AAnastasiya_YuЭто просто шикарный отель! Мы остались в полном восторге! Один из лучших на острове. Номера большие, чистые, современные и есть все необходимое, халаты, фен, даже тапочки очень удобные, хотели узнать где такие купить😁 в номере холодильник, кондиционер, вентилятор на потолке в комнате и на веранде, есть сейф и даже средство от комаров) Персонал очень приветливый и отзывчивый. От отеля есть бесплатное такси на ужин с 17 до 18, в другое время они могут вызвать такси для вас и это будет стоить 100бат. Так же встречают и отвозят к порту тоже бесплатно. Завтраки вкусные, заказываешь по меню. Пляж маленькие, но уединенный, справа от него лучший пляж на острове, пройти 3 минуты через камни-когда нет отлива и по берегу -во время отлива. Еще отель предоставляет бесплатно маски для снорклинга, каяки и сабы.

TTravel knowledgeOne of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in. Absolutely beautiful facilities and the staff were amazing and tentative. Rooms were always cleaned and the private pool was always cleaned. One and only down fall is the distance to walking street but the hotel can arrange taxi for you each time and they have one free taxi every evening at 6pm

GGuest UserI stayed in the Akira for a total of 5 nights and I loved every bit of it. Located right at the beach, it is super close to the walking street, perhaps a five minute walk. In fact, you do not need to leave the hotel as the friendly staff (Meeda's team is great) helps you with everything. The facility also features are great restaurant with super affordable prices, plus there is a BBQ every single day just in front at the hotel at the beach front. I had to change rooms twice and saw three rooms of different categories, all of them were clean, spacious, and just great. If I decide to go to Ko Lipe again, Akira - without a second of a doubt - would be my choice.

MMarldeboneI have no idea how Idllyic rates as highly as it does. And I’ve stayed at 5 different hotels on Koh Lipe, so I’ve got a good basis for local comparison.
It’s not *bad* - the problem is that it’s priced as a premium option when the reality is in many ways non-premium. It looks kind of fancy on the outside, but that’s a veneer.
Basically, it’s bad *value*. If they charged half as much as they do I’d be giving it 8/10 & be pretty happy. But for what they charge it’s a disappointing 4/10.
The good:
The beach is beautiful. This end of Sunrise Beach is one of the nicer spots.
Lots of sun-lounges placed on/near the actual beach, which can be lacking at some places.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Not as proactive as I’ve experienced elsewhere (which is probably a management issue) - but they’re still good.
The setting / gardens are quite nice, albeit feel a bit cramped - lots of big buildings in a small space.
The bad:
While in general I’d rate the cleanliness of the place as high, there were several large & obvious stains on the duvet (very visible through a (clean) top sheet).
The room (a “Deluxe Cabana Garden View”) was quite small for the price. The place I stayed on Koh Lipe immediately prior - which was leagues better in every way - about 25% more money got me a (much nicer) room ~3x the size.
Room was looking pretty tired & quite poorly maintained. Particularly the bathroom.
Multiple rain leaks in the shower ceiling/walls - one above the towel rain, and combined they splash water all over the bathroom floor. Cracked perspex panels & rotted wood trims in the bathroom, poorly applied caulk & overpaint, water stains, etc. Both doors jam in their frames. The sort of rooms that probably looked/were amazing when new, but not any more.
Shower doesn’t drain properly & often lets out septic-tank-smells. Not uncommon for accom on a small island like Lipe, and not the end of the world, but I would’ve expected better for the price. Plus a (fresh water) leak from a hose connected to the toilet.
Food & drink prices are obscene for Thailand, even by the standards of higher-end places on Lipe. And to add insult the food items I tried were average. It’s also literally the only place I’ve stayed (or eaten) on Lipe which adds VAT & a 10% service charge - that I have zero confidence is actually going to the staff - on top of prices. Which just feels cheap & petty. Charge what you’re going to charge - but just list what the total cost is going to be.
Breakfast buffet is disappointing - variety is poor (for the price point), food isn’t great, and any “hot” food that’s not cooked specifically for you will be cold.
The annoying:
They practically force you to install their app, nominally to allow messaging with the hotel staff. And it does do that. But they also use it to spam you with constant push notifications trying to get you to buy stuff. They’ve sent 7 *so far* just today. And there’s no way to turn them off. The fact they don’t have a way to disable promotions says a lot about the place I think.
The rooms are really poorly *designed*, eg:
One accessible powerpoint in the entire room (outside the bathroom) - and it has the switch & plug so close that you can’t plug a phone charger into it. There isn’t even a power point for the kettle.
The chandelier-lamps in the room act like wind chimes with the AC on. So you can either have a cool room, or have a constant jangling noise.
Very hard & uncomfortable mattresses (a bit subjective, but these are *hard*).
One small towel rail in the whole bathroom/room. Good luck if you want to hang two bath towels - or even a hand towel - or want to dry your swimsuit inside.
I’ll finish reiterating what I said at the start - this place isn’t *bad*. It’s just not particularly good, in a whole myriad of ways, while pitching & pricing itself like it’s great. You can do far better for the same (actually, less) money.

GGuest UserFantastic resort, beautiful gardens and large swimming pool (nearly always quiet in 1st week December). Just a short walk down hill/steps to beach. A short walk to north end of sunrise beach to where zodiac bar is. Breakfast is very varied and very good quality. One downside is only one coffee machine which isn’t enough to serve guests so always a long queue. We had grand garden villa which were so big. Massive terrace/balcony too but no furniture so just a big wasted space - 2 loungers would be great if the resort could add in the future. Would definitely stay again for a third visit to Lipe

TTotsy.daisyWe absolutely loved our stay at Serendipity! Our room, located right at the very top, came with a private pool and offered ultimate privacy — truly a peaceful escape. The beach is tucked away at the far end of Sunrise Beach, making it wonderfully secluded from the crowds and the long-tail boats.
The food was amazing — everything we tried was delicious! We especially loved that breakfast could either be enjoyed at the restaurant or served right to our room for a more relaxing morning.
The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Plus, the resort provides free snorkel gear and kayaks for guests who want to explore the beautiful waters nearby.
All in all, it was a superb stay — excellent service, top-notch views, and pure serenity. We loved it to bits and would come back in a heartbeat! 🌴✨

The room was super clean and equipped with all the amenities I needed. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, giving a true sense of serenity.
Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options. Dining at the Season Restaurant is a must-try—such a scenic spot, and the pasta was amazing.
The hotel also has a private beach with a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It really gave me the chance to fully rest and recharge.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Lipe, I highly recommend this hotel. Totally worth it, genuinely impressed! Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making my stay so memorable.

NNINI HARTINI ASNAWIThis was one of the most peaceful and memorable vacations I’ve ever had. Waking up to the sound of waves and the beautiful sea view was magical. When choosing a room, I didn’t understand the difference between wooden and standard rooms, so I chose the first one. It turned out that it had a floor made of wooden boards with gaps between them. Theoretically, insects could get into the room through these cracks, but during the night I lived there, insects did not bother me.
There is a kettle in the room (mine was faulty and did not turn off automatically), coffee and water are available at the reception at any time in unlimited quantities.
Each room also has a special rug that you can take with you to the beach.
Of the minuses:
Very weak internet, and equally weak water pressure in the shower.
There is no table and chair in the room, since I need to work on a laptop, it was not very convenient.
I also didn’t have enough air conditioning, but it’s my fault that I chose a room without air conditioning
