Very satisfied, the family room is great!
It's a very old and traditional building, and the small elevator is particularly distinctive.
The hotel has been run by the family for many years. The owner is very kind and professional.
The welcome letter, chocolates, and bath towels folded into a swan when you enter the room are very warm!
Maybe because of the family operation, the breakfast varieties are limited, but when you see the guests, you greet them cordially, and then bring out another pot of coffee or hot chocolate for you. It feels like a family breakfast and is very comfortable.

Just back from a weekend in Bruges and I can't recommend the Hotel Bryghia highly enough. It's in a great location - just far enough out of the centre to be blissfully quiet and but less than 10 mins walk from the Market Square and Belfry. Right next to a beautiful canal and bridge. It was the perfect balance of an old building but with modern facilities. The bed was so comfortable, we had the best night's sleep. We were welcomed by the very warm, friendly owner, and by some Belgian chocolates in our room! The map and local knowledge he shared were priceless. We are already planning to visit again in the Summer and will definitely book the Bryghia.

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights in August 2024. We drove from the UK via the tunnel and a simple motorway drive north to Bruges. The welcome at the hotel was fantastic. Polite, knowledgeable and friendly, our receptionist gave us a detailed city map which he’d highlighted with all the ‘sights to see’. Parking was a bit of a chore. It’s very secure, but a short drive from the hotel to an underground complex of garages (with fold tea down doors). A bit of a faff, and would have been a problem with an SUV (we have a 3-series saloon which I just about squeezed in). Nonetheless very safe and secure and was no bother really. Room was small, but clean. Large king/queen bed and bathroom. Water pressure was disappointing and no air-con, so if it’d been warmer could have been an issue, but otherwise fine. It was an inexpensive hotel, and we were happy so a 4/5 rather than a 3/5, but if we’d paid more I might say a 3.
