We are currently staying at the hotel in room 11. When we arrived about 4pm we were told the room wasn’t yet ready as they’d been sent the wrong sheets for the beds(check in time is 3pm) so we dumped our luggage and went back down for a drink. We noted there was no soap or shower gel etc in the bathroom either and this was taken to the room. While having our drinks we were told it would be about 20 mins before they brought the right sheets but they had the wrong size did we want those on instead? We said no thanks we would wait the 20 mins for the right size. A few hours later we were in the room to bath and they sent someone up… with the wrong sheets. She went back down… and then came up with the wrong sized duvet covers. By this point my disabled daughter was getting upset and I’d about had enough. This had been going on for several hours now and no resolution. My daughter had been to equine therapy and if we didn’t have that again tomorrow I’d leave. I suddenly felt very upset at being treated this way. This is not what we have paid for. Really upset at the lack of caring and lack of service. I paid a lot for this room and with two of the three beds without the right sheets how can we be expected to stay like this? Have spoken to staff several times but apart from them promising sheets that don’t arrive no real resolution. Actually rather upset. I wouldn’t stay here again- no care for the guests.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay. We chose this hotel as its a 30 minute drive from Wembley and wasn't expensive like the other hotels. We arrived 2 hours early for check in however the gentleman at reception checked us in no problem and gave us access to our room. Our room was a good size with a double bed and additional pull out sofa bed. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay such as an iron, kettle, hairdryer and towels. There was even a little sign in the bathroom letting us know if we had forgotten anything just let them know. Breakfast both days was lovely with plenty of choice. It did get busy towards the end but we were advised of this on check in. We didn't get back from Wembley till 3am this morning but after a quick email to reception at half 7, they sorted out late check out so we could have a bit more sleep before our 4.5 hour journey home. The staff here work so hard and it seemed to be the same 2 faces our entire 3 day stay. I honestly don't know how they do it and keep smiling. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely return.

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

GGuest UserAfter a train strike scuppered our travel plans to London we decided upon a hotel not far from Brent Cross underground station, which was an easy drive from the bottom of the M1. The hotel was a converted house and included free parking on the front of the hotel although there was only space for two cars. For an extremely reasonable price (for London) of £205 for two nights (cheaper to book direct than through a third party) we had a basic but very clean and well appointed room. It boasted a comfortable bed and excellent shower and TV. Would stay again as only a 5 minute walk from the tube which was then only 20-25 minutes journey to Leicester Square/ Covent Garden/Westminster.

GGuest UserVery pleased to get a room here, as London seemed busy at the time. Parking availability was excellent, and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere in reception and the dining area. It was bright, modern and appealing. The most memorable part of the stay was contact with the Duty Manager - a real character who is a comic tour-de-force. His quirky personality was reflected in the erratic layout in some areas of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with one very pleasant and helpful member of staff, and one other who was sullen and swathed in a large anorak. The room was pleasant enough - the description of ”small double” was certainly accurate. I think the amount advertised for this on the website would be fair, but not the sum I was charged - and I understand this was discounted from the usual price. The wiring, though I have no reason to think it was unsafe, was untidy and hard to locate which switch related to whick appliance. The view from the window was uninspiring. I was told the room had been re-decorated within the past year which alarmed me, if evidence of mould in the bathroom had appeared in so short a time. I experience a ”prickly” feeling in nose and throat at the end of the stay and a few days afterwards - perhaps coincidence admittedly.

GGuest UserI am actually laid on the bed before checking out and couldn't be happier with our stay at The Pillar. I am a wheelchair user, and it is stressful trying to find truly accessible hotel rooms, but this one is including emergency pull cords by bed and shower, bars by toilet and a raised toilet, the seat in shower is bolted to the wall. Some people have said the Wi-Fi is bad, well we laid in bed and streamed shows from BBC iPlayer and 4 on Demand with no buffering! What really made this special was that a Chuppah was set up right outside our room and the central area soon filled with guests, and we got to watch this special moment which ended of course with a lot of singing! Breakfast was perfect, and the staff are very attentive, and over all I cannot fault our stay at this wonderful hotel.

Located in a very interesting multi-ethnic part of London, The Crown is a 30-minute commute away from London's main attractions and thus quite pleasantly located. The modern part of the hotel is welcomingly bright, service at the reception has been very friendly and forthcoming. Our room was more than adequately large in size and very neat. The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient, with an agreeable choice of cereals, fresh fruit, and Full English components. Staff here was also very nice and attentive. A bit of a drawback was the cleanliness of the corridor before our room, which was apparently not vacuumed during our stay.

YYUNFENGThe hotel is very clean and not far from the subway. The breakfast has fried eggs, toast, salmon, and various fruits. I am very satisfied. The downside is that it is a bit far from the city, the room is very crowded and there is no air conditioning.
