Older hotel facilities, a sense of vicissitudes, good food quality

Trip is awesome they got me my room when this hotel tried to tell me they were sold out of rooms and couldn’t accommodate me even though I had a reservation there and had already paid. Trip.com come through and got my room and spoke with the manager and they “found” a room for me.

The hotel is only a short way from the San Antonio airport by bus or taxi. Staff were great and allowed us to check in early at no extra charge. Room was very comfortable although the ergonomics were a bit odd with the television at right angles to the bed! Other than, we had no issues with our stay. Most restaurants are within a 20 minute walk including a seafood, steakhouse, and a Cracker Barrel. Unfortunately, we were not able to avail ourselves of the complimentary breakfast due to our very early flight. Would definitely stay here again if I need to be near San Antonio airport.

If I could give place a 0 rating I DEFINITELY would do so. 1. You can't tell who's working versus who's staying there as the employees are wearing street clothes and no name tags. 2. Hannah at the front desk was TERRIBLE and I'll leave it right there! 3. If I didn't see a cleaning crew, I'd NEVER know they existed. We were there 4 days and 3 nights without our room being cleaned even after requesting to have it done with members at the front desk. 4. The first night our room 402 had NO HOT WATER. As ridiculous as it was, I had to ask to be moved to a room with hot water. Needless to say, our family had to repack and move to our new room 446. Front desk HANNAH told me that maintenance was working on it, however at 30 minutes of waiting for her return call, I was advised thay she'd left for the day. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! 5. We had to get our own towels from the front desk, we'd run out of toilet paper, Kleenex, soap, shampoo & conditioner, was forced to have a build up of trash throughout our stay in out the extremely lackluster cleaning team. 6. We felt like we were roughing it in the wilderness and staying in wilderness would have a heck of lot better for FAR LESS than it cost to stay here. 7. It was so bad that I'd left voice-mails for BOTH the Assistant General Manager/Rosalyn and General Manager Christian to share my disdain. 8. AfternHannah yeld at me for asking to speak to either of them, she said they weren't on property and to call back at 10a the next day. Id refised to wait. She'd placed on hold for 25 minutes then hung up on me. PATHETIC!!!!! Lastly, pets are allowed in the pool area, BUT smoking isn't eventhough there is a trashcan stating to please place ashes and buts in here. WOW! My husband has emphatically advised me to NEVER book this hotel again, and thay goes without say. I would recommend this place to an enemy let alone family or friends. I'm anxiously awaiting Rosalyn and Christian's response to my voice-mail. I'll write an update to this review.

The rooms were great. We were able to get adjoining rooms . Room location was convenient to the many amenities that are available. The lazy river was fun and refreshing. The Spa treatments were outstanding. The valet service was a little slow, but it was nearly 100 degrees and the parking requires walking back uphill.

Nicely remodeled hotel with a very accommodating and friendly staff. Great location with easy access to all points in San Antonio. Breakfast in the Concierge Lounge is great and chatting with Frances, the world’s finest Concierge host, will start your day out with a big smile on your face! Highly recommended this Marriott property!

Great location with easy access to a variety of medical clinics nearby. Check In was friendly, and easy, and early! Nice staff! Our room is large, and the layout is very nice. The bed and linens are fine. Things less favorable include: very low toilet (15”?), no clock radio (clock is on the microwave), Wi-Fi very slow, per speed test, (9 mps for both upload and download speeds), no lotion (we carry an extra little bar since we haven’t yet converted to the large bottles attached to the shower wall), and finally, the desk chair is in very poor condition, and is more like a rocking chair! Again, the staff was great, and the room was clean and spacious.
