City Hotel Budapest Reviews

Centrally located budget hotel. Close to Oktogon metro station, Opera house and St Stephen’s basilica. Lots of eating choices, coffee in close proximity. Room is basic but comfortable, good bed, wifi was a bit weak at times. The only suggestion to the hotel is to provide a kettle/ coffee/tea facilities in the room , this would have been much appreciated Otherwise great and I would stay again

It takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the subway station. The hotel is in the alley. There is no kettle. The soundproofing is not very good. I always hear people talking and knocking on the door at night. But the price is right,

Location: More than 10 minutes' walk🚶🏻 from one of the train stations in Budapest. Facilities: Complete, no disposable items. Environment: There are no shops around the hotel. Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy. Service: The front desk 💁🏻 has a warm attitude when checking in.

Very top hotel, both for the location and for the cleanliness and for its common areas. Highly recommended, 8 minutes walk from the Hungarian Parliament.

There is an indoor parking lot, which costs about 20 euros a day. On-street parking on the street outside is free after 10pm.

Except that it is relatively old, everything else is good. It looks very small from the outside, but there are dozens of rooms inside. There was a waiter at the front desk who responded too slowly. After the Indian guest scolded her, she was fine.

This hotel is very good, the price is not expensive, the door is an automatic door, all the rooms are newly renovated, very good, the distance is very close, very good, 450 yuan for wallet breakfast

Good location, close to station and groceries. Room wa clean and good size. It as quite loud, traffic noise and neighboors can be heard. Staff is friendly.

Location was great for access to everything, but the noise level from the street was horrible. This included loud car stereos, loud car engines and drunks screaming at all hours of the night. Maybe a room not facing the street would have been better.

Nice , good value hotel, 5 - 10 mins walk from the centre. Only one small pillow per bed though, could do with 2 but considering the cost it was great value overall. Would stay again.

Great location. However, it would be helpful to have ironing facilities on the property rather than running to the hotel next door (Dormero) for an iron. The same applies for hot/cold/alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages which again are only available next door. In the past (Star Inn) this was not an issue, there was always someone to serve these.

Our room was ready early, the location and price were fantastic. The room and bathroom were well appointed and very clean (again, great price). The hallways leading to the room are dingy and white, but don’t let that deter you. Every other part of the hotel is great. Lastly, the reception and staff were kind and helpful!

Great location in Pest. Walking distance to train station and downtown. Service was friendly. Only negativ is that there is only air conditioning for cooling, but not to control heating.
