The President Hotel

I booked 4 nights with my 13 year old son, fair to say i wont be in a hurry to book again, we arrived. its about 8-10mins tram ride from pleasure beach tram stop, location is terrible if your going for the hustle and bustle of blackpool and to really get a feel of the place, this hotel is not the one. check in was very easy the guy was nice and friendly, we arrived at around 10pm, got to our room no bin no towels and defo no heating as advertised. was freezing. soon sorted the towels the dude at reception kindly got us some. and a battery for the remote. sleep was terrible the floor boards in the room above was squeeking everytime someone moved. i guess thats what comes with old buildings but come on if your a light sleeper being woken up 3/4 times in the night is a pain in the rear end.. door hinge outside the room needs abit of wd40 too. we didn't book breakfast or dinner i know where to eat in Blackpool homely dinners is what i wanted. we went down to chill in the sun lounge not a socket that worked in sight very dusty and unclean. needs a lot of TLC £3.50 for a pot of coffee... never tasted something so ropey in all my life...maybe need to change the maxwell house coffee to something more enjoyable, a bit of Kenco wouldn't hurt. There was cabaret shows every night but didn't know this till late in day 2. drink prices are reasonable.. very dog friendly i see lots, heard lots too. its advertised on here as a 3 star but its defo a 2 star as stated on their website, i see pics of a swimming pool and gym when booking and flicking through the hotel pics here and i found no pool and no gym its in fact at a hotel close by. The whole Hotel needs some TLC we checked out a day early as i actually wanted to sleep before travelling back to london.

Overall this hotel was nice great location, also on the the beach, good transport and easy to walk to town centre, good facilities, only flaw was it was our first visit to the hotel and I booked a family of 5 room with a sea view costing 78 pounds and on arrival was given a family of 4 room with no sea view only costing 65 pounds which I know as it stated the price on the receipt I was given by reception on arrival

Generally a brilliant hotel other than there needs to be more staff. Also the cleaners need to change the beds more often and not say they have cleaned the room when they had not. Overall quite a good hotel great location guy works hard to run the show

As you can see by the photos..this was our room when we walked in. Dirty nappies, bags of rubbish. Cold smelly room. Our SEA VIEW was non existent. The staff didn't care one bit. The whole place had the worst kind of vibe. The horrible little lift.. the filthy squeaky floors.. I had to leave with my 2 children and spend even more money on another hotel. I will be making sure I get my money back. Whatever it takes. Avoid like the plague. Horrible place should be closed down

Cheap clean comfortable central hotel

Staff Nathan was lovely on the reception. The room we expected to be a bit bigger. A few little upgrades could be made. Clean and tidy apart from the light off the ceiling was very dusty. Got a takeaway but but wasnt able to eat in the room as others have spoiled this for genuine people. All in all we did have a great weekend. Wouldnt stay there again due to tge rules.

The hotel is tired and needs updating. We had the presidential suite and although it is spacious and has a great view it didn't feel worth the extra charge.

Was Single Room Bed was far to small more like for Child The Shower room had really musty smell The Girl who did my room on Floor 4 was Outstanding very Friendly would do anythink to recifty if I needed anythink Now Down Side not Management Fault I was their for 4 nghts and other Guest was very inconsiderate towards others Constantly Banging Doors in Nghts with No Consideration for others Needless say didn't get much Sleep in all them nghts On Fri/Sat nght had Three People who was Drunk Argueing Came out in Corridor to continue Disgusting People!! I had Phone Hotel to ask Colin Nght Porter to come ask them Stop with Noise at 2-30am He was given verbal abuse was told did Damage to TV in room Apparently was thrown out in Morning have been Banned from ever staying there again Would stay there again NO!! I was just unlucky being on Floor with ******!! When asked for Quite Floor 🤣 I'm OAP Lady in my 70s was worst experience ever experienced I'm very well Travelled Lady been all over World Glad to get Home to Preston to get decent night Sleep 😴

This hotel wasn’t for us. It’s in a bit of a mess, this hotel is spacious and large however it needs a lot of work doing too it takes bring it up to a better standard. Everything was old and worn. I guess it’s acceptable for the price bracket. The hotel from the front looked old tired and dirty due to the windows needing a clean. Car parking was in front of the hotel and cost us £ 21.00 for the 3 nights. We feel like it’s a money making racket however It would s still cheaper than other car parks. My son and partner described the whole place as feeling like been in a hostel. We didn’t eat at this hotel and didn’t really use the bars so can’t comment on those facilities. We found the stare wells dusty. The lift was useful to have but It looked dirty and grubby it didn’t fill us with confidence. It was loud too so every time it was going up and down it was banging and rattling to point where we could hear it in our room. It did disturb our sleep. Our room was very big but not as comfortable as we would like. Plenty of tea coffee etc. No hairdryer in the room as stated on the web site and when I asked for one they wanted to charge me £10. I was gob smacked at which point I decided that we wouldn’t be going back. My son had single bed under the window and said it was drafty. The double bed was lumpy bedding basic and the mattress topper didn’t cover the mattress in full. The mattress was very stained and had blood stains on. The bathroom was dirty and old shower needs replacing.
