I stayed here as a solo traveller for two nights. I felt very safe and secure. Reception is on the first floor, so you have to be buzzed into the hotel by reception staff. The room was an excellent size and in decent state. The tea/coffee facilities were hidden away in a cupboard, keeping the surface areas free for my stuff. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. You can have continental or a cooked English breakfast. And there’s a good view of the pitch if you sit in the right spot. The staff were really helpful and friendly, both on reception and at breakfast. I loved the black & white pics of Blackpool all over the place. Floor one can get a bit noisy when the players/ staff are in the gym. The shower is over the bath, not ideal if you’ve got mobility issues, but they may have other options available. The car park isn’t huge, but there are loads of pay & display spaces nearby at a similar price. There’s a bus stop about 100yds away. The bus will take you direct to the zoo. There are also plenty of convenience stores and a Lidl within 300yds, if you need them. The walk to the sea front is flat and easy to navigate.
