Miantiantang really did not disappoint me. Although it is a bit far away, all the fatigue disappeared after coming here. My children like it very much. There are amusement facilities for children everywhere, and they also thoughtfully prepared game coins to catch dolls and exchange them for cotton. Sugar and ice cream. Although I didn’t see the stars in the Starry Sky Bubble House, I still experienced it. Taking a bath in the bathtub at night was comfortable and cozy. The service was very warm and considerate, full of details.

My guesthouse（The No.1 courtyard) is in Miyun Beijing. It is ten kilometers east of Gubei Water Town near Wuling mountain. The house covers an area of more than six hundred square meters. It is make up of front and back yard, a large communal living room and four loft upper and lower rooms.The house is perfect for four families to gather for a vacation or small team building, and can accommodate 15 to 20 people.There are areas for playing billiards and barbecue in the front yard, and our hot spring spa pool is also located there. The primitive Simatai wild Great Wall is around the guesthouse, which is very suitable for hiking and climbing.In summer, we have alpine canoe drifting around the guesthouse, which is very thrilling.Gubei Water Town is the only large scale scenic area in the northern region with the character of the south river.At night, the buildings and Simatai Great Wall in the scenic area will be lit up by lights, and drone performances will also be held.Wuling Mountain is the nearest natural reserve with primitive forest to Beijing, containing gorges, waterfalls, sea of clouds and breathtaking scenery.The No.2 courtyard has a super high cost performance and is of a completely different style. Needless to say, the transportation is very convenient. The highway is very convenient. It doesn't take long to get off the highway and drive along the winding mountain road. The interior is simple and spacious, and the equipment is basically complete, including gas stove, microwave oven, rice cooker, dishwasher, ice maker, refrigerator, karaoke, and super large TV. In short, everything that can be used is at hand. The barbecue equipment is also very complete, and there are special ovens for roasting whole lamb in large and small skewers. The bedroom is also very clean and comfortable. The sky is full of stars at night, and it is very quiet. There is a stream down the slope when you go out of the door, and the children can catch fish and tadpoles. There is also breakfast when you wake up the next day. The pickled vegetable shreds of the farmer's house with the perilla leaves grown by themselves have become a luxury for city people. It left a very good memory and I look forward to coming again in the future.

Comparatively speaking, this one is very cost-effective, much better than the ones in the scenic area! It is about 20 square meters in the scenic area, and this two-story hotel has a balcony! The price difference between the B&Bs in the scenic area is really too much, and the price difference is not as good as Just buy an annual pass for unlimited entry and exit.
(PS: You can bring as much food and drink as you can. After all, it is a commercial attraction, so it must be expensive. Nongfu Spring is 3 yuan, and Jägermeister is 168 yuan.)
By the way, self-driving friends can enjoy pick-up and drop-off by the boss car. Only one copy of the entire scenic spot, free)

This is a good budget option if you want to stay overnight near Gubei Watertown - but there are serious limitations. It was very confusing and quite stressful when we first arrived at the location provided - we couldn’t find the address given, but a local lady was very helpful and called the owners/managers for us and then a driver came to collect us. The address given is a meeting point, not the location of where you are actually staying. It was as we were driven to the 2 apartments (not rooms in an individual villa) that I realised we were not staying in or right at the Watertown as I thought we were. It was a 5-10 minute drive away. To be clear the managers were very friendly and always available on WeChat and the driver took us to and from the Watertown whenever we liked so that was fine - but it means you have to pay entry every time you enter the Watertown - which is expensive - so just take that cost into account. There also didn’t seem to be anywhere to eat at the apartment complex either but perhaps we couldn’t find it (it was a huge complex) so I recommend you eat before you go or take (especially breakfast) food with you. I booked two rooms with a view. One room had a GREAT view of the Great wall (photo included) and the other looked at nondescript trees and grass the other direction. Mainly I went on this special trip with my older parents to Gubei so it was disappointing that we weren’t really staying together in a villa - we were in a giant apartment building on separate floors.

It was simply amazing.
The room gives provides you a view of The Great Wall and it lokks even better under the night sky when it's all lit up. As an added bonus there is balcony where you can just sit and enjoy the view sipping coffe, reading a novel or even enjoying a meal.
The hotel is located near Wtown which is also a must go to place.
The bed is super comfy too.
The area surrounding the hotel is super nice too, very green, rather pretty.

After booking this place, tried to contact owner via WeChat with contact provided, but owner never added me until I needed to text in Chinese from my phone (using translator). When arrived to the location he sent me on a map, I received directions to find the apartment myself. We never once met the owner of the property. All conversations using Wechat were in Chinese (me using translator).
The little studio was clean when we arrived, but later at night was full of loud insects that we had to eliminate in order to sleep. The bed was very hard not comfortableat all. The kitchen was supposed to have everything available to make meals (at least was what I have read in previous reviews) but in reality had nothing, not even a spoon. It was a very simple place, a bit expensive for what you get.

I stayed 4 nights in this lovely apartment. It had a stunning view of the great wall from the little patio. The room is very spacious and comfortable. It even includes a refrigerator! The hostess was SUPER helpful in helping me find taxi drivers to different sections of The Great Wall. There was a shuttle driver to take me down to the Gubei Water Town or pick me up from the bus stop. Also, breakfast was delivered to my room each morning. I only gave 4 stars for location because I was dependent on the shuttle driver. Once you are at the apartment, you can't really go explore anything else. My overall experience was 10/10 and I would recommend!

If you come to Gubei Water Town to travel, I highly recommend this homestay. My friend recommended it to me. The price/performance ratio is really high. It is much more cost-effective than the price of the homestay in Water Town. The design of the room is also long in my aesthetics. The health situation also makes me particularly surprised. I have lived in many hotels and homestays before. I didn't expect their home to be so clean and the room size is right. The most important thing is that the large terrace can see the scenery and think about things, especially at night, it is too comfortable. The meal in the small garden below, the restaurant next to it is ready to send it directly, this experience is really perfect, must give a good review!

I found this hotel when looking for a place to stay near the wonderful, photogenic Jinshanling for the Great Wall. I was surprised that they did not have their own website. Checking in was not the easiest thing to do as they were not fluent in English, but we got through it. Location is FANTASTIC. It is literally like 50 meters from the gate to the Great Wall. I had planned to go shoot the Wall for sunset and then return for sunrise - no problem from here. Sunset was around 7:30pm and sunrise at 4:45am. I was so excited that I had no trouble getting out of bed to hike up to the Wall. I was amazed and impressed at the room/villa they had me in. Very nice! OK, there are probably cheaper places to stay, but they are not as convenient nor as luxurious, that's for sure! I was able to use my ticket to enter the Wall area the next morning, but I did not even pass anyone to show my ticket to. Jinshanling is truly a photogenic section of the wall and this Hotel is photogenic and located exactly where you want it to be.

AAnonymous UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Manxin Hotel. The room was very clean, although we did not need much help from the staff, everyone was very friendly and kind.
The location is amazing - walking distance to the center attractions (Forbidden City, National Museum, Tiananmen Square). Everything else you can reach by using Metro. The station is located within walking distance from the hotel. There are loads of food and shopping options at Wangfujing street, there is a food market at the metro station, as well as Beijing apm mall which we used a lot for food.
Great value, amazing location, we will be coming back!

JJulian PeensThis is a beautiful hotel situated in the mountainous region of Beijing. The surroundings and view from the hotel are breathtaking at sunset and weather was extremely good during our stay.
STAFF
The staff were amount the most helpful and friendly that I have encountered in China thus far and I have been here more than five years and traveled to many destinations. They do not speak English but are very ready to use a translation APP or WeChat to communicate. The staff are very accommodating and even took special requests regarding the menu.
FOOD
The food was very well prepared and tasted delicious. Their menu unfortunately does not have pictures and the translations may be tricky if you are not particularly familiar with Chinese cuisine. Nevertheless, the food that we at was fresh, tasty and of high quality. We were able to BBQ by ourselves by reserving it a day in advance. The staff will also help you BBQ if needed.
LOCATION
The hotel is situated far from the city and a sense of comfort can be experienced knowing that you have left the hustle and bustle of the city behind. However, make sure all amenities and personal effects that you may need are with you as you cannot get same day delivery services. There were some construction vehicles which made noise occasionally in the area but I would suspect this is temporary and will soon pass.
ROOM
The rooms are beautiful and we experiences no dysfunctional amenities in the bedroom. The linen on the beds were crisp and clean, the room was clean upon arrival and daily cleaning is offered. Overall cleanliness was very good. The washroom area is stocked with a loofa, toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, razor, hand towels, cups and reasonable space for personal toiletries too.
POOL AREA
The outdoor patio looks out onto the pool. The water was well maintained and some pool toys were provided by the hotel. The pool area could use some maintenance, for example, around the stairs there are a couple loose tiles on the stair face and some weeding around the footpath could be done. Other than this, the environment is completely mesmerising and leaves one completely relaxed. Calming music is played throughout the day at a low volume. At night, this area is well lit and the scenery beautiful.
BAR
The bar is well stocked with spirits but a slightly wider variety and maybe the addition of a drinks menu would definitely improve this.
ROOFTOP
The hotel has a rooftop deck perfect for sundowners and viewing the surrounding mountains. Tables and chairs are provided on the rooftop.

DdyhxMy first Orange Hotel stay and it's exceeded my expectations. Being a local chain known for its budget style, I was imagining Ibis type but it turned out much better. The hotel looks old from the outside but this being a newly opened one, everything inside looked clean and modern. Smart lifts where my room level is automatically detected once the card is scanned. I got a smart room that's controlled by Xiao Du小度 (their equivalent of Siri / Alexa). I had fun commanding Xiao Du to adjust the aircon temperature and switching on/off the TV, lights and even the curtains. They also have a food delivery robot and provide free self service laundry facilities. There's a small gym here which I didn't use. The room is a little small for 2 pax but more than comfortable for 1. The standing shower and toilet is separated and both of good size. The bed is firm and pillows comfy. Bottled water, mini fridge, tea bags are provided. Basic shower amenities are also provided, along with a pack of disposable toothbrush and comb at check in. I like the open wardrobe concept and they provide many hangers here including the clip ones. It's a rather basic hotel in general but certainly value for money. There are also quite some eateries along the street just a few mins walk from the hotel. I wouldn't mind staying here again the next time I visit.

The hotel's breakfast buffet offers a huge variety of cuisines ranging from Western delicacies to Chinese comfort food. The breakfast buffet opens from 7 - 10 AM.
The dinner buffet is a wonderful unforgettable luxury experience, serving hotpot, fresh Seafood and meat, and an ice cream station. The dinner buffet opens from 5:30 - 9:30 PM.
The room is very clean and looked new, the staffs are friendly and polite. Overall a wonderful experience, would definitely come back again.

Very friendly customer service even we want to take a taxi we have no app to order taxi the customer service help us to go out to the main road and help us stop a taxi and get us to airport. GGuest UserThis place is super convenient for family traveling with elderly and also toddler. It is well-equipped with washing and drying machine for laundry. The cooking hob & knob are provided too but there was no pots and pans provided in the unit for cooking. I didnt find out further if we are allowed to cook inside the unit but when i went to level B1 for coffees (free!) i saw there was anoher kitchen which is bigger that has pans and pots (but very limited, I only saw 1 pan). The plates provided in the unit are only 3 plates without any bowls, which is quite restricted when we dine in the unit by ordering food delivery. However, we managed it by using the food containers from our delivery. We did not approach the front desk to ask for more plates and bowls though. So i am not sure if they can provide.
The front receptionist who work during night time during our stay is more warm and friendly than the rest. There was a morning shift staff whom I have not met, but heard from my family, that she gave a cute keychain to my kid, which i feel is a very lovely gesture.
Having read that some taxis refused to drive into the hutong due to its small and narrow road has caused me concerns when i did the booking, but fortunately all the taxis we got managed to wait for us right outside our apartment. Meaning that all are willing to drive in.
There are bicycle returning spots right outside the apartment which makes it so convenient for us to return the bicycles we rented using the online platform.
Outside the hutong, there are shops like eateries which make it very convenient for us. We even took our brunch at ”men ji mi fan” which serves very good ”mi xian”(noodles) that i was looking forward to when i am visiting Beijing.
My kid and elderly mum really enjoyed the stay in the apartment. They even enjoy chatting with the lady who cleans our apartment as she is really friendly and warm. There are 2 bathrooms in our 2-bed unit which again makes it super convenient for us during our stay. My kid loves the apartment as if its her second home.
We like the coffee provided free at B1 as the fragrant is really as good as those at coffee shops. We visited B1 entertainment room for a few times and chill there for a short while. There is a pool table and a gym room right next to it.
The stay is very peaceful and quiet throughout our 1 week stay. Reception and security guard are there 24 hours. There is even a postage room that keeps all our online shopping parcels which makes it very convenient to shop.
I gave only 4/5 for facilities due to shortage of cooking utensils/bowls in our unit. But other than that, there is nothing else that is short of our expectations.

AAH 86I had a wonderful stay with my little one.
The staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived and so patient when I had an issue checking in.
My daughter also took part in a cake decorating class during our stay and she thoroughly enjoyed.
The pool was quite large for hotels in Beijing, and the gym met needs.
Yael on the front desk, Andy for in room dining, Paolo and the team at Dacappo restaurant made our stay comfortable down to the last detail. The breakfast had enough choice, and the in-room dining portions were generous.
We will be recommending to friends, but will also come back again 😃

TTess BeijingVery dated for a 5* Hotel, especially the TV. Didn't feel like a 5* hotel compared to others we have stayed at in Beijing.
Highlight was the bath. The aircon did not work properly and was a very uncomfortable stay with it being too hot in the room.
Don't think we would stay again.

AAnonymous UserAircon didn't work, have to suffer in a stuffy environment for 3 days. Was told that the aircon system broke down for awhile and they didn't fix it. No daily clean up service provided, items in the room were not changed although cleaning was provided. No solution to the problem was provided by the hotel, had to do everything by yourself. Location was good 3 mins from the subway although entering the street can be troublesome as there is a security counter at the entrance of street and had to use passport to enter.
