✨ A hidden gem in Taizhou: Fuchen Yin 府城隐 What makes this hotel truly special is its incredible story — a beautiful transformation from an old 财神庙 (temple of the God of Wealth, so yes… extra good fortune vibes 😉) and a historic printing factory into a serene luxury retreat. Tucked away in a quiet residential alley and accessible by buggy, the hotel feels like a secret escape from the busy world. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of calm. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with generous spaces to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy the moment. My favourite corners? The library, where I spent time getting lost among the books, and the piano area, where I happily played a few tunes. These little details made the stay feel more like a home away from home rather than just a hotel. The breakfast was an absolute highlight — a celebration of Taizhou’s local flavours. I loved discovering so many regional specialties: 🍵 青草糊 — a refreshing grass jelly dessert with a wonderful touch of peppermint that made it even more refreshing 🍜 姜汤面 and 芋头面 — comforting local noodle dishes 🍰 三色糕 🍚 乌饭麻糍 (with red bean filling) 🥟 扁食 …and so many more delicious local treats that I wish I had a bigger stomach! They even helped me buy the famous 海苔饼 — the whole reason I came to Taizhou — and it arrived piping hot. Truly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a trip memorable. The hotel facilities are exceptional. From the beautifully designed spaces to the thoughtful amenities, everything has been carefully considered. The bed deserves a special mention — probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. They also provide turndown service, luxurious toiletries, and a complimentary minibar (which, by the way, included local rice wine 🍶 — just saying 😉). A huge thank you to every member of the Fuchen Yin team for making my stay so warm and memorable. The combination of history, design, local culture, incredible food, and heartfelt hospitality makes this one of the most unique stays I’ve experienced. Definitely a place I would love to return to. 🤍

This hotel deserves to have a perfect 10 out of 10 rating, and I don't understand why it doesn't have that because it is perfect. The pictures do not do it justice because it is luxurious and it gives luxurious treatment. It is beautiful, very clean, and has everything you need for your stay. The food is so delicious that if the chefs adopted me I would let them, just so I could eat their food everyday. The entire staff including the owner which we were lucky enough to meet is so warm and kind. I'm not sure how much the owner is there but he was there the entire time we were there and would attend us himself when he could. We had our own butlers who were fluent in English and were so communicative with us and anything we needed they would quickly attend to it. The owner also speaks some English himself. I wish I was as fluent in Chinese as they all are in English. The location is also perfect because it is near all the scenic areas and the towns because it's just a very short Didi ride away.The rooms are beautiful and luxurious. I could go on and on about how wonderful this hotel is, but if you get a chance you must experience it for yourself. This is one of the absolute best hotels I have stayed at and I am so glad I got to stay here for our first China visit.

The hotel is right by the old Zhexi Street in Tiantai. After arriving at Tiantai Mountain Station by high-speed rail, the hotel thoughtfully provides a free shuttle service. The moment I arrived in Tiantai, I had a great feeling. The distant mountains stretched endlessly, and the water was a vibrant green. The old street seems to be a retro district built along the banks of the original stream, but with its pavilions, waterside structures, ocher stones, and the winding, cascading stream, the giant stepping stones spanning both banks, and the ocher-colored rock slopes peeking out of the water, it's a very well-designed area. Xi Ye (the hotel) is located right on the bank in the core area. Just a few steps to the right is Rong Xiaoguan, to the left is Starbucks, and diagonally opposite is BaWangChaJi. As soon as you enter the hotel, the whole world seems to quiet down. A huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooks a lush green view. There's a pond with koi fish swimming, and two or three clusters of azaleas blooming. The design of this hotel immediately captivated me. Entering the room, it was a spacious 50-60 square meters, with welcome snacks, a minibar, afternoon tea, turndown service with a late-night snack, Le Labo 33 toiletries, custom boat-shaped slippers, a black hotel-branded canvas bag, and even a small wooden prayer bead bracelet. All these details spoke volumes about the hotel's thoughtfulness. I will definitely come back. I love Xi Ye, and I loved the two local eateries I tried; it felt like every chef there was a hidden master, with every dish full of deliciousness and surprises. I came to stay at Xi Ye for Guoqing Temple, and for Xi Ye, I'd be willing to come to Tiantai again next time.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Worth every word I'm about to write. **Facilities:** The amenities are incredibly thoughtful and refined. There's a courtyard, and you can dry clothes on the rooftop. We happened to catch a light rain, and if you don't mind, you can just sit in the courtyard and listen to it fall – very pleasant. **Breakfast:** We heard the breakfast is made by 'Auntie,' and you can truly taste the local flavors. I highly recommend the 'Mai Xia' (shrimp and wheat noodles, I assume). **Hygiene:** Absolutely spotless, no complaints whatsoever. **Environment:** The hotel is a guesthouse converted from an old building, with a bookstore in the front and the guesthouse behind. It's beautifully laid out and I loved it. You can also sit and have tea, which is very relaxing. **Service:** This is where I really want to elaborate. The service was the most delightful surprise. I'm used to the standardized service of five-star hotels, but this time I wanted a change of scenery and chose this place for its location and cultural features. The service, however, truly astonished me. Unlike typical hotel service, this place offers a warmth that feels more like trust between family and friends. Let me list a few points: 1. They added me on WeChat before check-in. Before we even got out of the car, staff members were sent to meet us at the intersection. 2. On the day of check-in, something in the room triggered my allergies. (Disclaimer: I am allergic to certain things, but my travel companion had no reaction, so the room itself wasn't the issue.) I initially thought I'd just tough it out, but around 10:30-11 PM, I noticed my allergy worsening. On a whim, I messaged the owner via WeChat. To my surprise, an employee was sent to check on me in less than 2 minutes and even accompanied me to look at other rooms to see if there was one that wouldn't trigger my allergies. This truly amazed me. Not every hotel (including five-stars) can offer such a quick response and professional service. 3. On check-out day, I went to Ziyang Street next door to buy pastries. Just as I stepped out, it started pouring rain. The owner immediately called me, but I missed the call. They then sent a WeChat message asking if I needed an umbrella delivered. This message felt incredibly heartwarming. Even though I had my own raincoat, their thoughtfulness made me feel like they treat guests as cherished friends. There's not much to photograph inside the room, but here are three pictures of the view from the window and rooftop. Absolutely loved it! 😊 I will definitely come back to visit again when the weather cools down!

The homestay is located halfway up the mountain, the environment is quiet and the view is wide. The terrace can watch the sunrise, and the sea breeze is full of comfort here at night. The homestay has a few steps, and the boss is intimate to help with luggage. The mountain behind the homestay is the charm of the mountains and the cliffs and cafes. We are not traveling by car, and the boss is intimate. A few minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast is a local special cake, quite delicious. The boss is warm and welcoming, the whole service is warm, and the seaside holiday is highly recommended.

My stay at Le Pavillon Eternel Hotel was fantastique! The hosts were very hospitable and friendly, a charming husband and wife couple; the hostess was quite a chef. I really liked how she cooked my meals, after visiting the Grand Waterfall of Tiantai and the Qiongtai Fairyland Canyon, perfect places for me to visit at the end of the year. Both are highly recommended. And this hotel is highly recommended because the entrance of these stunningly surreal, spectacular, and serene sites - all at once - are just about a 10-15 walk from the hotel. I visited the famous Buddhist Temple a few years back, so it was all about taking in this amazing waterfall and exploring this enchanting water canyon in between soaring mountains that kiss the sky. Descending back to my hotel room, it was quiet, and the bed comfortable. The heater and the wifi also worked well. The water was nice and hot in the middle of winter. The hotel is not very far from the Tiantai Shan Train Station, which is about 15-20 by taxi and costs only about 25 yuan. When I get another chance to come to Tiantai, I'll definitely come back here.

Shenxianju Star Viewing and Yuemu B&B, which we booked online with Ctrip in advance, is very close to the south entrance of Shenxianju Scenic Area. However, we learned that we were going to visit the next day, and after having a free and rich farmhouse special breakfast, the owner personally drove us there. We went there, and after the tour the boss came to pick us up and meet us at the B&B. Although we only stayed for two short nights, we felt very satisfied. Not only was the room comfortable and clean, the facilities were complete, but the service was warm and thoughtful. They took the initiative to help us carry our suitcases to the room where we were staying and introduced Shenxianjunan It is a leisure route suitable for the elderly, entering from the south gate and exiting from the south gate. The main attractions are basically visited, which saves us effort and time without wasting our legs. In particular, some of the intangible cultural heritage handicrafts and wood carving master-level products of the B&B owner are particularly unique and worthy of praise. Secondly, the delicious dishes cooked by the landlady are full of fragrance and taste, and the taste will be unforgettable for a long time. We drank some wine and sang karaoke, and we were in a particularly happy mood. ...Everything is good, worth recommending, take photos for reference.

Choosing this hotel for my business trip to Taizhou was a great decision and saved me a lot of hassle. The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Yang, was very patient. The hotel also offers a free pick-up service from the station, so I could just hop on the car directly without having to drag my luggage around and find my way, which was a real lifesaver on a hot day. The hotel's common areas are very clean; the lobby and hallways are bright and inviting. The breakfast was also good; while the selection wasn't huge, the quality was excellent, and I left feeling satisfied. There's also a self-service laundry room, which is really practical for guests staying multiple days. Overall, my stay was very comfortable and I have no complaints.

We just checked out today, and honestly this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in China. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He even upgraded us to a bigger room with a beautiful terrace, a higher floor, and an amazing view, which made our stay even more special. What touched us the most was how they treated us like guests, not just customers. They invited us to have dinner together, and we spent the evening eating, chatting, and playing games. It felt very warm and authentic. They also paid attention to every detail. They asked us what time we usually wake up and when we would like breakfast, and in the morning they brought a delicious breakfast directly to our room. As a foreigner who has been living in China for two years, this is honestly the first time I have felt so comfortable, welcomed, and connected with local people during a stay. It was a wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a warm, genuine, and memorable experience.

Come to Taizhou to play, the experience is good! Thanks also to the front desk, helped me develop a play route, from Haimen Old Street to Garden Food Market, Baiyunshan Park, and then to the old street, the route is very time-saving and not tired, super convenient. The hotel has a beautiful environment, elegant decoration and a pleasant atmosphere. The service is not to say, the staff is warm and caring, from check-in to departure, take care of, responsive, next time you come to choose here! Their breakfast is good and exquisite.
