Worst hotel we have ever stayed in - was welcomed on arrival then did not see the owner at all for our entire stay which meant even though we booked breakfast we had to eat out due to there being no one on site to cook it!! We stayed in room 7 which had a broken bed, the TV did not work and we had to supply our own toilet rolls - our friends stayed in room 3 which had no heating, no tea/coffee making facilities and again no toilet rolls Will never go there again - if I could award zero stars I would

Do not book! This is not a real B&B. No staff around. Couldn't get into the building, couldn’t contact any host/staff, couldn’t check in. Communal area is mouldy, dusty, dirty. No person working the bar during specified hours (false advertising), or even on the premises at all. Had to go elsewhere due to the incompetence. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Rooms very comfortable but on the small size. Breakfast was delicious and hot, could do with different options. Hotel needs bit up dating . Once the refurbishment has been done, it will all look wonderful . Nearby Council carpark. Shops , restaurants and bars nearby. Amusement and venues are within easy walking distance.

When we arrived the gentleman was very warm and friendly brilliant price £120 for two nights in a family room plus breakfast we thought not bad. Then the cracks started showing. We went to our room went to put the clothes in wardrobe and the door was hanging on by it’s hinge the other was ok, the 1st draw with the DVDs in had a cigarette paper and a bit of cigarette and the tobacco on the draw like if someone going make something they should of. The fairy house was thick in dust and thought ok we’ve only bites sleep in here two nights. Bathroom: Sliding door is night mare especially in the night once your the bathroom it’s hard to get out. Bathroom: extractor fan was thick In dust and needs a dam good cleaning in the bathroom black or mould on the tiles in the shower . The posited thing I’ll say is we had comfy sleep. No one was available you got given a few towels in your room no hand towel. If you put the bathroom light on the fan would make a right noise. shower drain is full of hair and needs to be cleaned and the tiles should be clean and no black etc on the white. Breakfast: we was looking forward to breakfast no breakfast two days no breakfast was cooked this isn’t good when we wanted breakfast especially when you have a child with you I texted at 9.13 didn’t get back me till 14.44 with a message of apology saying he thought he pressed snooze on the alarm but didn’t release he turn it and offed a drink for free at the bar we didn’t go. If there was a robbery or if there was fire or something very serious the owner is invisible man. Put a slight hit to our budget as we didn’t think we had to go off sight for breakfast. The next day when we due leave no breakfast again not one single person about so two days and left his keys in the return key post box so anyone could have walked off with them. when we stay in bb we always have breakfast we would never stay in room only especially when you got a young child who is hungry in the morning and breakfast is the most important meal of the day. He said any issue you You got my number but he never answers if he’s not willing to be host and doesn’t want to do breakfast just make it noted and don’t ask people if we want breakfast if you can’t be bothered in the morning. Get someone in to do them. The room needs a lot attention but great nights sleep and the room it’s self is Shame the owner is the invisible man. Such a shame as it could be lovely little place he definitely needs to up the information that it’s room only. Apart for the issues we had a brilliant nights sleep just wish we could have a breakfast instead of looking for somewhere to eat such a shame. I should have read the reviews before I booked it but we live and learn don’t we. Unfortunately to many red flags we won’t be returning

Wouldn't stay again. No staff arond,no breakfast, bar wasn't open, bed dipped in the middle and you could feel the springs, had to take duvet of single bed and lay on that hoping it would give a bit more padding. Rooms could do with a deep clean. Shower needs a good clean to get all the black mould off . Bathroom smelt damp . I work in hospitality and i certainly wouldn't rate this hotel as good, its more like Possable and 2 star . And reading back on the reviews the owner seems to have an answer for everything and comes across rude . Doesn't take criticism very well ,, You should learn from it ....... so wish i had taken some pics

Possibly the worst hotel we've stayed in and we've stayed in some dumps over the years. We travelled the end of Dec for new year along with friends. We checked in no problems, in fact it was very quick and efficient, we were given room 4 which was next door to our friends. Everything seemed fine when we first checked in, however, on checking the room out closer it soon became apparent that its nothing like its described on the booking sites. There was no wardrobe, the only item without dust on was the broken drawer unit, the toilet was missing the lid and was not securely fitted, the shower was dirty, the list goes on. We convinced ourselves, OK, it's not the Ritz and doesnt claim to be, it's in Blackpool and is your typical seaside hotel so with that in mind we decided to overlook the cleanliness, we were only staying 2 nights after all and it was literally a place to change and sleep. At this point we went out and returned a couple of hours later its then the fun started, by now it was cooling down a fair bit, the room was cold and we ended up plugging a hair dryer in to add a bit of heat, we tried to have a shower however there was no hot water. Another member of our group who was staying next door approached the owner who said the water had been turned off by mistake and said he'd turn it back on. We didn't bother with a shower in the end as we were running late and had to leave to meet others in town. Once back in the room around 2.30am it was again freezing cold and we ended sleeping fully clothed. We got up around 8am and went to have a shower, but, once again the water was cold. As a result we decided there and then we could not stay the 2 nights as planned and booked into another hotel which was great, it was warm, had hot running water and no dirt to be seen. Never in all our time visiting Blackpool or anywhere else for that matter have we decided to actually cut our stay short or book in elsewhere. We read reviews before booking BUT only from 1 place, we have now read more reviews and it seems to be a common theme with this hotel along with snide comments in reply to customer reviews. To be fair to the hotel they have fully refunded us for our stay, so effectively admitting the faults as detailed.

We booked in for a weekend over New year. Greeted by owner/ manager and shown to our room, explained breakfast and bar no issues. We had already asked for a lower floor due to mobility issues and was agreed and informed that these where slightly bigger rooms so a bonus. We where given room 3 which was next to our friends who we where enjoying the trip with. The room was tiny! The double bed was up against a wall with about 2ft down the other side to negotiate. There was a small bathroom with shower and a bi-folding door as there wasn't enough room for a single 2ft3 door to open. There was a 4 draw unit but bottom draw was missing and a single tallboy unit for hanging space which could take a couple of winter coats and that's about it. There was also a shelf above the room door for suitcases. There was 1 bedside lamp and a second wall mounted lamp above the headboard which was hanging off the wall and the pull cord missing. The shower was mouldy around the tray, grouting was disgusting, the heat control knob was missing on the shower unit . And the wash basin surround has sharp edges and gaps without any sealant. The bifolding doors are slatted so very limited privacy and the slats where thick in grime and dust. So we started to get ready to go out for a meal and night life but alas no hot water from the shower or wash basin.. this was the same in our friends room next door. I found the Manager/ owner who checked and said someone had turned the hot water off by mistake. Apparently he turned it back on but due to the delay in the water heating up he gave us access to a single room with an electric heated shower which did produce heated water but at a dribble which was less than ideal but a solution. Anyway after returning from our night out it was time for bed. A broken night's sleep was had as room heating was off and the room was freezing. The window wouldn't close so a draft was felt all night, I didn't want to force the window as its not my place and the handle felt very worn and loose so didn't want to force and damage it beyond repair so put up with the draft. Our friends also had heating issues and slept in their clothes under the duvets. Anyway in the morning it was time for a hot shower to warm us up.. Guess what, no hot water or heating still. This was at 10.30 am..the water wasn't just tepid but freezing cold like straight from the stand pipe cold. I went down stairs again to seek advice but nobody about. I rang the hotel contact number 4 times over the space of an hour to try and get it sorted but no answer each time and no call back all day. So we had little option than to seek alternative accommodation for the duration of our stay. We moved to the travel lodge and although never a great fan of TL it was like checking into the Savoy compared to the mayfair. We emailed the hotel and told them we had checked out and the reasons why and he basically called us liars!!! Stating there was hot water and heating in those 2

A beautiful, clean hotel, the manager was really welcoming and helpful, I would highly recommend this hotel, the bar was also really classy and well stocked! My room had all the things you would want in a hotel room, tea / coffee / TV / comfy bed and it was nice and warm!

Myself and my daughter are making memories as I have life limiting cancer so we booked this rather last minute and I didn't look at any reviews which meant I had to climb several steep stairs but that is not the owners fault at all - in all fairness we were given 2 rooms even though we had only booked 1 twin room which we really appreciated. The rooms are fine; clean and have what you need - kettle with plenty of teabags, coffee, milk and sugar, a working tv and very comfy beds. The bathrooms are compact and could do with a spruce up but everything works how it's supposed to. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. There is a lovely lounge you are welcome to sit and relax in and a bar is available on a Friday and Saturday evening I believe. Although the hotel is within walking distance to the seafront and town centre it is in a run down area sadly and our first night out ended with us being followed back which was unnerving so we used taxis for the next 2 nights to go back and forth to the evening shows- again it's not Paul's fault but something that women need to be aware of. All in all we would stay again if there were ground floor rooms or room available as we felt welcome and Paul is a genuinely lovely man.
