I want to hear the truth and look down. The location is really good, 128 bus directly from the airport can point to the hotel. Not far from connecting the subway in all directions. Breakfast is indeed good. But still advise you not to live, haha 1. The whole hotel did not have air conditioning in the summer, I experienced the window in the house is broken, can not open, but the front desk smiled to tell you that no room can let you change, you can only endure 30 degrees, then change for you tomorrow, love you! 2. The Berlin Airport is not far from the city, and the hotel is not far from the airport, so if you don't want to sleep, you can count up and down every tenth of the plane. Anyway, when you see the plane, the others in the room are not very clear about you. 3. Under the hotel is a nightclub. If your room is close, then you can fall asleep at 4 in the morning. Of course, you don't care! If you ask me if European tourists are not living well? Haha, I tell you that their lifestyle is different from us, so they can bear it. I have lived in Europe for some years, believe me!

the room was nice, the receptionists were nice and the location was nice, but they didnt bother restocking the handsoap and breakfast was a small tragedy
overall, definitely not a bad experience but a bit underwhelming considering the price tag

Express Hotel All room specifications are the same. Breakfast is normal. Those in normal European hotels are slightly simple. Nothing in the room. You need to prepare yourself. The nearest subway station walks for ten minutes. If you go to travel, it is not convenient to take the subway. The subway is a little longer. The surrounding environment is still quiet. It is not the place where the Chinese are getting together. There is an ice cream shop opposite the hotel. 1.2 Euro is delicious. There is also a outside. The atmosphere of the restaurant that eats the steak is very good. Below is the photo of the restaurant. It’s okay to stroll to the subway station. There is a supermarket. You can also go to the subway bus because Berlin’s public transportation is particularly difficult.

I decided to stay in Berlin in a hurry to change destinations, I was looking for a cheap room as possible, and the review of this dormitory was good, so I stayed. It's been 7 years since I stayed in a dormitory. Stayed for 2 nights. When we arrived in a mixed room of 8 men and women, there was only one man. After all, the first night was 4 people and the second night was 6 people. A € 5 deposit is required in addition to the room charge. Lockers are free, but a € 15 deposit is required. Lockers are not asked at check-in and must be communicated to the front desk if necessary. The room was clean and the reviews were high, but certainly not dirty but thought it was normal. But it seems that they are being cleaned every day because a cleaning person came. The room was spacious, so it was four bunk beds, but I was able to spend so much without worrying about others. Both toilet and shower could be used without encountering anyone. No particular trouble happened. In addition, we thought whether we could use when we had to stay cheaply.

It is within walking distance of the center of Berlin (Unter den Linden), and the subway and tram stations are a 5-minute walk away. It takes less than an hour to get to the airport, so the access is excellent and very convenient. I really liked that each room had a toilet and shower. Other than that, it seemed to be no different from other hostels in the same chain. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so you may have to walk, but there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets if you walk a little, so you won't have any trouble.

Located in central of Berlin, this is probably the tallest hotel in town. They have a really nice view over the city. Very convenient with metro and all the restaurants and shops around.
Rooms are clean but if you live high up, it’s hard to get mobile signal. Wifi doesn’t work so well when a lot of people are using it.
One of the biggest issue if you live higher than 20th floor, the elevator won’t stop at your floor for so long. Not sure how the elevators work, you may have to wait 10 mins for getting down to lobby at busy hours (etc lunch/ dinner hour)
Check in was easy and quick, and staff is friendly also.

Firstly, may I say that the room was large, airy and well equipped, the bathroom had both a shower and a bath, the bed was comfortable, if a little soft, we had a good night’s sleep, and the floor was generally quiet. The main point of this review is to comment on the poor level of housekeeping, and not what I would expect of an Accor hotel. On each day of our stay, there was always an item or two not replenished by housekeeping. Day one, Friday: arrival, the hand soap dispenser in the toilet was empty. Day two, Saturday: toilet hand soap still empty. Day three, Sunday, toilet hand soap still empty, cotton shower/bath mat, used one taken away, not replaced. By this time I’d lost faith in the toilet hand soap ever being replenished so spoke to reception who gave me a ‘stand-alone’ replacement. Day four, Monday: used hand towels taken away, not replaced, another visit to reception to get the towels, we also told them of the previous days ‘not replaced items. Day five, Tuesday, felt assured that after previous day’s visit to reception that all would be OK, alas not the case! This time, the coffee was not replaced. Add to this, upon our arrival, the handyman was fixing the toilet, it was constantly flushing/running. On returning to the hotel on Sunday, approximately 8.30 PM after a long day out, the toilet was constantly flushing/running again, upon reporting this to reception, we were told that the handyman had gone home, we explained that wasn’t our problem, the running water in the toilet was! A member of staff did resolve the issue, but this could only have happened when the housekeeper cleaned the room. Surely it was their responsibility to report this and get it sorted when the handyman was at work? On their own, these may seem trivial, but as each day passes, they mount up and ****** away, one item on their own is forgetfulness, add them together, it’s very tardy, and not what I would expect from a brand such as Accor, Novotel. This was the first time I’d stayed in a Novotel Suites, despite being a regular Accor customer and I’d like to add my expectations. The room was advertised as having a microwave, to this end, I expected there to be some plates and cutlery, ideally ceramic plates and metal cutlery, but at least disposable ones. When we discovered none on arrival, I went to reception and to ask for some, the gentleman who I asked appeared to be surprised that there was none. However, they were never replaced, we always had to ask for them. May I suggest that when offering these rooms, disposable plates and cutlery are placed in the room as a matter of course and are replaced if used. A final note, I would have preferred to keep this between myself and the hotel manager, I have emailed him/her but to this date, I’ve not had a reply.

I went to this hotel for a mid-week vacation with my lovely daughter. With an UBER it was about 10 Euro to get to the hotel. Check-in was smooth, the older man behind the desk wasnt overly friendly but rather efficient and that was fine. We paid the tourist-tax and got one room-key for our room. We paid online about 80 Euro a night and we got a room with three beds at the back. The room was clean and simple. A desk with a big-screen TV, a shower-room with a toilet and a wash-basin. The shower was ok but we didnt like the shower-curtains. Also the water would be warm for about five minutes but it didnt bother us. Everyday cleaning with new linen and towels. In the morning you can have breakfast but you have to pay for it. We didnt use it. The hotel is set conveniently in the middle of Berlin near Kurfurstenstrasse and Dam. Near the U-Bahn and busses.

It's great that there is now the IntercityHotel next to the Steigenberger directly at the terminal 1/2 of the BER. It was opened only mid January 2023. The rooms are modern, practical and chic, like the most new or renovated Intercity Hotels. The staff is very friendly and engaged, some processes must certainly engage in a new team. You are just a few minutes walking distance from the terminal at the check-in, as well as at the airport train station with remote, regional and S-rail transport. Breakfast is available from 6:00 a.m., the light is available in the restaurant, there is a variety of breakfast offer. After my not so great stay in the nearby Steigenberger, the IntercityHotel Airport BER is recommended. I just hope guests will not confuse it too often with the IntercityHotel at the Schönefeld train station, the names of the two hotels is certainly not so great.

GGuest UserGood hotel, not really central but with good public communcations just outside. Good enough breakfast, good rooms. The opening times for de the bar and restaurant is a bit short, probably because of covid. The Garage is reasonably priced and feels safe.
AAMAR ANWARLocation
Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside.
Room
Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom.
Bedroom
Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed.
Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough.
The room is large and clean.
The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS
There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice.
The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big.
Bathroom
Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker
Kitchen
So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful.
Laundry
The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building.
Breakfast
The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple
It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask.
Gym and Sauna
Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room.
Service.
We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told.
But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours
The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

NEGATIVES
- Room can be a little more spacious

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the pool was closed and the sauna was required to login and the sauna area was able to use just 1 hour. The opening hours of the sauna from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekends are absolutely unacceptable for such a luxury hotel. We were very angry about it. When booking we have not received any information about the time in the spa is so regulated and it is completely closed in the pool area. At the reception, we received information that the pool was closed due to energy saving measures and also lacked staff. We believe that then the overnight prices must be adjusted accordingly if a significant part of the services cannot be provided. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our stay as we intended!
AAnonymous UserOverall I like this hotel. However the service by 1 rude receptionist should be improved. check in experience was ruined by lady receptionist.
Service at reception
The full payment including city taxes have been paid via my credit card upon booking. The payments paid and breakdown including city taxes are stated very clearly on the booking voucher. However despite this, I was asked to pay a deposit of amount close to Euro 600 which was the full amount of my stay that was paid using my credit card. Upon asking, I asked the trainee/Lena why I have to pay so much again when I had paid the full amount via credit card.
Lena then checked with the another lady receptionist on the deposit that should be secured. However, this lady receptionist informed us to pay a deposit of euro 50 which I have no issue. However, she rudely informed me that I have to pay city tax. I told her that it has been paid and I showed her the booking voucher which clearly shows that city taxes have been paid. But she informed rudely that the amount was charged in other currency, not Euro. Seriously, when I heard this, I was shocked with the “intelligence” of this lady receptionist. She needs to be educated on what is “foreign currency equivalent” and to have some common sense. I disputed this and insisted that i had paid the full amount including city taxes, which was stated very clearly on the booking voucher. Lena agreed with me and reiterated to this lady receptionist that the booking voucher indeed stated that all payments including city taxes have been paid. Thereafter, the lady receptionist left rudely without any apologies.
The receptionists should be trained and their service should be improved. Firstly, they should have checked that I have fully paid and should not secure a a deposit of almost euro 600. Only when I asked, they rechecked, but no apologies. Secondly, even after they rechecked, they did not check clearly that city taxes have been paid and insisted me to pay city taxes. No apologies either when they found out. The service from the lady receptionist (shorter girl with curly hair) was so rude and no apologies even though she was wrong in the first place.
I highlighted this issue and feedback to the shiftleader, Andreas Levi and made known to him about the receptionists. He immediately went to check and confirmed that all payments including city taxes have been paid earlier via credit card. Thanks Andreas Levi for checking and making our stay better.
Bed
Not sure why some beds have comforters/topper while some beds without. The beds with comforters are so comfy! Our bed without comforters.
Breakfast
For Europe’s standard, I think the breakfast in this hotel is considered good. With few hot food such as overcooked bacon, overcooked sausage, baked bean, and eggs. The omelette is nice (thanks to the chef!) Some selections of bread, lots of choices of good quality teas. Few selections of juices. Coffee machine. Fresh honey comb.
Complementary water
It is odd that complimentary water is only provided to the guests for the first night despite I stay 3 nights. This is the first time I experience this in Europe. Perhaps guest should make different booking for each night.
Proximity to trains and attractions
Close proximity to train stations and some main attractions.
Summary
Overall service was good (except for 1 rude lady receptionist). I will still recommend this hotel. Take the breakfast.
RRichard panThe service attitude is very good. The room is clean and hygienic. Even if it is not the check-in time after arriving, I can check in in time according to the room condition. The front desk also gives me cookies. I am very satisfied.
I’m not used to eating breakfast, but the various breads are really good
GGuest UserThe location of Hilton Berlin is fantastic and the exterior of the hotel plus the lobby is very beautiful. Very walkable location with many surrounding dining and sightseeing options. Overall, housekeeping was good. The rooms run fairly small and look dated, so value for money is not that great. Bathroom is clean but not very well-maintained, especially the toilet. The check-in concierge staff were ok but I would expect friendlier and more proactive service for the price we were paying and being a diamond member as well. The staff who was a blonde lady with glasses checked me in and out and was the friendliest staff i encountered during my stay. Rarely did the other staff smile or greet us when we walked past them and they generally did not have great customer service skills, and generally just unfriendly. The front door concierge and door staff were much friendlier and greeted us more than the check-in staff. I also had a very terrible experience with the night security staff when my friend and I came back to the hotel around 6 am after a night out. We walked in and were stopped by a man who was not wearing any uniform, or any attire to signal he was working at the Hilton, and in regular clothes, he was a bit hard to understand because he had a thick accent, and I thought he might be another patron at the hotel or a taxi driver, so I politely smiled at him and said “no thank you” and walked towards the elevator. He got extremely angry, began shouting at me, and said he was a worker there and showed me his keys with a Hilton keychain. He wanted to verify that we had a room key. While we were taking out the key, he was calling me rude and dismissive and that I was a terrible person. It was so jarring because there was no need to be that rude, he was acting like I shooed him away when I’m reality it was a miscommunication. He then went into the back of the concierge to complain about me loudly, didn’t even wait till I was out of earshot. It was hard to identify him as a staff, much less security, and I didn’t need to be scolded like a child. Overall, very unprofessional and made the remainder of my stay feel much more sour. I can look past the dated rooms because I know that is out of the staff’s control at that point of time. But unprofessional and unfriendly staff make the value of my stay and diamond member status much worse.
GGuest UserLocation is a little far out depending on what sights you wish to see. However, the city has amazing initiatives such as bikes, scooters and mopeds which you can rent for a low price to get around the city. Easy to make an account and start travelling around on either, often they are nearby the hotel. Obviously they have great transportation links like bus, tram and train too. The Warschnauzer StraB is the closest train station to the hotel which is around a 15 minute walk so super convenient, although we found the train maps a little tricky to understand so heavily relied on Google Maps to tell us which trains to use.
The service and cleanliness of the hotel is great, we had no issues what so ever. Overall, the towels, bedding, bathroom and bedroom was spotless. Nothing to complain or comment on negatively. We didn’t use room service, the continental breakfast additional option or bar downstairs so unable to comment on those. But staff are very friendly and helpful.
Amenities are fab, the fitness centre has a gym which is larger than most hotel gyms, super handy with plenty of variety of machines. Like a downside commercial gym with generic machines. Handy free shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps and shower gel in large containers. Again, this is the only amenities we used so unable to comment on other things.
Overall lovely very quirky hotel with lots of charm. Would certainly recommend to others as we are very happy with our stay and would be happy to stay at other Nhows.
GGuest UserThis is great if you stay in Berlin for a few days. It’s good that public transport is right outside the hostel. It’s a bit far from the main city so you will have to get a few public transport to get there. The beds are squeaky but comfortable enough. The television is in German which is expected. There is no rooms with a shower or toilet in them, so you will have to walk to the shower and toilet. It is a shared bathroom. You will need to give separate deposit if you need towels and utensils and to wash and dry your clothes. The deposit can only be made in cash. There are no bins in the room but the rooms do have a fridge and a locker and a table and chairs. The hostel is great for sleeping and then leaving the next day to do activities.
