Family-friendly Hotels in Barcelona

Firstly, it's too pricey and doesn't really offer good value. It feels very hot even after adjusting the temperature to the lowest setting (19 degrees Celsius being the lowest possible). The room is a bit old, and water flows out from the shower room while showering. The bathroom area is extremely dark. This package cost me around $6K HKD, and I can confidently say it doesn't compare well to other new 5-star hotels in Barcelona. The best thing about W is the bar/restaurant on the 26th floor. The staff is generally rude and impolite, possibly including some of the security staff. The reception staff assisting with check-in are also unfriendly, possibly due to a large number of guests waiting.

The breakfast is diverse, rich and delicious. The room provides snacks, coffee machine and teapot. The room is not big, and it is noisy outside. There are people making noise nearby at night. Because there is another check-in the next day, the hotel will re-charge the breakfast fee for the previous check-in. Two people checked in, and even counted as five people. There was no actual inspection of the payment details. There were obvious mistakes in homework. Although there were improvements, this kind of error is a bit outrageous for a five-star hotel.

I am from Singapore. Was very impressed with the location of the hotel. It has the old castle feel and the roof top pool n good view and the pretty spirals staircase of the hotel to the roof top . The only fault I can find was the bath towels were not very clean. Have feedback to the Mgt and saw the pretty and friendly Manager Ms Monica who is efficient and quick to settle the imperfect and make us have a Happy Stay again . I love the key . Snap shot of the beautify key and the beautiful spiral stairs for your view. Thumbs up for location, service and breakfast. Buffet breakfast reasonably nice . You can even see the Sagrada Familia at the roof top view . Missed out the night scene though. We were too tired shopping at night and forgot to take the night scene .

The location is super good, right next to Casa Mila, close to attractions and shopping places, all within walking distance, the room is relatively large, cleaned every day, with a separate shower room. The breakfast is rich and delicious.

Booked 2 rooms and stayed here early summer. Hotel was already quite busy in peak capacity. I can't imagine how crowded the hotel would be during summer Pros 1) Very good location. Located right by Bogatel station you can walk to the train. I bought the 12 ride pass for 4 days and it got me to most places. Uber in BCN is not expensive as well 2) Great AC for the summer. We were worried about AC from previous reviews but no problems when they switched it on. The hotel doesn't on AC during the transitions but most hotels in North America and Europe so that as well 3) Comfortable beds, decent size rooms ( on a smaller side) but it's very ibis styles standard Cons 1) Pool that you can never use during the summer. It is too crowded 2) breakfast is not really the best. Eggs are too soggy and of course breakfast is a crowd battle that they have to encourage people to wake early. 3) Front desk staff can have better English language skills. It was quite difficult to ask for simple requests. Staff also can be educated on the accor programs and benefits especially when they are wearing the ALL badge. Staff forgets welcome drinks and elite benefits 4) Housekeeping can pay better attention to details. Our bathtub was clogged on the first night we arrived and we had to switch rooms. I also don't get why there is a bathtub as they remove the stopper due to their Green washing. Might as well just get a shower room there's more space 5) This hotel has so much green washing that it gets uncomfortable rather than an intention to save the earth. I do my own part but I don't prefer people to force it down your throat Overall I may just skip the ibis styles brand is for no frills, low budget, no expectations, place to sleep kinda hotel. I may just skip it in the future if it's closes the 200 eur a night range

Avoid this hotel, This hotel has lot of problems specially for geust that are planning to stay longer than 3 dyas. Please read it till the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all the problems started before whe arrived with this hotel. Whe booked suite with an early checkin and sended an email with the question from wich time whe can checkin while whe booked an early checkin. Whe got an email back from manuela wich she didnt chekced my booking at all even i sended their my booking nr. She reply’s that early checkin is upon availability. After sending a mail back she says sorry about the misunderstanding because i have already booked the early checking, she just didnt checked my personal details before sending a email back. The next few days i sended a email again about taxi’s etc….and mosts email wont get answered. The days whe arrived in our suite. Huge leaking in the shower. Molt is growing on the wet carpet. Whe have reported this at least 4/5 times and only 2 times they taken action, ask this to the housekeepers and even they told me that they reported it many times. Whe are just suprised that they told us that the hotel staff isnt listen to them!. They just ingnore it in most cases. Guesst are not always able to use the swimming pool while you payed for the hotel as a guest becasue companies have to constantly rent the pool so that guests can't use it, especially in the evenings. We also noticed that noise from the roof daily. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof with music which is no problem at all, only the music is on so loud that you can hear it in the rooms. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof. very bad for the people who want to get up early the next morning or have to go to work so that their sleep is disturbed by this. Keycards in the lift/elevator are not workin gprperly. When you insert the card to go up it wont work. It turns out lot of guests having this issue. I contact the front office in regards to the lunch for 21 september because whe needed to check out at 07:00 and wont make it with the breakfast so asked them what their options are. as if it couldn’t be whorse. 1 male young employee who says on the front office at 19 september at 06:30- in the morning ”oooh no problem” i need to check with reservation departement you are a premium member , booked via our website, I can arrange for you to give you a refund for that day and having a take away breakfast isnt worth the money (in a verry rude and innoproriate way), seriously ? this is the way how you talk to your hotel guest ? the take away isnt worht it ??, asked for a confirmation email , he promised me to contact the reservation department and promise contact me to contact me at the end of the day but as expected nothing heard. End of the day i contacted the front office again and ofcourse i spoken to manueala, manuela told me its not possible to get a rufund wich is totally fine but how she know that ? without contacting reservation depa

We stayed at Iberostar Selection Paseo de Gràcia for my wife’s 40th birthday weekend. It’s the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this hotel and this time paid a little extra for a balcony overlooking La Rambla and the square. We had great views of the city. You can’t beat the location of this hotel for walking access to all the main attractions of Barcelona (and there is a metro station 2 mins walk away if needed). The room was very modern and clean and serviced every day. The hotel has a rooftop terrace bar (the Sky Bar) which has amazing views and is very popular (including with non- hotel guests). All the staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and will defiantly stay here again.

The room was twenty to thirty square meters, very small, and the view was average. The hotel that costs 8,000 yuan a night is small, but it doesn't even have a bathtub. The sense of design can only be said to be in the eye of the beholder. I can see that a lot of thought has been put into the furniture and lamps. I have bought many of the brands I use, and the quality of the supplies is indeed good. In addition, the service is good and the location is the biggest advantage. Ranked low among the MOs I have lived in.

Modern and Luxury hotel with an excellent position to Eixample . Really like the daylight coming from the window . ++++++BREAKFAST AMAZING & the Staff serving it really helpful ++++++
