WelcomHeritage Shivavilas Palace, Hampi

THE BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD TILL DATE. it all started with my family needing a room in the middle of night due to long weekend (not my fault). Thanks to Sameer who was able to accommodate my family at such a short notice in the Maharani suite at a great rate. This property is truly majestic! no amount of words are enough. The suite which is also their highest priced but it comes with the value for money. A living room with a king side bed, enough space to host a party and a smaller room with a queen size bed as well as a separate dressing up area, definitely made for a MAHARANI (queen). The property itself is huge and feels like a small world in the middle of Karnataka. The hotel has a vintage car museum which fascinated me, a swimming pool, gym, spa and a great in house restaurant. The food! alright so I am professionally a chef and I do not enjoy restaurant style food anymore as it is often accentuated and that is exactly the part I loved about this place. Great food that tastes like it was made at home, comforting, pleasing just right and very fairly priced. Just wow! Other than above mentioned things the most important part to me was that this place only has 12 rooms and yet we got lucky, it truly is serene and quiet. There were times when I felt that the palace was left truly to us. Having our privacy and yet having someone to assist us, that is the mark of true luxury and outstanding Hospitality. special thanks to Lokesh, Joseph and Vishwajeet, biswa Karan (pardon me if I misspelled anyone's name) and anyone who's name I do not recall, each single person is worth thank for. see attached pictures. Hyatt Place Hampi
3.9/547 Reviews
We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the many historical sites in Hampi which are about an hour away from this hotel. Hyatt Place is located in Vidyanagar Township which is dominated by a very large JSW steel works and as a result and from time to time there will be noise from the railway line supplying the factory - not intrusive but horns and the rumble from a long train of wagons can be heard in the room – also the roads around the hotel are coated in red oxide as a result of the industrial processes Hyatt Place is modern hotel with little character – and once inside it gives you the feeling of being anywhere from its large lobby to the bedrooms themselves. Check-in was laboured as much documentation was required including our visa that had allowed us into the country. We were allocated room 137 – a king room with breakfast - at the end of corridor – because of the unusual levels in the hotel it is one floor below reception – access up and down by flights of stairs as we never found a lift or had one pointed out to us. The room looks out into quadrangle made up of a large water feature with open walkways above. It is a large room - king sized bed - lamps and bedside tables - sofa - desk and chair - flatscreen tv on top of unit enclosing fridge but at right angles to bed - corridor with wardrobe - suitcase storage with drawers underneath - bathroom compact - large walk-in shower with rainforest head - AC - Wi-Fi average – floor to ceiling windows with door that opened onto a an area in front of the water – no outside chairs Not a bad room but very much an anywhere room - floor creaked where laminate has shrunk. On the way to dinner my wife slipped off a step and landed heavily on her left ankle - immediate help from reception - water supplied and a spray - after a while we hobbled to dinner…. luckily only heavy bruising – but the lighting in that area was deceptive We ate a few meals in the dining room – food not bad and well-priced as was the beer – but something was lacking – a distinct lack of menus for the a la carte – appeared to be restricted to one per table if you could find one - service often slow and laboured despite the number of staff – plus the fact that most people were serving themselves at the buffet - tables not cleared – breakfast orders similarly slow – staff generally not engaging It was the same with our room – we returned at 3 in the afternoon only to find it not made up and it was after 4 when it was cleaned. This is a convenient hotel that I don’t think reflects the Hyatt brand – it is not India – either in design or service – I think it is a business hotel because of the nearby steelworks – so really not for the tourist like me – shame – thank you.
Royal Orchid Central Kireeti-Hampi Hospet

Royal orchid Hampi doesn’t fail to please one especially from hospitality standpoint. Shubajit was very attentive and sweet to tend to all our needs and demands. He recommended good food and ensured that it was as per our requirements. Ganesh too was very helpful with his recommendations. Overall very pleased with the restaurants service.
Clarks Inn Hampi

The hotel is located at such a place that all the major monuments are at a stone throw away. The staff is very well-mannered and courteous, be it the front office staff or the restaurant staff. Special mention to Zahid who went over and above our expectation and helped us anytime we needed. I will personally recommend this place to everyone.
