The flight was canceled and I was forced to stay overnight in a hurry.
I was looking for it near the airport because it was early in the morning.
In the morning, I asked the hotel for a taxi and arrived in about 8 minutes and was able to go smoothly.
When you arrive at the hotel at night, you can get to the vicinity of the hotel by bus and have good access, but since there is no bus from around 21:00, you can go by train, but if you are a train, you can walk to the hotel for about 30 minutes. Taxi - There is no platform and the road is dark.
We were very lucky because we happened to have someone passing by by car.
Breakfast is from 7 o'clock.
There were amenities and it was very comfortable!

Spacious, functional and well organised. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All speak very good English. Despite the closeness to the Bologna railway station the place is set back, quiet and green, with a large outdoor area for relaxation. The rooms are functional, clean, well ventilated and fitted with A.C. Totally recommended!

Location is excellent, just across the railway station. There are also sandwich stalls, shops and restaurants just right beside the building. The front desk person is very friendly and gave good suggestions on where to visit and dine.
Room was newly renovated and spacious and have lift access. Basic amendities are available as well as flask to boil water for hot coffee. Wifi connection was stable too. Would recommend this hotel.

A very nice hotel with good amenities. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was decent. Bring a hairdryer as the hairdryer supplied is ok for short hair, but not great for long hair. There was only 2 plug sockets in the room and one in the bathroom. This makes charging modern day phones, watches and other equipment very difficult. Especially if one of the plugs is located behind a cupboard. The kettle was balanced on the air con unit which isn’t ideal. A shelf would be a good idea. There aren’t any draws to put away underwear or tee shirts so be prepared to live from your case, however there is a clothes rail. The beds are made everyday and fresh towels if required. We used the spa which was lovely, although the pool probably was a clean. We will definitely return as the location is excellent, about 8 minute walk to the station.

Two friends and I visited Bologna for five days this week and stayed in the Elizabeth Lifestyle Hotel. While the hotel is a little off of the beaten track - about a twenty-five minute walk into the centre of the city - this wasn't an issue for us as we all enjoy walking and the neighbourhood appeared safe. My room (and my friends' room) was lovely - I enjoyed a very comfortable bed, air conditioning (if need be,) a large bathroom, and plenty of cupboard space. Our rooms had high ceilings and were nicely furnished. Most importantly, the service we received at the hotel was exceptional! The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and provided good sightseeing advice. The breakfast buffet staff were also excellent, and the breakfast offerings were plentiful. The cleaning staff were also very thorough. Thanks to all!

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel una sola notte, io e il mio compagno siamo venuti da Roma per un concerto all' Arena Parco Nord, la posizione per noi è stata perfetta perché in 5 minuti eravamo sul posto. La camera è bellisisma, moderna e pulita, idem il bagno con doccia grande. Unico neo la moquette a terra, io non la amo. La colazione è buonissima e molto varia. Consigliato.

We checked in as part of a tour group at around 8 pm from Rome. We were tired and wanted to sleep, but discovered that our room's AC wasn't working. We included a picture of it with no display. Buttons are not responding at all. We ask our tour leader to help us get this problem fixed. Had a big day tomorrow, so we needed as much rest as we could. Front desk said they'd fix the problem, but no one showed up to our room. After waiting for sometime, they said they had fixed it from their end, but it was clearly not working at all. At almost 10 pm, we were told by our tour group leader that they were going to switch us to a different room. Frustrated, because we had already unpacked our things/clothes so we could get up and move early morning, we now had to repack everything then unpack again. What's worse is, they didn't have anyone from the hotel itself assist us with transferring, but had our tour leader act as their bellboy! They gave an excuse that they were understaffed. No apologies,no compensation, no thoughtfulness or professionalism. It was even borderline racism because they used our tour guide as their bellboy when this whole fiasco was their fault! Just because we're Filipino doesn't mean we get treated worst than any other paying guest of this hotel. We're very disappointed with their service, and will spread our negative experience with as many review sites as we can. This NOT how you treat guests of your hotel.

That was perfect choice comparing price to what you get. We could park for free in front of hotel. Room was great with everything inside. 24h reception and very kind people working there. Breakfast was really great with high quality product. I reccommend this hotel warmly.

陶陶觅The hotel is located on the main road of Bologna, across the road from the Cathedral. On the day of the check-in, a grand religious celebration is held, as it is close to the road and you can walk through the road to feel. The room is large, especially the bathroom, and it is no exaggeration to say that you can dance inside. There is an emergency alarm rope near the toilet and the shower. I have pulled two times in the unknown. I have to call the security immediately and need no assistance. It is quite professional and safe. The bathroom accessories are famous Italian brands, the quality is very good, they are brought back to China after they have not been used up, especially like it. The breakfast room was slightly crowded and the dishes were average, but there were even porridge dishes. Later, I learned that there were Japanese monks and local religious groups to hold a friendly relationship and cooperation ceremony during the stay. It was very interesting to walk from the hotel. The restaurant waiter also asked us about Chinese tastes and Chinese cuisine. Although the English communication between the two sides could not convey the essence of Chinese food, they communicated clearly with the help of the body language and imagination. The breakfast was really good. A cultural exchange platform, the restaurant waiter is also very friendly. In general, although it is not the best hotel in Italy, it is also a great place to experience.

GGuest UserThe Starhotel Excelsior is located directly across the street from the central train station, thus is very convenient for those arriving to Bologna by rail. It is also very easy to come in by car without having to battle the traffic of central Bologna and parking is very easy. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the central square. The walk is pleasant day or night on streets lined with shops and restaurants. The area around central station is lively at any time and feels reasonably safe. The hotel itself is quite modern. Rooms are large and quiet despite its proximity to the bustle of the train station. The quality of the rooms and service is extremely good for the price.

GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel for two nights in mid-September. A major plus-point is the location of this hotel close to the railway station. It is only a 10 minute walk away with luggage - always assuming you can find your way out of Bologna AV Station! It is a modern, large hotel offering conferencing facilities as well as providing accommodation. Reception occupies a large space with several seating areas. Staff are efficient and friendly, capable and helpful. We arrived early for our check-in and a room was made available. The bar, breakfast room and restaurant all occupy a single space. There are seating areas outside the entry. The bar is functional but efficient. We took breakfast on each of the days we stayed and were untroubled by any crowding albeit we ate early. Standard continental fare with limited hot options and a totally useless toaster. The spread and the quality was quite acceptable. We did not use the restaurant or the roof top bar. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything worked and whilst we were on the rear of the hotel there was little cross room noise but some external noise. It was clean and housekeeping was attentive. In-room safe was capacious! Wifi was acceptable. Personally we were disappointed that the bed was presented with only one thin cover sheet, but duvets were available. We opted to turn the aircon temperature up! Bathroom was four piece with an over-bath shower. Toiletries were OK but housekeeping did not notice when dispeners were empty. We had to chase housekeeping to get replenishment. This is a large, slightly anonymous hotel. It is the high-end of mid-range costs and can't be said to deliver anything really special save for its location. We are sure it would look after any requirements that its guests had. Whilst close to the railway station the central part of Bologna for eating and drinking is no more than 15 minutes walk away and that area offers something more Bolognese than the hotel. We would recommend it provided corporate identity overrules local colour in a guests choice.

GGuest UserOn first approach, it was clear to see that this hotel is quite far out from the city centre however explains why the prices are a lot cheaper. My partner and I stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights and I must admit, we loved the room and overall feel of the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept amazingly!! If it was just based on rooms alone, we would give this hotel five stars. However… We booked this hotel mainly because it had a pool. When we asked about the pool, we were informed we needed to book a 1 hour slot if we wanted to use it during that day. This was due to covid measures which were still in place at the hotel. So we did. Booked a 1 hour slot for the pool the following evening. When we arrived at the pool on the lower level, we noticed that the changing rooms were locked and the showers were turned off…due to Covid. Now I would typically understand some reasoning for certain covid rules but this just seemed ridiculous. A couple who were using the pool in the hour slot before us informed us to use the small shower cubicle to get changed as this had a frosted glass door on it and is the only bit of privacy you get down there. So we did! We ended up booking the pool out another two times on our stay but as reception advised following our first pool visit, get changed in your rooms then head down to the pool (assuming you don’t need to get the key from reception to unlock the pool). Towels were provided by poolside although on the first day, there was only one towel left for the two of us. On my final visit to the pool on the morning before we left, I had to go to reception in my swimming trunks because the pool was locked. Something I felt uncomfortable doing in the first place but as there was no changing facilities and the towels were locked by poolside, I reluctantly went to reception where the man behind the desk got angry at me being there in my swimming trunks. Simple solution would be to open up the changing facilities down by poolside to prevent this but hey, that was too obvious. Upon pointing out the fact that the changing facilities in his hotel were locked because they won’t open them due to Covid (which he should have known), he eventually calmed down and mentioned he understood. On our visit we also used the electric bikes which were at reception for a full day at the cost of €25 per bike per day. The system is far to complicated for what it needs to be and should be made simpler by just having reception deal with the booking. Once eventually booked, we were given the keys to the 2 bike locks, helmets and some netting for our hair (another odd covid measure which doesn’t make much sense as you will sweat through the netting anyway). As I was away to take the bikes out, I noticed that all four tyres were flat. Surely this should be inspected by the staff before the bikes are taken out?! GGuest UserI only spent one night in the hotel, but it was a positive surprise. A modern, open and pleasant environment within walking distance of Bologna station. Adequate services, young and helpful staff, appropriate technological equipment. A good place to stay, study and work

GGuest UserRoom was satisfactory. But had a lot of negatives. 1. Air conditioning didn’t work and heating was set to always on. Temp of 19 outside, the room was always roasting. Apparently they turn off the air con in October but there should be a choice to sweat or not. 2. Door to the balcony wouldn’t open properly so was always open a bit or a lot. We needed the air but the road outside is very noisy at all hours. Plus works on the plot opposite start at 8am in the morning. 3. No mention before arrival of a service tax. It was €18 for 3 people 2 nights. Not the end of the world but a surprise when you’ve paid in advance. 3. Kettle provided but no coffee or milk in the room. 4. Suite was a double bed and a couch turned into a bed in the same room. I think suite meant it had a kitchen sink and cooker in the cupboard. We wouldn’t have used it but it was so pokey with only one stool that we wouldn’t have been able to use it. 5. At 6am on our last night the electricity came on/off/on/off for 10 minutes before dying altogether. As such all devices and lights in the room came off/on/off/on disturbing our sleep. 6. On checkout there was no apology for the disturbed sleep not even a ‘I’ll waive the fee’ and the Patricia was less than understanding or apologetic.

MMelrose MaeGreat location with great staff. The bell tolls every so often, but it is no bother. Shower is a tad bit tiny but bathroom is big. Lift is available but some rooms on level 2 has a few steps to conquer - do request a room that does not tackle this if you cannot lift your luggage for these few steps. One key per room, but key can be left at reception. We had 4 rooms all up and they mananged to get us all on same floor & close by, as per our request. Again, all the staff are great. Check-in is 3pm, check-out is 11am.

孙孙Hotel location is a bit biased, not on the main road, but the hotel environment is good, the facilities are very new, the room is normal size, breakfast is good, there are bars and restaurants around, cost-effective, if you do not care about the city distance or work around it is recommended.
