Find the Best Hotels Near Beach in Strathcona

My husband booked a two night stay at Painter's lodge for my birthday. Apparently the lodge is under new management and just opened 2 days before our stay. This lodge must have been quite the hotel in its day. It needs a lot of work and with love and care I think it will reach its original beauty. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant and bar were not up and running but we were offered a continental breakfast of yogurt, fruit, granola bars and juice. The location was perfect and the decor was lovely. It felt like time had been turned back to a wonderful era. Lots of history displayed on the walls. We had a wonderful stay.

We really liked the location and ghe beautiful ocean view. The parking was so convenient. Great king size bed... so comfy with a wonderful breakfast selection.

Good location and breakfast. Staff were helpful and kind. The hotel is a little older and there was no AC. The hotel provided fans and the rooms remained cool.
