Koh Lipe Hotels with Bars

Bulow Casa was an absolute gem and one of the best stays we have ever had. The beach was stunning — pristine, peaceful, and just steps away. It’s the kind of beach you never want to leave. The atmosphere of the hotel itself was wonderful. The surroundings are beautifully maintained and create a truly relaxing environment that makes you feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive. The food at the hotel was delicious and well-prepared, with a great variety that satisfied every craving. Dining here was genuinely a pleasure. The staff deserve a special mention — they were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Their warmth made a real difference to our experience. One standout feature that truly impressed us was the complimentary shuttle service around Koh Lipe. Being able to explore the island freely without any extra cost was a fantastic touch that showed how much the hotel cares about its guests’ experience. We would recommend Bulow Casa to anyone visiting Koh Lipe without hesitation. We will absolutely be back.

Out of the three hotels I stayed at on Koh Lipe – one Sunrise, one Sunset, and The Serendipity – The Serendipity was by far the most pleasant surprise, truly living up to its name. First off, the staff were incredibly friendly. When they noticed my child's life vest wasn't properly worn, a staff member proactively stepped in to help put it on and adjust it. These kinds of kind gestures, beyond their direct duties, are the most heartwarming. Beyond that, the rooms were spotless and the views were absolutely stunning. You could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sea, sunrise, and stars – perfect for taking photos or simply unwinding. The cliffside restaurant also offered great value; hotel guests even get a 15% discount on food. Despite being a popular spot, the portion sizes were genuinely generous. Finally, the occasional visits from small animals (birds and geckos) in the room added a charming touch. Of course, there was one downside: the mosquitoes were quite bothersome. Although the hotel was diligent about lighting mosquito coils and putting down mosquito nets, I still got bitten quite a bit after just a short time on the balcony in the evening. I'd recommend bringing your own repellent.

Was a bit far from the main area, and the hotel provided only one shuttle per day. We actually booked a room with a different design and got a completely different room. When we asked to see the other rooms, they showed us rooms with the same design as the first, instead of just saying they renovated the room. We didn’t get any compensation for this inconvenience. Some of the buildings needed renovations. The whole floor around our room was super dirty and disgusting. A lot of stairs in the hotel if you want to go down to the beach and restaurant area. Also was pretty expensive and was not worth the price in my opinion. Pros - very nice breakfast. Gorgeous beach area. Nice staff. Clean room.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this resort! We stayed in the Tree Pool Villa, and it was absolutely perfect for our child. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush tropical greenery, which made the whole experience feel peaceful and relaxing. We loved all the amenities the resort has to offer. The complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to the walking street was incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area. We also treated ourselves to the spa, and it was one of the highlights of our stay—very relaxing and definitely worth it. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a great variety of delicious options to choose from. Our favorite was definitely the noodle station! The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. One thing that really impressed us was the bathroom—it was almost as large as the bedroom and felt luxurious. The resort’s beachfront location was another major highlight. Our child had so much fun kayaking and snorkeling in the clear water. If you’re staying here, I also highly recommend renting a boat to visit and hike the island directly opposite the resort. The scenery is breathtaking, and it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss. Overall, we had an amazing family vacation and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing tropical getaway!

I love this resort so much, in front of sunrise beach, the environment is very calm, all the staff also helpful. Complete amenities, very soft bed and pillow. They will help you pickup and sent to pier with no charges. Very recommended. The beach also very beatiful crystal clear water. Just a walking distance to halal restaurant and mosque. Really enjoy our stay here❤️

This is a very famous sunset hotel with beautiful sea views. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathtub downstairs, which I didn't discover until the second day. Soaking in the tub while enjoying the sea view was absolutely delightful! The hotel's food is quite tasty, especially dinner, where you can also watch the sunset – it's stunning. The staff speak a little Chinese, are enthusiastic, and have a great attitude. The beach is private to the hotel; the sand is a bit coarse, but it doesn't detract from enjoying the sea views or kayaking. It was excellent, and I'll definitely come back again!

I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

Pros: 1. **Location:** It's not right by the bustling pedestrian street, so it's relatively quiet, yet only a 5-10 minute walk away. 2. It's a detached, single-story villa with a private terrace. 3. The room has a minimalist design, and there's plenty of hot water for showers. 4. The beach is just a few steps from the room. 5. There are exclusive beach chairs available on the beach. 6. The breakfast is substantial, mainly Western-style. 7. They offer shuttle services. Cons: 1. The room is a bit run-down; many facilities are old or loose. 2. The island in general is a bit noisy and too crowded. 3. At over 1000 RMB per night during peak season, it's not great value for money. 4. The immigration and departure points on the island for boarding/disembarking boats are quite chaotic. You have to pay the island fee upfront. Be aware that the ATM next to immigration charges half the withdrawal amount in fees – a definite rip-off. 5. The staff on the Thai transfer boat were rude and crammed everyone onto one vessel.

The hotel was chosen based on its relatively low price and location. The hotel has seen a lot in its time: a padlock on the front door, cracks in the floor, sockets that are extremely loose, unobtrusive service. However, enough of the negative. Quite good breakfasts, proximity to the sea, good attitude of the staff level out the negative. Try it!
