Great
GGuest UserWe had a great stay! The staff were so friendly and polite, and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The free breakfast was tasty, and the shuttle bus made everything super convenient — especially for visiting our son at UBCO. We stayed two nights and would definitely come back.
GGuest UserThe hotel was extremely busy, as it was a holiday weekend. The state of the hotel definitely showed an increase in volume and turnover. Our room, the entranceway, and the bathroom floor had white marks all over it. At first, it looked like a child walked into paint and then ran in and out of the room. However, with the smallest of elbow grease, I was able to remove most of the marks from the bathroom. In doing so, it looked more like dried oatmeal, but I couldn't be sure. My point is that it was impossible not to notice this mess and that someone made a conscious decision to leave it in this manner. They did this, knowing that it was a long weekend and that guests would be paying in some cases double what they normally would pay. At these prices, with taxes, fees, etc, we were over a grand for 2 nights. At these prices, you do expect the rooms to be in pristine condition. We had spoken to a staff member delivering towels to a nèar by room. He informed us that he would speak to his supervisor and that someone would be up shortly. At this point, it was late and we were at the end of a solid week of moving. We needed sleep more than anything. To the best of our knowledge, no one tried to reach us in regard to this issue. This is a beautiful hotel. However, more needs to be done to keep it that way.
GGingerNutzThe Dilworth Inn is an older hotel and our room appeared dated. The fixtures and fittings were old fashioned and the carpet was well worn. Having said that, it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked and there was a modern TV. There is a pool but it was unavailable during our stay.
The hotel is a long way from downtown Kelowna and the lake front. It isn't really walkable and car parking can be expensive downtime. We paid $25.60 for 3 hours near the Japanese garden...ouch!
There was plenty of choice for breakfast but all cutlery and crockery, mugs and glasses were disposable, which seemed very wasteful. Maybe that's how they are able to offer attractive room rates.
All in all, not a bad choice for people on a budget.
HHelen26@Very clean and tidy hotel. It happened that I encountered a pedestrian street holiday and couldn't open to the main entrance of the hotel, and I couldn't find the parking lot entrance. The front desk of the phone was very attentive and found someone to pick it up. Very good service.
TTravel Around the World 88The hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was notable small. While the stay was generally satisfactory, there were a few concerns that impacted my experience.
Unfortunately, I encountered numerous small flies in the room, including one on a towel, which required me to use tissues to address. Additionally, the elevator was in need of more frequent cleaning, as it appeared quite dirty during my stay.
On a positive note, the hotel offered breakfast vouchers for Ricky’s, conveniently located just outside. These vouchers were valid until 4 PM, which provided a nice level of flexibility.
GGuest UserVery new and modern equipment! Moreover, the room is large and feels very comfortable! There is a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym! If it snows heavily and it’s inconvenient to go out, you can stay in the hotel! Secondly, the breakfast is pretty good! Although the selection is not large, there are slight changes every day! Worthy of appreciation! And Chief is very proactive in helping and very friendly! So every time I come to Kelowna, Holiday Inn Express is my first choice. It is very convenient to get there, and there are many delicious restaurants next to the hotel!
BBlur.86The hotel was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, with a very convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was a breeze. Its peaceful environment makes it ideal for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, a fantastic experience; I would definitely choose to stay here again.
马马Very good, because I participated in the event, a friend recommended the hotel to stay. The overall environment of the stay is very good, and the price booked on Ctrip is also better. Communication with hotel staff is also very smooth.
FFANGThe surrounding environment is very beautiful, the room facilities are also very good, that is, I regret that I have not booked a villa. In fact, it is quite good for us to book a villa for 7 people.
GGuest UserOur stay was generally okay—clean room and expected service—but nothing particularly memorable. One issue stood out: we were asked to stop using the pool at around 9:30 AM because we were told it only opens at 10. We respected that, but just minutes later, another guest used the pool at 9:37 AM, followed by a family with two kids before 10 as well.
It felt inconsistent and a bit unfair. A clear and consistently enforced policy would’ve avoided the confusion and frustration. This small incident left us with mixed feelings about the stay.
