Stayed over for one night, came early evening. Staff friendly and welcoming. Restaurant/bar area was very nice and relaxing. Room clean but a little outdated and plain. Had a hot breakfast the next morning which you pay extra for. This was presented beautifully and good value for money. I left the table and left my partner seated to nip back to the room. The waitress as I walked passed asked from across the bar if I was ok, I replied yes, she then rudely and abruptly asked if I’d had a cooked breakfast I needed to pay for it. I explained my partner was still at the table and I had planned on coming back. Not how you expect to be spoken to and felt accusing and uncomfortable. Should have asked for payment upfront when I ordered if she wanted payment so fast, or even put a bill on the table. Not how you speak to customers if you want them to return.

ignorant manager when bar staff introduced us as regulars he replied he did not want to know our names , drink prices sky high food overpriced medioka come back Zoe & Tony this place has gone gradually down hill since January just when we thought they couldn't put a worst manager in than the previous 3 they have had in this year.

Room 17 was lovely. Friends who were also staying said their room needed updating. Positives: Clean, large comfortable bed, nice toiletries (that were replenished during a two night stay), spacious, good value for money, large ensuite with two sinks, seating area. Improvements: No chocolate/goodies provided as per the website, no water or fridge, tv only showed BB1 and BBC2.

The rooms were clean, although they were not up to date trendy, the Beds were lovely. We missed the breakfast as it's weekends only. Pub is lush, so are the staff. Decent car park, Would stay here again.

Stayed for one night for the Lytham 1940s Weekend. Will definitely not be staying again. The room was grubby. Bathroom floor was full of fluff and hair in the corners so the bin and toilet brush has clearly not been moved. There was black mold around the shower door. The electric socket connection for the heated towel rail was hanging off the wall with exposed wires, just what you want in a bathroom. The toilet roll holder was broken so the toilet roll was just on the dusty shelf. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work and one of the bedroom reading lights didn't work. I acknowledge that I didn't pay high class hotel fees but this is certainly NOT a 4* hotel and no matter what the price I would expect the room to be clean and safe at the very least.

4* hotel no way. I’ve stayed in better 3* hotels. The bad and beer garden were nice but the room was grubby. The shower doors were disgusting and the mattress was stained no mattress protector good job it was hot slept on top of the quilt. Supposed to be complimentary biscuits and water non thee had to ask. We stayed on Thursday evening (thank his only 1 night) when we tried to book breakfast we were told only do breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings because they’re not busy enough to pay someone to come in and do breakfast Monday to Friday. Had to check out drive 5 miles up the road for breakfast. Would I stay here again never.

Used to come here frequently well before covid, tried several times with various hosts and been disappointed. 1st time since new team (didn't rate the previous 2 owners / managers or the food). What you have now is traditional pub fare, we had the soup, mushroom, lasagne and stk & ale pie, everything nicley cooked and presented, piping hot with efficient service. Will definitely come again.
