Neighbor hood was not good. And the toilet was broken. It was too warm inside too. Also there was a note that we should not let valuables in the room and use the safe which i believe in the concierge! Because there was no safe in the room.

It was truly a quality hotel, both in terms of location and the service of the staff.

Good experience in this hotel in Brussels, perhaps a little dated and in need of a revamp for certain rooms and the doors and handles of the rooms (on the third floor!), but very good for its location, close to the grand plaza, easily accessible reachable in 10/15 minutes on foot, attached to a metro stop and just 600 meters from Gale Nord station from where it was possible to reach all the important cities of Belgium. Good and plentiful breakfast! However, the hotel is good value for money and, if we were to return, I would happily look for accommodation here given the prices of the other hotels!

We arrived around 1 pm after travelling from London on the Eurostar, our room was ready, it was a large room, much bigger than we were expecting with a large bed on one end and a wardrobe on the other. There was also a good size desk and a seating area. The toilet was separate from the bath and sink, both rooms were small but adequate for our needs. Breakfast was included in the room rate which was convenient. And breakfast was buffet style with lots of breads, cheese and meat but also hot choices of eggs and bacon. Location of this hotel was excellent. It was within walking distance for shops and restaurants and the Rogier metro station was across the road which we used to get to Grand Place and other sites. Other reviews have complained of noise but we were on the back of the hotel and found it quiet.

This hotel is as old school as it gets. And I usually don’t mind if the place is a bit dated, but in here it’s rather neglected. The towels had holes in them, the pillows were like sacks of potatoes, at breakfast there were single-use spoons. The overall vibe is like they might be closing any day. The worst part was the noise level in my room, 1st floor and facing the busy street which meant it felt like I was trying to sleep in the middle of the road. Earplugs absolutely necessary. I think the staff did a good job though trying their best, it was as clean as an old place can be and the breakfast staff was quite attentive. I would not stay here again, although the location is great.

Busy and convenient location, Rogier metro across the road, mall round the corner and 15/20 min walk to grand place. Atomium easy to get to from here too - direct tram from Rogier then 10 min walk It was perfectly clean and had a bath, balcony and breakfast included. Great solid wifi connection included. The hotel is really interesting, lots of old school touches, like the trouser press and the panels with material in them. The panels matched the material on the bottom of the bed and curtains - you can tell that years (and years) ago someone really thought about what they were doing and got things custom made. The rooms are old school, photos are accurate on *********** etc, it isn't a modern set-up. But you do get a balcony and bath tub and it is clean. It is all dated, but I just found it really interesting - the art deco lobby, wood panelled lifts, iron window-mechanism, felt like stepping back in time. Hope they keep the history/identity and original features if they refurbish x

The style of the property is a bit dated but everything is in a very good condition. The breakfast buffet was included and very nice. There is a lot of roadworks in the are which made the visit noisy. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The hotel lacked facilities to have some snacks or lunch during the day, apart from a vending machine. The location is very central and extremely walkable to the railway station

The hotel felt old, but seemed maintained. The receptionists were friendly and spoke decent english. The room felt a bit old and somewhat noisy as it was facing the boulevard. The bathroom could use a modernisation, but wasn't bad. The breakfast buffet was nice, but the staff didn't speak english very well. Overall I would say that it is a Nice but old hotel in a good location.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The attitude was very professional. Well done! The breakfast was good and varied. The room was relatively spacious. However, the mattress was way too soft and spongy, which led to a rather uncomfortable rest. Electrical outlets in the room were few and badly located. The toilet flushing was very weak. The TV in the room was extremely small and inconveniently placed. The choice of channels was poor and the quality of the analogue reception was not good. Digital reception was not available - very old-fashioned. The overall furnishings and installations in the room were in need of renovation.

Great location but traffic noise was terrible with sirens etc all night long. Very hot and no a/c so I had to keep the windows open. Great location to walk to the Grand Place. Buses stop right at the door and restaurants right there as well. Great for a couple of day trip

I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel with lovely ambience & positive spirit - high quality service indeed. So much history at one place. I'd like to add that hotel has a great location that links business and old part of the city. I especially liked my room with amazing view of city and breakfast.
