There is a kitchen available and the living room is very spacious. It feels like living in your own home. The only pity is that there is no elevator and you need to carry luggage on the second floor🤣 But generally speaking, it is highly recommended. There is also a curry pork chop rice restaurant nearby that is very delicious😋👍

It was behind BIE station and it was close and nice !! The room was comfortable and the bed sheets and toilets were clean :) The most important thing is that the atmosphere is also very good. Even when I wake up in the morning, it's very quiet and good!! I want to come again~*^*

I normally don’t do places with shared bathrooms by this was the most conveniently located accommodation near the train station. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by how new it was and that breakfast was offered. I really enjoyed my stay and the English speaking staff. It is simple and the rooms are tight but it is worth it if you’re just trying to see the fields or the famous aoi ike/ blue pond. There is a bus nearby that will go by the pond and other sites. However the schedule is aggressive (only 15 minutes at the pond before the next bus leaves) so I suggest taking a taxi. They charge 7000 yen for 1.5 hours or 9500 for 2 hours since it takes a while to get there and back. Most taxis in town have this course that you can choose from.

The room is relatively simple and plain, but the hot spring from Daisetsu Mountain attached to the hotel has clear and pure water, which is smooth and delicate after washing.

The variety was adequate, though there is room for improvement in terms of the selection offered. One of the highlights of our stay was waking up to the sounds of nature and the gentle breeze. The hotel's location is perfect for those looking to trek, hike, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of Daisetsuzan National Park. Overall, Higashikawa Asahidake Onsen Hotel Bear Monte offers a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the area, with spacious rooms, thoughtful amenities, and a prime location near key attractions. Excellent stay, the room was smaller than I expected but there were so many things to do outside the room it didn't bother us. 3 different private onsen and free popsicles. Dinner was Italian pasta at first but when I told the front desk that we don't fancy pasta and can't take it for the 3 dinners included in the stay, one staff kindly agreed to speak to the kitchen and offered us pizza instead. Thank you for her kindness. An earlier staff told us no change was possible and we were quite upset as we didn't expect to be eating Italian when visiting Japan. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the onsen and scenery. The staffs were really kind to consider our feedback.

Excellent location and breakfast buffet. The universal twin bedroom is a bit small and facing the wall of building across but is functional clean and well maintained. The front desk staff are friendly but can’t communicate in English. We had to use Google translate. Parking across the hotel is 800 yen for 24 hours so would recommend. Beddings are comfortable and room is clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet with sashimi hot dishes and ice cream is such a delight and is the selling point of this hotel. Overall we are very pleased with what paid for as now is non peak season.

I’m very surprised by the relatively low rating of this hotel. We had a very good experience here, and found the room to be spacious and comfortable (though fairly typical old-school Japanese hotel). Service was good overall and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the best part of Asahikawa, near the main train station and the very cool and fun shopping street. The hotel also has an outdoor parking lot located immediately behind the hotel. Our only hiccup was that we arrived slightly before the 1500 check in time (we arrived at 1440) and were told we had to wait until exactly 1500 to check in. This is Japan and I appreciate being a stickler for the rules, but sometimes good customer service is about making calculated exceptions. Maybe next time. We would certainly recommend this place to others.

Jinkiskan Daikokuya and Izakaya Tenkin are all within walking distance... It seems like a suitable accommodation to go to Asahidake or Blue Lake Whitebeard Falls... Of course, the staff are friendly... I can't eat the late-night ramen provided by the hotel... There are good restaurants around. There's so much of it that my stomach hurts when I go to the hotel. I tried it one day and it's not bad. It's Soyu Ramen. I recommend the open-air bath and hot spring on the 10th floor.
