Hotel Miramar

My husband & I have just stayed 4 very relaxing nights at the excellent Hotel Mirimar. Picturesque Hotel & excellent kept garden with fantastic sea views. The staff were very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of help yourself cereal, fruit, freshly prepared fruit salad, yoghurts, mini pastries & croissants, bread, jams, continental options & choice of fruit juices. Hot food & toast orders were personally taken by very helpful & efficient staff & brought freshly made to your table. Tea & coffee was plentiful & you didn’t need to ask for top ups as this was taken care off by the staff. We had dinner in the restaurant every night as the food was so delicious. There is plenty of choice on the menu with Daily Specials available. Again, the staff were very efficient, friendly & helpful, nothing was never too much trouble at all. We loved our sea view room & couldn’t wait to go back to our room after going out for the day & relax in the comfy chairs looking out at the magnificent views of the sea. We would sit & read and occasionally nod off to sleep. All of the hotel staff were excellent but a special shout out to David on Reception who was very helpful, friendly, efficient, polite and had a smile on his face all the time. We will definitely be back & can’t recommend enough this beautiful hotel. Mr & Mrs Leach

A great dinner was provided for our event, with due considerations fir the specific dietary needs of individuals in our party. Good quality food, good quality service and good communication throughout. Would definitely use this provider again.

Second visit this year, although we had an issue the 1st time we visited, we still enjoyed ourselves and decided to come back. Unfortunately there seems to be a shortage of staff this time around. We waited over half an hour to be served with a drink, on adivising reception that there was such a wait, the guy behind reception said they were busy, this isn't a guest problem but a bad management problem, poor guy serving was put under so much pressure. Restaurant staff, very pleasant but could tell they were embarrassed with the long, long wait times between courses. Sadly, some tables were being cleared for laying breakfast whilst dirty plates from dinner were sat infront of guests that waited a very long time between courses. Food was generally good, although I could tell mine had been put under a heat lamp to stay hot, hence fish course both evenings was overcooked. Would we come back? probably as we like the hotel in general and the position but would also look for alternatives 1st.

Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great location above Bournemouth beach, great breakfasts. Very relaxing stay. Nice views. Lovely garden. Has Italian Villa look and feel. Easy downhill walk to Bournemouth Pier, beach and gardens

The hotel is in a good location with easy walking access to the town with good views from the sea view rooms. The hotel is very clean and offers a good choice of menu at breakfast and dinner. However, for a four star hotel, some things are poor. Usually, 4 star hotels offer a replenished hospitality tray each day ( bottled water and Biscuits ) and a mini fridge and air con in the rooms. This was not the case. The service in the restaurant was very slow at breakfast and dinner. I waited 30 minutes for soup on one evening meal and it arrived cold. Breakfast was no better with tea and toast arriving after the main breakfast meal. Staff were setting up clean tables before serving ordered meals. Altogether very poor service. 3 stars would be how I can rate the hotel at a 4 star price. Drinks are expensive.

What a superb place. The run up to the Airshow was fantastic. Friday night with the fireworks was stunning. Drinks were served promptly and with a smile. So different to some other hotels in the area where they think location gives them the edge. The MIRAMAR has the edge and is great. Two of the staff we met were so kind and looked after us in the way proper hotels should - it was a pleasure, Bryann and David both were so nice and we will recomend to others because of them. Our friend has a timeshare at a neighbouring hotel and this was miles and miles above, hence why we visited

Visited the Miramar for the Bournemouth Airshow with our business guests. Had an excellent balcony room with fantastic views. Food and service from the whole team was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Brian and your team for looking after us and our guests so well.

Excellent hotel in every way. And the improvement in the last few months amazing.Menu choice and standard of meals and service the best I have experienced there.We can’t wait to return and for longer!.Thank you so much we were exausted and came home relaxed

We stayed at Miramar for a golf trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, finding friendly staff, excellent clean and comfortable bedrooms, and well prepared food. We could not fault it, and the cost of the bedrooms, food and drinks was very fair and reasonable. I will recommend it to anyone. Tony Ridgway
