Guest UserAbsolutely fantastic and reliable! It's only a 5-minute walk to the viewpoint and an 8-minute walk to the city center. You can watch the hot air balloons take off right from the terrace, no need to chase after them. Breakfast was great! What really stood out was on check-out day, we had an early flight and wouldn't make it to breakfast. We asked the responsible gentleman (who looked like Lewandowski, haha!) and he prepared two breakfast boxes for us to take on the road, complete with juice and sandwiches. We were so touched! Book this place! It's beautiful! Great location! One of the most satisfying stays this trip!

Anonymous UserLocation is very central which is good for tour pick ups. Hotel was nice and clean. Only problem was ventilation - we got the stone room, and there was immediately a bit of a sewer smell lingering in the room that hit us, which was a bit unpleasant. It went off once we got the heater going. Other than that, everything else was good. Breakfast was the best part though it starts quite late, 830am to 1030am.

wt.cWe absolutely enjoyed our stay with Sultan. The staff were amazing & helped us very much! A big shoutout to Darina, Yunus & all the rest who has helped us so attentively & replied to our messages whenever they can! One thing I would change about my trip is to make all my bookings with them! They actually have a list of vendors they worked with & in house tours which we can signed up for. We went for the Breakfast Tour & the Hammam at their sister’s hotel, both of it we absolutely loved. We would also like to commend Shams’ hospitality in guiding us on the Breakfast Tour, making our stay in Cappadocia such an enjoyable & restorative one ❤️

The room was very satisfying, with underfloor heating that kept it warm no matter how cold it was outside. It was genuinely carved out of a cave, not a later construction.
The hotel itself is quite large, especially since it has its own restaurant. The food was very much to Chinese taste; it was the best chicken and beef rice I had in Turkey.
The only minor issue is that the hotel doesn't provide complimentary drinking water. I asked the staff for two bottles, and they charged me for them upon checkout. I'm okay with paying, but I'm not okay with them not mentioning it at the time and only bringing it up during checkout. Plus, I think providing daily drinking water for guests is something a hotel should do. I'd still rate it a 9.5; overall, I'm quite happy with my stay.

Guest UserA truly beautiful hotel, I loved the overall vibe. After staying one night in a cave hotel, it was nice to experience a different style. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, though the toilet and bathroom were a bit small. The showerhead in the bathroom was like a telephone receiver, which was fun to pick up and place back on the holder. There's a ramen shop right opposite the hotel, and it's quite easy to find. The hotel staff's uniforms are all custom-made and look great, and the staff themselves are all handsome men and beautiful women, haha, you'll see what I mean when you go there.

Avlu Cave Hotel is a quaint famiily-owned hotel of about 8 rooms. It is conveniently located 3-4 minutes from the Goreme center.
During our stay, we received first class service from the manager, Jan, and his assistant, Naji. Within minutes of arriving at the hotel, Jan offered breakfast. The buffet of traditional Turkish breakfast and some continental items was beautifully laid out in their breakfast room. I did not think we had breakfast on arrival day, but I was thankful for this generosity as we left Istanbul so early and were ready for a good meal.
In no time also, Jan and Naji, who were really very hospitable, filled in with activities our incomplete tour plan. They made arrangements for the horseback riding sunset ride, the hot air balloon ride, and one of the tours. They also arranged earlier our airport pickup and later, transport to the airport.
The room we occupied had a balcony and we made good use of it to soak in Goreme in between our outings. Avlu Cave Hotel provided us the perfect homey ambiance that we wanted to experience in Cappadocia. This is an ideal place for solo travelers, couples, as well as families.

Goreme Treasure Cave Hotel | Aza gets rave reviews, great value for money!
This hotel is a sister property to Sultan Cave Suites, sharing facilities, but Aza offers significantly better value! The rooms are larger, have better views, and even come with their own pools. Crucially, it's much quieter than Sultan – Sultan's front-facing rooms can be noisy due to the restaurant and bar, whereas Aza is completely peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. If you value quiet, this is the place to be. (Sometimes you can hear hallway noise when people enter the room next door, but overall it's quiet. However, the stairs can be challenging for elderly guests).
The breakfast is incredibly generous, with the scrambled eggs and beef being a must-try. The food is plentiful and satisfying. If you want to see the hot air balloon sunrise, you can head directly to Sultan's observation deck for photos – you get the best of both worlds. The hotel's recommended excursions are a bit pricey; I suggest booking through a restaurant owner in town for much better deals.
The SPA experience was a wonderful surprise – professional techniques and just the right amount of pressure. It offers far better value than other places in town and is my top pick for relaxation.
What was most heartwarming was that my non-refundable booking dropped in price upon arrival, and Trip.com proactively refunded the difference. The hotel even upgraded me for free to a suite with a fireplace! A staff member kindly helped chop wood and start the fire. Listening to the sound of wood chopping in the courtyard and watching the warm glow of the fire in the room truly enhanced the cave accommodation experience – it was unforgettable.
The cave room was very comfortable, the pool view was absolutely stunning, and the overall experience was perfect. If you're coming to Goreme, you can't go wrong with this place!

Had a lovely stay at ShoeString Cave Hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Breakfast had a great variety of foods
Location was very convenient
Hasan Pasha Cave Room was great, clean and nicely presented. A couple of minor things to note is 1) the floors felt sandy even after the room was cleaned on the second night - not a problem because we had slippers. 2) the bathroom tab was a bit stiff and had high water pressure, with the type of tap and sink shape, I found that you needed to be really slow and careful when turning on the tap, otherwise the water would spray in then out of the sink! It might need some oil to loosen up the tap. Not a big problem, we just kept our stuff under the sink to avoid it getting wet.
Thanks for the stay! Would 100% recommend to stay here.

Gathering HearthThis was a truly beautiful, stylish, and charming place. I was impressed by the facility's clear intention to provide excellent service and amenities in every corner, which was very satisfying.
The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and beautifully plated, making for a delightful start to the day for both the eyes and the palate. I enjoyed the breakfast ambiance so much that I also had dinner at the same restaurant, and that too was very satisfying. Above all, the cheerful attitude and clever wit of the staff serving breakfast and dinner made dining in an unfamiliar travel destination incredibly comfortable.
However, I was a bit disappointed because I specifically chose this hotel for its indoor pool, hoping to escape the hot Cappadocia afternoons in a cool and comfortable setting. On the first day, the pool was occupied for an Instagram photoshoot, and on the second day, a family with very active children essentially had the pool all to themselves, so I couldn't use it properly.
While the cleanliness and maintenance seemed excellent, the room itself was very dark with many shadowy corners, which made me wonder if thorough cleaning could be consistently maintained. The spacious and comfortable bed was fantastic, but the pillows were a bit disappointing. They seemed to be down-filled but were rather high, making them less comfortable for someone with specific sleeping preferences. I found them a bit uncomfortable, and it would be great if there were goose down pillow options.
Despite the rather strenuous journey of exploring Zelve and the outdoor valleys in the hot midday sun, this place allowed me to have a pleasant and enjoyable time overall.
