I've been back home for a week, and I finally have time to write a detailed review of this hotel, named after the ancient Silla kingdom.
First, the good points, which are the only things I found worthwhile. The hotel is built into a cliff, boasting unique natural scenery. It cleverly integrates lush vegetation into one side of the hotel, creating a rich and layered temperate island characteristic. Strolling through it is incredibly relaxing. In the distance is the surging sea, and nearby are cliffs and a sandy beach ā being there is truly enjoyable.
Now that I've covered the good, here are the things I found intolerable and unacceptable:
1. The room the hotel provided was not the one I booked. I had reserved a mountain-view room with a balcony, but they gave me a room without a balcony, and the window overlooked a parking lot.
2. After I requested a change, the hotel moved me to another room. It did have a balcony, but it was still near the parking lot.
3. What made me even angrier was that the hotel clearly hadn't cleaned thoroughly. In the new room, I found uncleaned hair in the sink and water stains in the bathroom. The picture shows hair in the basin.
4. After communicating with the hotel again through Trip.com, the hotel staff at the front desk was expressionless throughout, with dull eyes and mechanical service, showing no apology whatsoever. They showed me another room that was even worse than the current one. I had no choice but to ask the hotel staff to clean it again, and I ended up waiting for nearly two extra hours because of this.
5. The hotel breakfast was terrible. The local specialty food was extremely unappetizing and hard to swallow. The coffee used low-quality beans. There was an area that seemed to be for Chinese food, which was completely unrecognizable. The fruit selection was basic, truly basic. The only edible options were the Western food and ice cream, which were actually good.
Perhaps you might think my review is harsh, but given the room rate I paid, I feel I have the right to be this critical. And for breakfast, at nearly 300 RMB per person, honestly, 'basic' is the only word I can use, especially for the fruit.
The entire staff at the Shilla Hotel seemed to have a grim, tense, and deliberately distant demeanor, which was genuinely off-putting.
Overall, I'd say this hotel completely fails to meet expectations. Many areas need significant improvement. If I had to choose again, I definitely wouldn't stay here.

Guest UserThis hotel is perfect for a family vacation with young children. There's a Teddy Bear Museum nearby, and the garden pool is great for kids to play in. The Starbucks on the rooftop offers beautiful views. The hotel also has a convenient store, which is very handy. It's about a 20-minute walk to the beach.

Guest UserThe overall service was good, and the rooms were marked with nationality, so Chinese-speaking assistance was available by phone. We could also request a child toilet seat. However, the overall facilities for families were a bit lacking compared to domestic parent-child hotels. There were no complimentary toothbrushes or toothpaste, so we had to bring our own or buy them from a vending machine. Only two bottles of mineral water were provided per day, and anything extra had to be purchased. Seogwipo City felt better for exploring than Jeju City, and both were about the same distance. Hyeopjae Beach is highly recommended. There was a sashimi place in the complex that was delicious, but Mom's fried chicken was just okay. For BHC fried chicken, the front desk could help order delivery, and it was a 15-minute walk away.

Guest UserFirst, my initial thoughts: I was prepared for a 'prison-like' room before checking in, but staying here, I actually found the room small but cozy! Coupled with other advantages, the actual experience exceeded my expectations.
Now, for the pros:
1. **Rich Community Facilities:** Besides the accommodation buildings, there's a standalone coffee shop, a standalone small bar (received a free beer voucher upon check-in), a GS25 convenience store (the female staff member was very friendly), a gift shop (at the front desk), and a breakfast/lunch restaurant (you can get a discount if you purchase breakfast at the front desk a day in advance).
2. **Excellent Location for Olle Trail 1:** It's very convenient for those doing Olle Trail Route 1. You can walk to Gwangchigi Beach, the starting point of Route 1, in about 10 minutes.
3. **Friendly Staff:** All the service staff were very friendly and could communicate well in English.
4. **Spacious Bathroom:** Although the room itself was small, the bathroom and shower area were quite spacious.
5. **Free Airport Shuttle:** This was an incredibly valuable service. I took the 10:30 AM shuttle to the airport. No reservation was needed, the bus arrived on time, and it took about an hour to reach the airport.
Areas for improvement:
1. **Lack of Hooks in Room:** My room had no hooks, except for two small ones in the toilet. I suggest adding one more in the main room without taking up extra space (I saw some other smaller room types had them).
2. **Soap Dispenser Design:** The hand soap dispenser had a short pump, which was inconvenient to use when my hands were dirty. A longer nozzle would be much better.
Overall, it was a very good stay. I would consider staying here again if I plan to do other Olle trails on the Seongsan side.

alwayflyingWe stayed in Jeju for an 8-day, 7-night vacation, 5 nights at Parnas and 2 nights at Marriott. Our whole family preferred Parnas. The Parnas pool is huge, and breakfast is abundant with a rotating menu every three days, so even after five days, we didn't get tired of it. We booked a club suite, and the executive lounge food also had a rotating menu every three days, so our family loved going there every evening for some food and drinks. Parnas has plenty of public seating for guests to relax, and the staff are very professional and warm. After check-out, I quickly received an email from Parnas surveying satisfaction across various aspects, showing their dedication to service and focus on customer experience.
Marriott, despite being the most expensive hotel in Jeju, was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was exactly the same every day with no variety. The brunch, while plentiful, was also identical on both days, which would definitely get monotonous if staying longer. Plus, the Marriott's layout is a bit complicated and involves a lot of walking around. If anyone is torn between Parnas and Marriott, I'd definitely recommend Parnas; it's more satisfying in all aspects. The welcome fruit and wine at Parnas felt much more thoughtful compared to Marriott's three oranges and a snack box.

Guest UserThe room was spacious and bright, with excellent facilities. Both the pool and gym were quite good. Breakfast was plentiful, mainly Western-style, and truly top-tier for a 'Western-style meal'. The croissant was the best I've had in any Asian hotel. The hotel is right by the sea, and an evening stroll along the coast was delightful.

Posted on Oct 10, 2025|Deluxe Family Twin Room with Mountain View
Guest UserWe were quite disappointed upon arrival. We had specifically booked a mountain view room, but were given a city view room with mountains in the distant backgroundāa view that looked nothing like what was advertised in the hotelās room listing.
When we raised this with the front desk and showed them the discrepancy using a photo comparison (our view vs. the advertised one), we were told that the building had been constructed recently and the room photos hadnāt been updated. However, the buildings obstructing our view clearly appeared not to be new, making that explanation unconvincing.
What was even more disappointing was the lack of any effort to rectify the situation. The hotel could have at least offered us an alternative room, even a cheaper one with partial sea and mountain views, but this wasnāt done. We ended up paying a premium for a view that didnāt meet expectations, and left feeling misled.
Parking
The listing stated free parking, but both nights, the hotel car park was full. We had to park in public areas, and one night, we ended up parking at the roadside due to a lack of space. As foreigners unfamiliar with Korean parking regulations, this caused unnecessary stressāwe were worried about the risk of parking fines for potentially illegal parking.
Other Concerns
There seemed to be extra charges for everything. Only two complimentary bottles of water were provided each night. When we went to the lobby to ask for two paper cups, we were told we had to pay for them. Fortunately, this charge was waivedāpossibly because they were aware of our parking issueābut it still left a negative impression.

The rooms were very clean. The only downside is the location by the harbor, and the roads leading to it are a bit narrow and tricky to navigate right now. Overall, I'd recommend it, especially if you're a large family looking for a good stay.

I went to ICC Jeju for GCIM 2025 conference. This hotel is just 10 minutes walking distance from the ICC. The staff is very cooperative and kind. He can also speak English. The room service and cleaning fascilities are best š.

Anonymous UserA decent and comfortable stay. If there is not enough parking lot within the hotel, there is another parking space opposite the hotel.
There is a washing machine within the room and the staff will give a free detergent pod if the stay is 3 nights and above. They also do provide a drying rack if required.
