Excellent dinner, brilliant service. They cater really well for vegans.I have visited the restaurant several times and never had a vade experience. If you're looking for somewhere romantic to take a date out, this is the place. A real gem in the area.

We booked to go away with a couple of friends, immediately we arrived we were greeted by the friendly and helpful receptionist. Our whole stay was a lovely experience, with all staff being very good . Food was extremely good and hot. We can highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel had a serious issue with no water when we arrived, which we were told will be sorted by dinner time. Bottled water was provided for us to have a drink. At dinner time the water had not come on, so the kitchen was closed. The staff arranged for a taxi to take us to a restaurant, which was good. Taxi also picked us up. When arriving back to hotel at 1030pm the water was still not on in our room. Not the hotel's fault, but rather difficult with the toilet etc. In the morning eventually we got water, and the breakfast was very well presented and cooked well. I was expecting a refund for our unused food cost paid to the hotel. On check out we were told that Sarah had given us a voucher for a return overnight stay in a suite with dinner, bed and breakfast. This voucher is valid for one year. We were very pleased with this, and think the hotel management did everything possible to make up for the water. We are really looking forward to returning, which we are going to do in the Spring on my birthday. Well done Berwick lodge team, you are stars.

The occasion was to celebrate my wife and my Diamond Wedding Anniversary with 8 members of our family. Dinner was absolutely superb with impeccable service. w We stayed overnight in a beautifully appointed and very comfortable period bedroom. Throughout the whole experience the staff could not have been more friendly and efficient. We will definately be returning in the future.

My husband and I recently got married at Berwick Lodge on 31 August 2024, what an incredible wedding venue it is. The team are worth every 5-star review they get. We’re not from Bristol, but we chose Berwick because we loved how characterful, authentic and welcoming the property felt. For our 65-person wedding, it was the perfect size. We saw a lot of venues that felt purpose-built for the conveyor belt of wedding season. But that wasn’t Berwick at all. The exterior building is beautiful, of course. But what I loved most is the feel of the place inside, with its beautiful wood panelling, chandeliers, gorgeous bay windows, grand fireplaces, antique dressers full of glassware and regal green dining chairs. It’s so characterful that you feel like you are in a period property having the party of a lifetime. Guests said it was like a Bridgerton wedding. I also loved that Berwick’s Hattusa restaurant was highly regarded in its own right. During our first visit, we overheard a local family thanking the restaurant “for another outstanding meal”, which sealed the deal for us. The quality really showed through in our wedding breakfast. Guests made a point of saying how good the food was afterwards, which says it all. Honestly, the whole experience of organising our wedding at Berwick Lodge was flawless thanks to the wedding team. We liaised with Georgia in the run up to the wedding – from first visits, to securing our date and then arranging the menu tasting and the final detail meeting. Georgia was incredibly friendly, professional and helpful, and offered great advice when we needed it. The venue asks you to organise all the details of the wedding via a Google Drive, which was very useful and well thought out. The wedding pack provided us with pretty much all the information we needed, but Georgia was always there on email to answer any questions. On the day, we were looked after by Rhianna and Tan who were both so calming and organised. What makes their service stand out is that they are so kind and lovely to the couple. It just leaves you feeling reassured and looked after by your wedding venue, which is all you want on such a special day. We had exclusive use of the wedding venue, with friends and family staying over in the hotel. Everyone was very happy with their rooms. Lydia, Phyrgia, Troya, Ionia, Zeguma and Kappadokia were particularly amazing. Real wow factor rooms. My only regret is not taking the option to exclusively book out the venue for the night before the wedding. Ultimately, Berwick Lodge is a fantastic wedding venue. Our wedding day ran smoothly, everything was high quality and well-presented and our guests had an incredible time. We would definitely recommend it to other couples.

Great warm welcome by everyone here. The room was lovely, bathroom was huge with a lovely slipper barh, all the little touches were appreciated. We had fantastic food and a fantastic stay. The surroundings are just amazing, should have stayed longer, we will be back

Had a lovely overnight at Berwick Lodge. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the food and service was top notch. We had dinner, which was delicious, and at breakfast the next morning we were impressed with the number of choices and quality of the food. We highly recommend to anyone visiting Bristol or looking for a convenient stopover on a car journey from London to Cornwall.

Honestly this is the most beautiful hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in the UK. The grounds, property and rooms are exquisite. I felt like I was in a scene from Bridgerton. The attention to detail in terms of decor and staff approach is second to none. We had the taster menu with the wine option and it was exceptional, I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the Mews outbuildings and loved this space. I was lucky enough to meet the owner and be shown around some of the amazing rooms in the main building and they are just WOW!

Fantastic quirky rooms with ensuites to die for. Excellent food and friendly engaged staff. We had just toured Cornwall and stayed in some excellent properties, this was right up with the best. Our only niggle was they felt the need to charge extra for fresh coffee for breakfast. I don’t know the economics of it but It irks when this is done. I’d seriously consider changing the policy and accepting the cost rather than risking guests ire. That said we will definitely come back and have already recommended it to many friends. It’s also very handily placed by the Aston Martin toy shop.
