"Great value for price paid. Location is close to most attractions. Also there is a nearby parking lot on Johnson Street where you can park for free from 8pm to 8am. The stay includes breakfast and dinner. Place was clean but rooms are a bit cramped. I made a mistake of not getting earplugs (which are free btw).. it can get very loud at night from nearby homeless or party goers. Overall I would stay there again. Also, first drink at the bar is free!!!"

Amazing
MMillennial_saysThe moment you arrive at the hotel, you feel right at home. It's a small boutique hotel with a European flair. Imagine staying at grandma's house, where everything is taken care of and all you have to do is sit back, relax, and soak up the cozy atmosphere. We stayed on the second floor, and I'd like to point out that this hotel does not have an elevator. This hotel has a recreation room, a small restaurant attached to the main house, an outdoor seating area for breakfast, a small bar, and a gift shop. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We had an excellent stay. The location of the hotel is also important to consider. It is a short walk from downtown Victoria, where the main shopping street is located.
GGuest UserHappy with overall stay experience - clean, excellent service, fantastic room. The feel of the hotel was unique in its vintage and historically significant decor. Only felt that the restaurants within the hotel were not exactly family friendly but there are plenty of them just right outside the hotel for us.
GGuest UserI was in Victoria for a conference at the Conference Center, and Chateau Victoria's location couldn't have been better! Perfect walking distance with great stops for coffee, lunch, or dinner along the way. The Chateau staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with all questions I had and you HAVE to visit the restaurant, Vista 18. There isn't a bad seat in the house with windows overlooking the town in all directions. My server, Scott, gave a fantastic dinner choice (halibut) which ranks in one of the top 10 meals I've ever had! Excellent wine and cocktail choices as well as desserts - as tasty as they are visually delightful. My room had everything I needed including a Nespresso and a small fridge. I WILL BE BACK! 5 stars.
DDonbwAccommodations and the location were great! I enjoyed the room. Robe would have been nice. They had some important essentials. Iron an ironing board. Hairdryer shampoo conditioner and body wash and lotion. I would stay here again. I was on the 14th floor and the views were amazing.
GGuest User5-Star Review for Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel, Victoria, BC
My stay at the Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel in downtown Victoria was nothing short of exceptional, especially thanks to the front desk team's kindness in upgrading me to a suite. The suite was fantastic—extremely spacious at around 400-600 sq ft, with a full kitchen including fridge, stove, microwave, and dining area, plus a cozy sitting space and pull-out sofa that made it feel like home. Cleanliness stood out, with spotless rooms, fresh linens, and well-maintained facilities throughout this heritage property renovated in 2019. The location is unbeatable, steps from Government Street, Fan Tan Alley, and the Inner Harbour, perfect for exploring Victoria's attractions on foot. Service was top-notch: friendly, accommodating staff handled everything efficiently, from check-in to daily check-ins, echoing countless glowing guest reviews. Amenities like free WiFi, fitness center, air conditioning, and 24-hour front desk added to the comfort. I can't recommend this hotel enough—it's a gem for any Victoria visit!
CCengjingtierenVictoria is not big. This hotel is located in the heart of downtown, and you can basically walk everywhere. Within 10 minutes of leaving the hotel, you can see all the scenery near the Inner Harbour. There are countless high-quality restaurants. Apart from the price being a little high during peak season, there is almost no disadvantage.
GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at this hotel! One of the highlights was the free bike rental, which made exploring the area so much fun and convenient. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise; the homemade croissants and pastries were absolutely delicious and added a delightful touch to our mornings. The billiard room was a great way for our family to relax and enjoy some quality time together. We also found the coin laundry service incredibly handy, especially during our extended stay. Overall, a wonderful experience that made us feel right at home!
GGuest UserTop notch service. Corner suite on the 6th floor had a killer view of the harbor and parliament building. Walking distance from restaurant and the BC museum. Really appreciated having a sitting space separate from the bedroom.
Everything was very nice but room not newly remodeled. Nonetheless, looking forward to an opportunity to stay there again.
Major flaw was the pool, sauna area was part of an attached gym. Not the spa experience I had hoped for.

MMichellephenomenal experience at this amazing hotel. All the staff were so sweet and amazing. The indian front desk consoled us in the middle of the night at 4am when we thought the hotel was ******* (it wasn’t’t it’s just us). The hotel offered free gummy bears in the lobby, and when we asked for more, they gave us a whole bag!!! (1 kg, selling for 13 bucks on amazon) The gummies are also such good quality they melt right in my mouth when you put them in. The amenities are so chic and high quality i could eat a child. (my friend typed this idk what she meant) The kitchen equipment is also quite well. The staff also helped us scared a ghost away, we slept like a baby the second night after bathing in the tub. no ac was a bunmer tho.🤞🤞😩😩
