Excellent location, well preserved building. No elevator so avoid it if you have many luggage or difficulties in moving. Do not book with breakfast as they mean just two croissants and an orange juice.

Surprisingly an excellent place to stay

The room is beautiful! There is an exclusive private area, but the main reason is that the building is a 17th-century monument. It is considered a half-reserved area, so there is no elevator. It is not friendly to people with heavy luggage. Also, the air-conditioning in this room is very weak, so if you are a friend who is afraid of heat or Friends who are coming in summer can avoid it. But it’s very suitable in winter, it’s a romantic room! Breakfast is also paid, no need to pay extra! In terms of experience, except that it was too hot, everything else was great!

From the moment we arrived to when we headed for the airport at the end of our stay we felt welcomed by the manager and all the team at this fabulous hotel. The room was wonderful and the air-conditioning greatly appreciated given the extreme heatwave. This hotel was in a lovely location just a short walk from the breath-taking views over the Danube at Fisherman’s Bastion.

This is a delightful hotel in the castle district just 5 minutes away from the Fisherman's Bastion. The staff made our stay fantastic. They had very high standards of customer service and pulled out the stops to make it a very good stay. Definitely a great place for a 3 day break! Day 1: We took an early flight out, picked up a Bolt at the airport and were able to check in immediately on arrival at the hotel. Spent some time at the Fisherman's Bastion , St Matthias Church and had one of the local langos speciality at Zoldseges Csirke. Then it was off to the castle followed by a wickedly delicious dessert in the picturesque setting of the castle. We took a walk to the local shopping centre and walked back up the very steep hill which is definitely not for the unfit and rounded off the evening with dinner at a local restaurant. Day 2: Early morning walks around the Fisherman's Bastion to get some photos free from the crowds. Then it was a metro trip to the stunning Budapest parliament. The Danube Shoes was closed on a Saturday so we took the metro to St Stephen's Basilica which was mesmerising and went right to the top. Walked to the Great Central Synagogue (closed on a Friday) and stopped off for a light lunch at a cafe. The evening was spent on a traditional Hungarian Danube River cruise dinner. Day 3 We took a Hop on Hop Off city tour bus stopping off at Heroes Square, City Park and had a fantastic time at the spectacular New York Cafe for lunch before continuing with the tour making a final stop at Margitsziget Park which was bustling. Then it was photo walk back at the castle with a brief stop for a chimney cake and coffee. Had dinner at the hotel and spent the rest of the evening at the Hilton Hotel Skybar which offered spectacular night views of the city and parliament.

Great hotel and super quiet. Very accommodating to any questions or suggestions of where to go and what to do. Food at the hotel is amazing! Definitely eat there.

Lovely hotel. We enjoyed it very much. The rooms were really pretty and clean. The only thing that bothered us was the construction outside because the workers were very loud and noisy very early in the morning.

Wonderfully designed and perfectly located hideaway with a nice bistro and cosy atmosphere. Service was great!

Small hotel in a perfect location for the main sights of the Buda side. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and incredibly clean. The staff are friendly and excellent, and if you eat in the Bistro the food is fabulous example of local cuisine. The Hotel is very quiet at night and with very little outside noise or sleep disturbance. Fabulous in every way.
