LLuk1733The hotel's location is excellent, and there's plenty of parking. The rooms are clean and tidy. All the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and restaurant servers, were friendly and provided great service. The only minor issue was the air conditioning; if you set it above 64 degrees, it would stop blowing for a long time. It's possible I just didn't know how to adjust it properly, but that was the only small downside.

TtccluThe atmosphere of this hotel is just like a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is so good. The location is convient to reach airport and UBC. You can get anything you need just across a street.

QQiaokelibabamamaGreat location, right in the city center/next to the highway, close to supermarkets and restaurants. It's a 7-minute drive to the lakeside beach and 20 minutes to City Park.
Excellent value for money, includes free parking, WiFi, and a 24-hour front desk.
The rooms are new, renovated in 2024–2025, with a simple and modern design. The bedding is comfortable, and a mini-fridge and coffee maker are provided.
Friendly service, with a warm front desk staff and quick check-in/check-out. It's also pet-friendly.
Practical breakfast: No free breakfast, but they provide vouchers for the adjacent Ricky’s restaurant (can be exchanged for pancakes/bacon/eggs). You can upgrade your breakfast for an extra charge; I tried the BC Benny, and it was quite good.
Facilities include a seasonal outdoor pool, a small gym, and a self-service laundry room.
A nice little touch: They put a rubber ducky in the bathroom, which adds a fun brand personality.
The downside is the motel-style layout: external corridor access means less privacy. There's only one elevator, so for lower floors, taking the stairs is recommended.
Noise issue: Rooms facing the street experience noticeable noise from highway traffic. It's advisable to request a room away from Harvey Ave when checking in.
There's no elevator access to the 2nd and 3rd floors, which can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage.

The standout for us was the breakfast buffet—easily one of the best we've had at any hotel, with a fantastic variety of fresh options. We also loved the rooftop lounge for evening drinks and the clean, well-maintained indoor pool and hot tub. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-tier stay with great value!”.

GGuest UserThis is an ancient hotel but with very convenient location and plenty of parking lots.
The room is clean and tidy with romantic dim lighting in the room area.
Simple breakfast comes with boiled eggs [very limited quantity and you won't get one if even at 9am], cereal, breads, muffin, yogurt, milk and coffee.
Surprised that there's sauna room and a small pool.
Helpful and polite Front Desk staffs with efficient services.

PPenelope JaneHotel is newer so feels fresh and clean. Our room and bedding had a bit of a stale smell, I asked to have the pillows swapped after the first night as I immediately noticed the “greasy” smell when I went to bed. Although they exchanged the pillows, the second set was no better so I sprayed them with some aromatherapy I happened to have on hand.
Overall nice hotel, front desk staff could be more friendly and professional, but not a big problem.

GGuest UserOur stay was generally okay—clean room and expected service—but nothing particularly memorable. One issue stood out: we were asked to stop using the pool at around 9:30 AM because we were told it only opens at 10. We respected that, but just minutes later, another guest used the pool at 9:37 AM, followed by a family with two kids before 10 as well.
It felt inconsistent and a bit unfair. A clear and consistently enforced policy would’ve avoided the confusion and frustration. This small incident left us with mixed feelings about the stay.

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was nice and it was a good experience, the Barbecue stove was very good and the location is very convenient too, but the air vent was very dirty and has a heavy smoke smell, the outdoor pool was pretty dirty too..
