Shantou Hotels with Free Breakfast

The room was spacious and very clean. Even though it's next to an elevated highway, it was surprisingly quiet at night. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance nearby. You can grab a shared e-bike to get to the food street. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

The staff helped me do my laundry, saving me three hours in one day! This is what I loved most, a big thank you to the front desk. I also really liked their breakfast – coffee, bread, main courses, meat dishes, they had it all, plus congee and noodles, and various small side dishes. The location is excellent, right next to the Zhuhai Comprehensive Market. My room faced the market, but there were no smells or noise. You can also book a room on the other side, further away from the market. Personally, I think the location is superb; within a 300-meter radius, there are five bakeries, and it’s a 300-meter walk to Zhujiang Road, with plenty of food and drink options along the way. The service staff were enthusiastic and polite, and they definitely changed the duvet cover. I'm very particular about that, and they actually brought a cart to change the bedding when cleaning the room.

The hotel is newly opened and has a great overall ambiance. The hygiene conditions are excellent, and the room details are well thought out, including a mini-fridge and tea-making facilities. The bathroom is a highlight with its high-tech toilet and excellent toiletries, and the water pressure for showering is fantastic and very comfortable! The front desk staff are enthusiastic, always ready to answer questions, and genuinely think of the guests' needs! There's free coffee and tea on the first floor of the hotel, which are quite good! The rice noodle roll place next to the hotel is also good, and it's not far from Zhujiang Food Street, which is very convenient!

The hotel is within walking distance of MixC Mall and close to Longyan South Road. It's a short taxi ride to Xiaogongyuan Park. If you want to visit Nanao Island, you can rent a car and park it in the hotel's parking lot. Overall, the location is great, making getting around very convenient. On hot days, if you don't feel like going out, there are plenty of food delivery options. They deliver to the concierge, and a little robot brings it up to your room. I was initially worried that the hotel, being a bit older, might have outdated facilities. However, I was pleasantly surprised that everything is very well maintained, giving it the substantial feel of an established five-star hotel. The room is quite spacious, with comfortable 1.35m beds and nice bedding. The air conditioning works powerfully. There's an outdoor pool that looks quite beautiful. The hardware is generally good, but I have to say, the service is pretty mediocre. When I checked in, they said there were no available rooms and they were still being cleaned. They suggested I go to lunch first and took my phone number, promising to call, but no one ever called. The afternoon tea, which was included with my booking, wasn't offered proactively. I only remembered it the night before check-out and had to ask staff for the voucher. When I encountered staff in the elevator, they didn't seem to have the awareness to greet guests proactively. So, the 'software' (service) is far from five-star.

This guesthouse I booked for my trip to Shantou was an absolute gem! It really added such a wonderful, happy vibe to my whole trip. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into it – the decor has a lovely retro Republic of China style, with solid wood furniture and really comfy bedding. The room was super clean, and the location is just unbeatable. Being able to step out and find food, drinks, and entertainment right downstairs was so convenient. We could just pop back to the room for a rest whenever we got tired. The owner also recommended some fantastic local spots: a beef hotpot place, late-night congee, and Zhenping Guozhi (rice noodle soup) – all incredibly delicious! I've already recommended this guesthouse to my friends; it's truly worth choosing!

Kevin at the front desk was very welcoming, the environment was good, and the breakfast was great. I stayed for two consecutive days and it was excellent. I also recommend Sixi restaurant across the street, the food was good and the staff were all very friendly. ❤️

The room's location is decent, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a hotel-apartment with two large beds, which is great for families with two kids. However, it has its drawbacks. The soundproofing is poor; you can clearly hear conversations from surrounding areas. The biggest issue is the extremely small bathroom, making it very inconvenient to use the toilet – you pretty much have to leave the door open. The shower, on the other hand, is fine with good water pressure. For the price, it's acceptable; you can't expect too much.

This hotel was a true gem we discovered on our trip, hands down the best of the entire journey! The staff scheduling is very thoughtful; the morning shift has three lovely ladies who are gentle and patient, while the evening shift is handled by dedicated staff. Breakfast deserves a special mention – the 'kuey teow' (flat rice noodles) was amazing. The food selection is comprehensive, clean, and hygienic. The bedding in the rooms is neat and comfortable, and the parking lot is spacious with plenty of spots, so no stress about parking. The lobby has a pleasant aroma, and the air conditioning temperature is just right. Even the public walkway to the affiliated BBQ restaurant is meticulously clean, with no grease or stains, showing excellent attention to hygiene details. My stay here was fantastic, and I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends in Guangzhou!

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

Kaiyad hotel is located in the main road and its very easy to reach there and also have so much facilities around there specially for foreigners many western restaurants and also if you are coming to business work this hotel is much convenient The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly but they don’t have more varieties for breakfast
