The location of the hotel is good, there are supporting business circles around, and it is more convenient to eat. It is very recommended. The parking lot is 26 a day. If you go out halfway, you need to pay separately and recalculate it, which is a little expensive. There is a Dragon Fort a short drive away that is well worth a visit.

This is the place I always stay when I come to Cologne exhibitions. Because of the bedding, training center, and breakfast And a riverside walk bonus.

Sorry to say that we felt the stay at Dorint Hotel Bonn was a rip-off and a flop. Allegedly, the hotel is a four star hotel but it certainly doesn't feel like one. Some good things first: One receptionist was exceptionally friendly and arranged for a room switch after we realised the beds were single beds (in a double room). The room was clean. (As for food, can't say, didn't dine nor take breakfast). Handicaps: the room was tiny. The spa area, which was the reason why we booked at Dorint, is crammed into the basement, with its tsmall swimming pool, in a low-ceilinged impersonal room, no view. There are two scrubby little saunas, with barely any room left to move or to rest afterwards. Yes, there were some deckchairs, but very few, and they were taken. Also, you wouldn't have had any privacy resting on those as people have to apss you from all sides to use the shower and to enter the sauna. Everything feels improvised, like "Let me see, what's the requirements for four stars again? Oh yes, saunas and a swimming pool. Well, we still have a small basement, let's just use that one". Like the suanas, the gym is tiny, rustic and smelly, and you have to cross it when you enter the spa area; it's actually right next to it. All in all, no joy. We'll never go again.

Hotel is expensive but fails to live to the expectations. Interiors are dated and there is a ubiquitous smell of chemicals everywhere. Air conditioning is present, but runs at deafening volumes even at low speeds. Bathroom is cramped and requires maintenance, e.g. shower is jumping from the holder when water is turned on. There are reasonable fitness facilities and even a swimming pool and location right next to the Rhine and opera is great. But at the same time, there are party cruises on the river which do fireworks till midnight, making it hard to sleep. Parking is expensive, but hardly suitable for large cars. Entrance is narrow, and there is a handful of spaces wide enough for something larger than a Golf, but those are usually taken by a Golf.

What a pleasure! I love being pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and upscale right next to the Rhine. The reception desk is friendly and helpful. They were patient while I stumbled over my newly learned German. However they speak English as well. We had a double bed (with an extra bed for my daughter). It’s spacious enough for three. They have a wonderful hot shower with tons of water pressure. The maid service has been wonderful, the garage provides ample parking but be careful if you have a wide car or you will likely hit the sides as you enter or leave the garage. (Like most of the hotels in Germany- they are designed for small cars) The location is terrific, 10 min walk to the Zentrum. We feel so lucky to have made an excellent hotel decision. If we come back to Bonn, we are staying here!

This hotel operated as a Hilton until December 2022. According to the staff there, the hotel closed for 5 days around Christmas and reopened on 1 January 2023 as the Dorint Bonn Hotel. Basically everything seems to have remained unchanged, including staff. The hotel is in a good central location and has underground parking (€26 per day). The rooms are spacey and comfortable. The windows can be opened for fresh air, though this may not be a plus for rooms facing the busy bridge road. The bed was comfortable. A tablet provides information in the hotel and more. The bathroom is functional but poorly ventilated, after a shower tiled walls, counter etc all wet from condensation. I had booked including breakfast, which was excellent. In conclusion, a solid hotel and good choice for Bonn.

This is no longer a Hilton Hotel. It’s now Dorint Bonn Hotel (since 1 January 2023). As of today (23 April) TripAdvisor does not list this hotel as a Dorint property. I’ve tried to let TripAdvisor know, but not sure if successful. Having said that, the Dorint Bonn is a fine hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. From the ‘Hilton’ photos it looks like Dorint didn’t change anything. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and there’s underground parking (€26 per day). Central location.

I was very pleased with this hotel accommodation - the room was nicely sized and it had a nice working area where I was able to connect my laptop and get some work done. Decor was a little dated but nothing unpleasant. There was a complimentary bottled water and fruit in the room and the bathroom was nice. What a bonus that in the very hot (30 C) days when I was there, I had aircon in the room. The aircon unit was a little old and noisy but I was so grateful for it as I believe this is not the norm. It ensured a pleasant sleep. The breakfasts were amazing - a full buffet and well worth it. Staff was friendly and professional and I was able to leave my luggage in their luggage room after checking out, at no extra cost. Would recommend.

Allow me to proffer a ponderous and perceptive evaluation of the Hilton “Dorint” Bonn hotel, which, alas, now languishes in a lamentable state that belies its once illustrious and exalted standing. The erstwhile grandeur of this establishment, now consigned to a rather decrepit condition, compels me to expound on the profound disparities between its current forlorn state and its erstwhile splendor. In its prime, the Hilton Bonn flourished as an exemplar of refined hospitality, eliciting admiration from guests far and wide. From its imposing façade to the lavishly appointed interiors, the hotel exuded an air of opulence and sophistication that was beyond reproach. The staff, an epitome of decorum and competence, attended to the exigencies of guests with an unfaltering sense of professionalism. However, as time has inexorably marched on, the Dorint, as the Hilton now is, has regrettably witnessed a perceptible diminishment in its overall allure. The corridors and communal areas bear the unmistakable signs of wear and tear, manifesting in faded paintwork, chipped furnishings, and carpeting frayed at the edges. The veneer of elegance once so gloriously enshrined now seems tarnished, and the ambiance has become, dare I say, less than inviting. An ignoble decline has not spared the once-esteemed guest accommodations, once ensconced in luxury, but now beset with signs of neglect. The linens, once crisp and pristine, now betray a palpable weariness. The en-suite facilities, while still functional, evoke a sense of antiquation that a property of this repute should long have eschewed. In recent times, even the culinary offerings seem to have lost their lustre, eliciting a sigh of disappointment from those who recall the hotel's exquisite culinary past with reverence. The inventive menus of yesteryear have been replaced with humdrum and unremarkable fare, bereft of the gastronomic delights that once tantalized the taste buds. Regrettably, the staff, too, have not emerged unscathed from this decline. The once-polished and attentive attendants appear to labour under the burden of reduced resources and seem to lack the finesse and polish they once displayed. This conspicuous shift in the quality of service has emerged as a clear blemish upon the establishment's reputation. In conclusion, the Hilton Bonn, despite its storied history and erstwhile reputation, languishes in a state that can only be described as a sad vestige of its former glory. One cannot help but lament the departure from its once-illustrious past, where it stood as a bastion of luxury and refinement. While one may still find moments of solace amidst the shadows of its grandeur, the undeniable truth remains that the Hilton “Dorint” Bonn hotel has seen better days, and one can only hope for a revitalization that would recapture its former splendor.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Bonn. When I entered the room, there were gummy bears waiting for me. I had just returned from a nightmarish trip and it was a nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a myriad of options. It was also nice having a 24/7 snack area in the lobby. I also loved the staff at the hotel. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. Made the stay so much better. The only issue I had with my stay was the wifi which was subpar. Overall, great stay!

The positives are that the Hotel is centrally located and there is some air conditioning. However, the house keeping is hit and miss. Food and Beverages offers poor value for money when quality is considered and the service is mostly mediocre at best. For example, I ordered some food and drinks from the Bar Menu and the server advised me that I need to go to the restaurant downstairs to get my food. My question as to why items ordered from the bar menu could not be served in the bar, was left unanswered. Still, there are many conventions in Bonn this month and all Hotels fill up nicely and the rates go up accordingly. If you choose to book this Hotel, i suggest you bring your wallet and manage your expectations. Bon Voyage!
