The Beckwood Hotel

Nice little hotel, nothing fancy, basic room with ensuite but it was clean and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. This is a Budget Accommodation, so no frills but Mike and Nick only took over in April and they're working very hard to bring it up to scratch. Very friendly and helpful, no problem letting us book in early, approachable and easy going. If you're on a budget or just looking for a low cost room near to Pleasure Beach, with friendly staff , then this is a good place to stay.

Nothing much to say really, smelt of **** in the corridors, needs alot of work doing to it. The bar area and social room was not in use as it was full of mess due to decorating. Bed room door didnt shut proper was shakey. The room was very tatty curtains didnt even cover the window the bed didnt go back to the wall so pillow kept falling, tv come off the wall. Also it says if you have any problems call this number we did call the number 5 times as we was locked out of the main door in the early hours. We had to bang on windown and unfortunatly wake someone up that was staying there so we wasnt left out on the street. I think it needs alot of work doing to this bnb wouldnt stay again

This guest house is under new management. The 2 guys running it are very friendly and helpful, they have only been here just over a month and are really starting to put their own stamp on the place. This guest house is in great locationo ly a 2 minute walk from pleasure beach and sandcastles water park. 25 mins from the Blackpool tower. It even has a free pool table. Room was clean and comfy enough and a great base to enjoy all Blackpool has to offer. We will definitely be returning.

Great place, fabulous new managers. Most reviews do not reflect the palce. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is right by the South shore and South pear. 2 minutes walk from the Pleasure Beach. For the price it's great value for money. All the Karen's with the bad reviews remember if you go to pound bakery you don't get a Greg's pasty. Keep up the good work.

beds are horrendous, you can feel every spring, rooms are not the cleanest, very out dated and poorly decorated! en suite is a tiny shower, sink that is holding onto the wall by coincidence , no lock on the door the only good thing is the staff are friendly and its close to the pleasure beach

Wipe your feet on the way out ..smells of sour milk had to leave windows open for fresh air ..floor boards broken & Carpets stained ,beds ripped & filthy marks all over material..a crack den probably cleaner ..don't waste your money staying here

As previous reviews have stated this place Is well by its sell by date.rooms atrocious and dirty. Leaks in ceiling. All in all very poor took my sone for weekend away wish I had checked first we made the best of a very bad situation. Please dont believe the amenities or parking there are none. No games room televisions dont work there was a kettle in room that I would not use and even if I did no cups anyway. Just putting this on as I dont want anyone to make the same mistake I did....avoid at all cost.

Where to begin. This place is well past its former glory. It was so bad that it was funny! All sorts of issues here including broken window handles, leaking roof, sink coming off of wall, various light fittings broken or no bulb in, TV’s not working or no remote, lack of good quality furnishings, uncomfortable beds. Cleanliness was also questionable. The lady manager seemed to have to do everything hence why some things just didn’t happen! She tries but is fighting against the tide. This place and the connecting b&b next door need major refurbishment to get them to some sort of standard but it seems the owner is happy to hire a blind painter to throw paint over the walls instead!

I would like to give a massive thank you to John and Mandi for welcoming me and my partner to the beckwood hotel I suffer with autism and have mental health issues and have never felt so welcome and excepted like John and Mandi have made me feel they are the best hotel managers I have ever seen run a hotel in my life I have the up most respect for both of them the warm welcome when we arrived made me feel on top of the world they cater for mine and my partner's needs they accept me for who I am and let me be me and no one has ever made me feel that way anywhere I Have stayed the rooms are top notch beds are so bouncy and comfortable the first morning I woke up I didnt want to get out of bed the showers are so powerful and hot plenty of space to move around in the room I also found out the day we arrived they had only took over the hotel two days ago when we arrived day and night I have seen them work so hard to make sure everyone is happy in there hotel and the work they have done in so little time is absolutely amazing I couldn't be happier to have stayed in there hotel I will be recommending the beckwood hotel tonyone that I know coming to stay in Blackpool I will certainly be staying here everytime I come to Blackpool I really do wish John and Mandi all the best and to keep up all the fabulous work they deveryday to make sure everything is kept on top of many thanks for making me feel on top of the world I may be leaving but I can assure you it won't be long till I'm back Keep those drinks flowing in your beautiful bsr and Keep all the smiles coming best if luck I'll see you soon much love to you both you have made me as an autistic person so happy I literally couldn't of wanted more
