I had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of the city centre and riverside areas. The hostel was clean, well organised, and felt safe throughout my stay. My room was simple but comfortable, with clean bedding and sufficient storage space. The shared bathrooms were well maintained and regularly cleaned.
The staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help with directions and local tips, which made settling in very easy. I also appreciated the communal areas, which were relaxed and suitable for catch up with other travellers or just unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hostel offers very good value for money and is a great choice for budget-conscious travellers visiting the city.

Guest UserThe room decor was quite distinctive and to my taste. We stayed in one of the slightly larger rooms, but it still felt a bit cramped because the bathroom and balcony were incorporated, making the space feel tight. The environment is nice, being close to the river, which is quite picturesque. If you prioritize the surroundings, it's a good choice. However, the bed was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staff's attitude was also rather unenthusiastic.

Anonymous UserThis is also a very good hotel. The front desk service was excellent. Initially, there was an issue with the air conditioning in my room – it couldn't be manually adjusted. I informed the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a new room. The AC in the new room worked perfectly, making my stay very comfortable. Thumbs up for the service!
The breakfast was good. My favorite dishes were replenished constantly, and the fish was delicious. The coffee was also nice. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.

Guest UserThe hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general.

Guest UserThe hotel is a 15-20 minute drive from Cambridge. There's a gas station and a large supermarket next door with a good selection of items. Breakfast is standard, a typical English breakfast. The car park is spacious, perfect for those traveling by car, and the rooms are quite new.

Travelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them.
Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) .
I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip.

Breakfast is average, it is normal, nothing special. The room is too small, and it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There is a chair in the room, and it is necessary to find a waiter to give another chair. From the picture posted on the door, we stayed in the smallest room in the whole hotel. Really unhappy.

Guest UserSingle bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking.

The room was very tidy and nice. They had all the amenities, including soap, body wash, shampoo, tea, and instant coffee. They even had coffee pots. Towels were changed everyday too. There is no hair dryer, but they gave me enough towel to dry my long hair thoroughly though. The room I stayed was an attic room, with slanted ceiling, but I loved it because I could see the sky. There were blinders too, so the sun in the morning was not a worry for me. The room looks very much like a dorm, so there was a table that I can work on, with closet that I can hang my suits on too. It wasn't the cleanest, it had some spider webs in the corner of the room, but they were really in the corner and I was staying only to sleep, so it didn't bother me as much. I would definitely recommend the place for business travelers looking for a cheap accommodation in the middle of Cambridge University.

Alison’s Silk Road TravelsThis was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. The images you see are of the hotel reception area, room114, the view from the window, T and coffee and images of the walk from the hotel into the Fitzwilliam Museum, Newtons apple tree and Universities. A very brilliant walk unlike no other! Thanks hotel for a great stay. I will be back ❤️
