner are broken, so they are simply glued with tape. All the plumbing is in a sad state. The hair dryer stated in the description was not in the room. On the plus side - the water heater works, the sockets didn't suit us, they bought adapters for us, at breakfast you could ask to increase the portion a little, they didn't charge extra (there was an omelette from 1 egg, I asked to make it from 2, they met me halfway), very friendly staff, they offered us to leave our things at the reception before check-in and go for a walk. We bought excursions at the hotel - they gave us a cool mask for snorkeling. The location of the hotel is a separate song) There is a safe!)
