My daughter and I had a wonderful stay here at The Ocean Bay Hotel located on the promenade nearer South Shore within walking distance to the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle Waterpark. Our double room was clean and comfortable with a sea view. Breakfast amenities were ample as was free parking out front. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. I would highly recommend this location if your looking for a family friendly hotel located in a quieter location of town.

Three of us stayed here and were greeted by Elaine the owner who was lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for her. The room was basic but everything you needed and lovely and clean with comfortable beds. A 5 minute walk to South pier and the pleasure beach. The only downside was they didn't do breakfasts but there are plenty of cafes within a five minute walk. I highly recommended this hotel.

We stayed for a weekend in October, Craig and Julie were fabulous hosts, friendly, helpful and informative. Our room was very warm, very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had a nice drinks tray with complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water available. Hairdryer was provided in room, shower gel, shower cap, soap, tissues etc An iron and ironing board is available. There is a nice seating area in the foyer and honesty bar available. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of options available, the homemade lemon marmalade was delicious. Plenty of on street, free parking available, trams run from the top of the street, buy online tickets via the tram app for the cheapest deals. You could not fault our stay here and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely, comfortable stay. Not for the party crowd.

I really like this hotel, staff are brilliant and the full bottom of bottom is great. That’s where it does end though. House keeping continuously make the same errors that I have first hand found 3 years in a row. Dirty urine and blood stained bedding. Smelly and dirty stained towels being left. Areas within room not cleaned down between stays. Basic bed change and bathroom clean however wiping all surfaces and dusting etc isn’t always done. This could be improved by house keeping inspections. I was so disappointed that I returned after a bad experience on the promise of a return for 50% cost due to issues encountered last year to find the same issues we faced again. My children left urine and blood stained duvets and pillows with the covers. Disgusting. Well over an hour to be brought more , 3 children waiting to sleep whilst I am informed the staff member was sent on a wild goose chase to locate bedding - unsure of this but thanked the staff member as it’s not front reception staff fault at the end of the day. The view and location are great but without clean rooms and bedding not even a free stay is worth considering.

We stayed at The Novello for 3nights this week for the October half term and what lovely owners run this little gem of a B&B. Very close for tower,sandcastle and much much more. The room was lovely with plenty of room for my daughter to play in everything was clean including the bedding and towels,there was a hairdryer in draw and also soap and shampoo in bathroom too,it was lovely and quiet at night and good decent beds too with feather pillows, didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that there was tea&coffee making facilities in room to use it was also lovely and warm turned radiators off and on as we pleased and also FREE fast WiFi in all rooms too plus an added bonus was my little girl went for FREE too so very cheap 3day break away Thankyou Novello 👏👍 we will be back again soon 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Accommodated early evening no problem. Advised us where to park arround back. Alton helped with bags and showed us to first floor twin pine beds. Tea n coffee facilities. Ensuite shower toilet and sink with sliding door. Alittle dated but clean and comfortable. Provided extension lead for us. Slept well. Tv in room. Alton provided full English breakfast all tasty and to our liking. There is a bar if fancy a drink. Very friendly.
