Hotel location is wonderful - middle of the old city. Rooms are spacious enough but some of them are located over a street with a night club and are very noisy all night (especially lower floors) - this has to be mentioned at check in to relevant customers. Staff is very friendly and helpful - especially at reception. Rooms cleaning needs some improvement as some negligence showed and called for our intervention. Breakfast is great, large choice and comfortable dining room including outdoor seating Fitness center is quite small and at basement - could have been located on an upper floor facing the old city - would be wonderful

I stayed at this hotel twice because it was recommended to me and the reviews seemed mostly positive. However, my opinion is subjective and based solely on my own experience. Positive points: - The breakfast offers a wide variety of options suitable for different dietary needs. - The hotel is generally clean and maintained to an acceptable standard. - The location of the hotel is convenient, being well situated in relation to the city center. Negative points: - The first room had a noisy ventilation system in the bathroom, which would only stop after 10-15 minutes of turning off the lights. Additionally, the showerhead was broken, and the water pressure was barely noticeable. - The wifi provided by the hotel was often unstable or unreliable. A suggested tip was to use a personal hotspot connection from a phone for better connectivity. - There was a lack of shower gel in the provided toiletries, with mostly shampoos available, which was inconvenient for showering. The staff was helpful. If I could, I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

We had a very enjoyable stay here and our first time in Romania, the hotel is well placed and so many places to visit nearby. The food and service was excellent, the only minor faults for not giving five stars was the room was far to hot and not controlled well with the AC unit, so dread to think what it would be like in the summer months? The room service and bar shut far to early, so if you want to eat or drink later in the evening do it before coming back to the hotel. The staff were amazing, but keep hold of your plates at breakfast or they will be zoomed away!!

Hotel staff was helpful. Breakfast was great There is a small convenience store next to the hotel that opens until 12 midnight. However, wifi was not working on rooms in the second floor of the hotel for the entire day. Wi-Fi was fine on ground floor, and 3rd to 5h floors. Level 2 seems to be under construction or having an industrial look compared to other floors. Do take a look at the photos and see for yourself

Excellent service and location. Close to the big park. In the area you can find as well few restaurants, shops and post office. Relatively close to the shopping mall and subway. Rooms are clean and the service is good. If you need something you can always ask at the reception. If you're there you can always talk with waiters, especially with Eduardo (Eddy) - there's nothing he can't do, he'll recommend you local specialities or places worth seeing.

Marriott upper-scale properties, such as their Autograph Collection &/or Tribute Portfolio brands, continue to miss the mark. Weak management seems to plague many of these properties & consistent delivery of Marriott's Bonvoy Program only exists in the minds of HQ Executives. The experience of Bonvoy Members is something quite different in reality, since members NEVER know what to expect until they check in. Just finished 12 nights in 6 different European Marriott brands in 3 countries & only 1 even bothered to acknowledge our lifetime elite membership status. Otherwise, we received the same treatment as a guest staying at a Marriott property for the 1st time. The Marmorosch is indeed a beautiful property -- or at least the exterior & lobby area are. The rooms themselves are more more like Fairfield Inn properties in the US. Basic to the extreme & poor housekeeping was evident throughout the property. Trash that littered the floor on arrival was still there 3 days later, as were the blood droplets on the bathroom floor, & one has to question what type of housekeeping would leave a bed in the condition of the one in the attached photos? Only 1 side of the huge hand-pull drapes worked & could be opened, so we called to ask that someone be sent to fix the other side. A pleasant gentleman promptly appeared to tell us that they could not fix the drapes because a separate company had to be scheduled to do the repair. We subsequently learned from an honest employee that the non-functioning drapes issue has plagued the property since opening & is well known to owner/management. The property was previously a bank so there is a bar in the lower level Vault area, which one would incorrectly assume to be a beautiful & sophisticated location for cocktails. Unfortunately, as you descend the stairs to the lower level the loud & pulsating disco music immediately lets you know that your expectations are incorrect. We looked in the door & decided to not even bother entering & returned to the beautiful Lobby for drinks, but left after 15 minutes when no one arrived at the bar to offer service, & others who were waiting when we arrived were still unserved when we departed. Breakfast was a manic mess since the room where it is served is not capable of meeting guest needs if the hotel is more than 75% occupied. Many of the food items that should be hot are cold & unappetizing. Never saw a breakfast menu on a table in the first 2 days of our stay, & only after asking about cooked-to-order items that were being served around us on the 3rd day, were we given a menu with several options that are, in fact, available for breakfast. Check-in was the biggest fiasco we have ever encountered at ANY Marriott property. A full 50 minutes to check-in with only 2 employees manning the 4-5 positions & the Bonvoy Member sign on the front desk was completely meaningless.
