The Angus Hotel & Spa

We spent an overnight stay with dinner, prosecco, spa access and breakfast. Had a lovely stay here from start to finish. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were really nice and cosy. The spa was brilliant and the food in the restaurant was excellent with lots of variety. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. We would return again.

Lovely hotel, great value for money. Our party was a group of 4. We had an excellent meal on the Saturday night. Friendly staff.

Went to Angus Hotel for a one night stay it was very nice We had a great stay our evening meal was lovely the room was very nice and comfortable and our breakfast was also very good would definitely return for another stay The spa looked great too although we did not have time to use it

My daughter requested a spa day for her 16th birthday for her and a friend. I came across an amazing deal which included spa access and afternoon tea for 3 people for £42, bargain! I was cynical but I can honestly say it was brilliant, pool and spa area was lovely and one of us was gluten free and they couldn’t of been more helpful, making her a platter and checking in with us that everything was ok. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were well fed by the time we left. It was that good, I’ve booked another. Highly recommend!!

Me and my partner had an overnight stay for my birthday and I can’t fault our stay, was a bit worried before we arrived after reading some reviews but the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was modern, clean and comfortable, the food was nice and the spa facilities were great. We got a Wowcher deal and everything we got included for the money was brilliant, would definitely go back!

I'm not sure where to begin tbh....having worked and stayed in many 4/5 star hotels, I'm not sure how this place stays afloat. We stayed here as part of a large group and from the moment we entered til we left, it was like faulty towers, nothing was organised, staff knew nothing, food was disgusting, rooms weren't very nice, etc. Although our beds were comfy, our bathroom was mouldy and not very clean, the bathroom door slide side to side and didn't lock or cover the door properly. The carpet was ripped and dirty looking and the furniture was very worn looking. The beds were right next to the door so you kept getting woke up due to creaky floor boards, paper thin walls and noisey guests passing in the corridors. The restaurant is just a joke tbh, the food took over an hour to arrive both nights and it was disgusting. The staff clearly don't have a clue about vegetarian/vegan/gluten free dietary requirements and other people in our party said the same thing. When someone asked for the gluten free option, the restaurants manager kept saying what about the pasta and its on tomorrows menu?, he shouldn't be running a restaurant if he doesn't know about allergies and dietary requirements! Yhe kitchen is only open at certain times and staff don't even know when and when we asked about food we were told they were overwhelmed and couldn't accommodate us. Clearly there is staffing issues here and noone knows how to run the hotel. The breakfast was nothing special, very basic and not much choice. The only good thing about this hotel is the spa and location. The spa was wonderful and definitely made up for the awful show of a hotel, it was clean and modern and well maintained, it definitely rivals some of the 4/5 star spas I've been too. The sauna and steam room were roasting hot and the bucket shower was great. The only issue with the spa is the access, you have to walk through the event hall to get to it or walk outside along the road.

We were there on a 3 day break,d,b &b for 2 nights and b & b on 1 night. From our arrival till checking out,it was fantastic. Lovely,friendly welcome,nice room facing the square,as promised.A nice touch in the room with Prosecco,sparkling water and goodies. The food was first class in what was a very busy restaurant,staff were very smiley and could not fault them. We spent some time in the pool,sauna and steam room,all amazing,sessions were for an hour at a time which was great. Well maintained pool with hygiene uppermost. All areas within the hotel were cosy at all times and was very welcoming. We will return,hopefully in the near future.

Hotel is lovely! Very busy at weekends and the overall experience for a weekend was excellent. Would recommend anyone wanting a special entertained weekend - book early and just enjoy. You wont be disappointed.It is in the located in the town centre, so a wander around during the daytime (shops, walking along the river etc) is a nice bonus. Staff are extremely obliging and polite and nothing was too much trouble. I will be booking again most definitely.

Was here for the weekend and it was brilliant,from the staff to the room to the food was absolutely amazing,dougie the Batman is a gem and would do anything to help you he just needs more help him self,is an asset to the hotel,the tribute show was good the first Half,the next part I didn’t think it done him any justice
